To be honest I've repressed it because it was a bad memory and a long time ago, 2017 I think. A bunch of us were having similar issues and migrated over here together. But it all came down to being a spuffy fan.

There was a strict rule that only Spuffy-friendly and Bangel-friendly posts were allowed in the respective subsection. We actually got along well with the Bangels, even posted in each others subsections and exchanged fanfics to read. But one day the simply changed the rules and suddenly Spuffy haters were allowed to spew post on the Spuffy subsection. The mods promised they would closely moderate the Spuffy area but they didn't deliver. Those of us who complained to the mods or admins got banned and the rest of us left subsequently. Once we arrived here we heard the same had happened again and again to Spuffy fans over the years. They purge their site every other year or so.

I heard about that and an April's Fool incident that was designed to entrap Spuffys - the person who was allowed to eff over Spuffys were fairly obviously a mod pet possibly a friend of at least one of them. They admitted they weren't even a Whedon fan and I asked wtf they were there for and one of the mods said 'because they're funny' I thought the word you're looking for is troll - and in the days when you could I think there was a side order of spreading alt right propaganda too.

I think might have been katmobile on there. Vampmogs once said that they'd have kicked members off this site for some of the shit said on there.


Frankly I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did, I think they don't like people who don't toe the party line and dare to challenge their pets.

I was kicked off for challenging someone who was constantly posting that James Marsters was a child molester who adopted his niece in order to molest her. Also that he anally raped SMG in the balcony scene. I tried so hard to nicely convince her that she was out of line, and just got more crap. I finally I got pissed at her and let it show, and I was punished.

As I recall the April Fool joke was that they said from now on they were getting rid of the Spuffy section, and the Spuffies. Then when anyone took it seriously or even asked questions we were told that proved we weren't good members of the forum because they didn't trust the mods.. I remember I used to DM one of the mods, and she flat out told me that the main moderator didn't like me and wanted me gone. I finally just left.

Damn, that was a while ago. That place was a snake pit.
