    OPEN ON ? SUNNYDALE
    PUBLIC SECTOR ? INT.GRAVEYARD ? NIGHT

    CHARLIE is running ferociously. She looks panicked and keeps looking behind her at what is chasing her. Something swoops behind her but we can only see the shadow of the formidable being. She looks behind her once again and unwittingly runs into someone. She looks at the person, and her face drops; it's KAIA. She smiles at her.

    CHARLIE: Kaia, you have to help me!

    KAIA shakes her head.

    KAIA: I was always here Charlie, and I always will be, but then again...

    She smirks; evil fills her expression.

    KAIA: If you want him...he's yours.

    KAIA pushes her to the floor, and CHARLIE looks tearful. CHARLIE looks around to see the creature coming at her again. It's XAKIEL. He roars at the sky as he swoops down towards CHARLIE, fire brewing behind his tonsils ready to scorch CHARLIE once again...


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    XAK AND CHARLIE'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? MORNING

    CHARLIE suddenly awakens startled at her dreams. She looks around the room she's in, almost forgetting for a moment where she is. She breathes deeply, contemplating her dream. The door opens and XAK enters with a tray of breakfast. He looks to CHARLIE and smiles.

    XAK: Hey, thought you'd want something to eat. Fine cuisine from the bottom of the ocean. We've got toast, and...a glass of non salty water.

    She smiles softly at him.

    CHARLIE: Thank you.

    XAK: Did you sleep alright?

    CHARLIE: (smiling, lying) Like a log...

    He walks into the room, limping slightly.

    CHARLIE: (worried) You ok?

    XAK: My leg kills from last night. Sin throwing me into a wall and all.

    CHARLIE: Yeah, she can be annoying like that.

    He sits on the bed and places the tray next to her. She touches his hand.

    CHARLIE: We'll get her next time.

    XAK nods.

    XAK: I hope so.

    They're silent for a moment.

    XAK: Are we ok? I mean you know everything about me now, I'd understand if you weren't.

    CHARLIE: Of course we're ok. I mean yeah things are going to be hard with Kaia being around, but that doesn't change how I feel. If anything it makes me love you more, knowing what you went through...and looking at what you've done to be a good man.

    He looks away, embarrassed but deeply touched.

    XAK: I love you too.

    CHARLIE: Hey...

    She nudges his face and makes him look at her.

    CHARLIE: ...It's a new day. We'll take each one as it comes, just as we always do. As long as you're ok with Kaia...

    Before she can finish and before he can answer, there is a knock on the door. XAK turns to it.

    XAK: Come in.

    The door opens, it's BROGAN. He smiles at them both.

    BROGAN: Morning guys. Ursula wanted to see you both before the meeting...something's come up.

    XAK looks to CHARLIE confused, and she looks worried, anticipating that perhaps this new day wouldn't be as new and revolutionary as she had hoped...

    The images of her dream continue to plague her.


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    CONSTANCE'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? MORNING

    KAIA is sitting on CONSTANCE'S bed hugging a pillow and CONSTANCE keeps walking past the camera while KAIA watches her.

    KAIA: How about...

    CONSTANCE: (quickly, cutting her off) No.

    KAIA frowns.

    KAIA: But I could...

    CONSTANCE: (quickly, cutting her off again) No Kaia. I will not push Charlie down the stairs. And even if I agreed to, we're all on one level.

    KAIA: You ruin everything.

    CONSTANCE: Look you're scaring me. I don't even know if you're being serious or not.

    KAIA looks down.

    KAIA: You don't know what I'm going through Con.

    CONSTANCE stops and turns back to KAIA. She breathes softly and then kneels in front of her.

    CONSTANCE: I know, but you're my best friend. I'm closer to you than anyone. I can't watch you go through this. It's not healthy.

    KAIA: Don't worry about me Con, I'm fine. And I know how this is going to play out, they just haven't quite realised it yet.

    She smiles slightly and CONSTANCE sighs worried.


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    MEETING ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? MORNING

    URSULA is sat on the chair of a meeting room that looks similar to the one SMITH was talking to the syndicate in back in their home dimension. The symbol is on the wall, but everything looks more modern. XAK, CHARLIE and BROGAN are stood in front of her.

    URSULA: Thank you for coming, I had hoped not to make this a big thing until we know more.

    XAK: What is it?

    URSULA: Sofia intercepted some security footage that picked up Sin's stronghold.

    CHARLIE looks slightly nervous.

    CHARLIE: Where is she?

    URSULA: She's held up in a night club in the city. It's known as Sirens.

    XAK looks confused.

    XAK: Sirens? I've never heard of it.

    URSULA: It seems to be a well known establishment, fairly good profits are made.

    CHARLIE: Wait, I don't get it. Why's she in a club?

    URSULA: That's what I want to know. I found out that the license holder is to a man called Black. After the meeting I want you three to find out everything about it, and keep it quiet for now. I've also asked Sofia to keep this hidden, for now. Is that alright?

    XAK nods.

    XAK: You bet.


    CUT TO ? NEW YORK
    UPSTAIRS ? INT.SIRENS ? MORNING

    JESSE and DELILAH are stood watching the empty club below them. SIN'S empty throne is in the centre but it is not occupied. A few members of their family walk around the dance floor aimlessly.

    DELILAH: This sucks. Nothing to do, no vacuous whores to kill.

    JESSE: I know, it's like Sin and Black get all the action.

    DELILAH looks at him repulsed.

    DELILAH: Ew...

    JESSE rolls his eyes.

    JESSE: I meant we get nothing to do. Look at the kids; they have nothing to play with. The last guy died days ago. We can't give them corpses to play with.

    DELILAH: Black needs to work on something, and soon. Farah and Leo got to have fun, we're just...

    JESSE: The second generation?

    DELILAH nods. They look at one another thinking, as the camera moves away to BLACK'S office.


    CUT TO ? NEW YORK
    BLACK'S OFFICE ? INT.SIRENS ? MORNING

    BLACK is sitting in his chair, looking at security footage of JESSE and DELILAH. He can hear everything they're saying. He glares deeply at the screen.


    CUT TO - ENGLAND
    STOCK IMAGES ? EXT.MANOR - AFTERNOON

    The colours on the screen are blurred, as is the whole image, it looks static. The camera shows a large manor house on a warm summer's day, somewhere in England.

    CAPTION: ENGLAND ? 1836


    CUT TO ? ENGLAND
    BEDROOM ? INT.MANOR ? AFTERNOON

    The camera shows a GIRL sat at her desk writing in her diary. She is pretty and has brown hair, and looks to be nearly an adult. She is humming a jaunty tune and looks to be fairly happy and looks outside the window at the grounds.

    MAN (O/S): Drina?

    The GIRL/DRINA turns startled to look at the MAN. She is played by Kelsey-Beth Crossley.

    DRINA: Who are you?

    The MAN steps out of the shadows and looks at her. It's BLACK. He's dressed in aristocratic clothes and bows to her. He's human.

    BLACK: It's an honour to meet you my dear.

    His accent is British.

    DRINA: Excuse me sir, but I have yet to hear your response to my question. Who are you?

    BLACK: I am your Lord Chancellor, recently assigned.

    DRINA turns back to her diary.

    DRINA: I require no Chancellor, goodbye.

    BLACK smiles.

    BLACK: I thought you might respond in such a way.

    DRINA continues to ignore him.

    BLACK: But it is imperative that you deter from signing Conroy's papers.

    DRINA turns to him surprised.

    DRINA: How do you know about Conroy?

    BLACK: I know a great deal about you Drina. It is my job.

    She turns away from him again and looks at her diary. She had just written the word "Conroy"...

    DRINA: But I don't even know you.

    There is silence now, and she turns around. He's gone.

    CUT TO BLACK

    END OF TEASER

    As the screen remains black for a moment a moon begins to fade into view and then the words in bright white?SHADOW STALKER. They fade as quickly as they appeared.

    ACT ONE

    OPEN ON ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    DANTE AND LANCE'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE ? MORNING

    The colours on the screen are normal once again. LANCE has just got dressed and he is putting his shoes on.

    The door opens and DANTE enters. He is in a t-shirt and shorts, and he has a towel on his shoulders and he looks sweaty. LANCE doesn't look at him.

    DANTE: Whoa...that gym equipment is hardcore. Real modern.

    LANCE doesn't say anything as DANTE pulls off his t-shirt and begins towelling the sweat from his rippled body. He smirks at LANCE'S silence.

    DANTE: Don't have to be shy from me you know.

    LANCE looks around.

    LANCE: Will you give it a rest, please. I can't take all the pointless jibes.

    DANTE looks thrown slightly.

    DANTE: Sorry. I don't have many guy friends; I only have...you know.

    LANCE: Yeah, well learn. I know you're all happy clappy with your sexuality and that's great, but...

    DANTE: It's fine. I'll keep my pointless jibes at a distance if you want.

    LANCE stands now and goes to leave the room.

    LANCE: How could you know what I want? You don't know me.

    DANTE: I could, if you gave me a chance for once.

    LANCE contemplates this.

    LANCE: Why should I?

    DANTE looks around.

    DANTE: I don't see anyone else jumping at the chance.

    He raises his eyebrow and smiles warmly before moving to his bed. LANCE looks away and then walks to the door, opens it, and leaves.


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    ELISE'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? MORNING

    ELISE'S room is decorated in many drawings of the syndicate; SHELTER, CONSTANCE, TRAFFORD, KAIA, BROGAN and a few of URSULA. She is currently sketching a drawing of XAK. All from memory and none of the drawings are of her. TRAFFORD enters the room. He smiles at his sister. He waves and she smiles weakly at him.

    TRAFFORD: (signing) Are you ok?

    She nods.

    TRAFFORD: (signing) You're not still angry with me about yesterday are you?

    ELISE doesn't do anything. She looks away but keeps him in her peripheral vision. He sighs.

    TRAFFORD: (signing) I know you're perceptive to the light and dark sides Elise but we've been watching these people for years...

    ELISE: (signing) Exactly! Then you'll see that both of them have done things. Bad things.

    She throws her drawing pad aside and stands.

    ELISE: (signing) And my own brother can't trust me.

    TRAFFORD: (signing) I do trust you, with my life

    She looks sad at this.

    ELISE: (signing) It doesn't seem like you do.

    He looks sombre at her.

    ELISE: (signing) Who else do I have...if I can't talk to you.

    She looks away and then walks out of the room. He runs a hand through his hair and sighs.


    CUT TO ? NEW YORK
    DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? AFTERNOON

    SIN is now sat in her throne. BLACK is kneeled in front of her again, and SIN is looking fascinated at her nails.

    SIN: Tell me exactly what it is you're doing to help me Black. You seemed so willing to engage in affiliation and have failed at every step to secure it.

    BLACK looks up now.

    BLACK: If I may divulge you a plan of mine...

    SIN raises an eyebrow.

    SIN: A plan? Let me guess...it involves vampires?

    BLACK: To a certain extent. How would you like an army twice the size of the one we have already?

    SIN looks away from her nails to him, deeply intrigued in having more people to worship her.


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    MEETING ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

    XAK'S gang and The Kalipso Syndicate are sat on the chairs in the meeting room with URSULA stood in front of them all. Her speech is rounding off. ECHIDNA and SHELTER are the only ones who are not there.

    URSULA: ...And that my friends, is everything you will need to know...

    CATE turns to CHARLIE, confused.

    CATE: (whispering) Should we applaud or something?

    CHARLIE smiles and nudges her to stop talking. CATE smirks, upbeat, like last night...

    URSULA: (continuing) I know it's a lot to take in, and I will not delude you all into thinking this is going to be an easy mission, but with the correct amount of team-work, I feel we can make this work.

    Everyone begins to stand and disperse, but CHARLIE stands and moves towards the front to URSULA.

    CHARLIE: Ursula?

    URSULA looks up to CHARLIE smiling.

    URSULA: How can I help dear?

    CHARLIE: I know I should be focusing on this Black situation, but I can't.

    URSULA frowns.

    URSULA: Why's that?

    CHARLIE: What you were saying about my mom. When she tried to shoot Sin...she never explained, why?

    URSULA: She was protecting you; she was protecting us as well.

    CHARLIE: How was keeping Kaia a secret from me, protecting me?

    URSULA sighs.

    URSULA: She thought you would see it that way. I think Ea and Xak can handle this Black situation for now. Come with me...I have to show you something.

    URSULA moves away from her now and CHARLIE looks confused as to what exactly SEPHY was playing at...

    CHARLIE eventually follows her and as she does she passes CATE, DANTE and LANCE who looks confused as to what they're doing.

    DANTE: So uh...what's next? Math?

    SOFIA turns to him, breaking away from a conversation with CONSTANCE.

    SOFIA: Now you fit in where you can. Every department needs a hand in some way, right Constance?

    CONSTANCE nods.

    CONSTANCE: Of course, we could definitely use a pair of hands in the Intelligence Unit.

    SOFIA: Which reminds me, Dante?

    He looks at her smiling.

    DANTE: Need my oh so capable hands?

    SOFIA smirks, slightly embarrassed.

    SOFIA: Let's not fall into bad habits, but in a sense, yes. Come with me...

    DANTE raises his eyebrow and then follows and CATE watches with eagerness. CONSTANCE then moves towards LANCE and smiles.

    LANCE: Uh, hi?

    CONSTANCE just looks at him.

    LANCE: Can I help you?

    CONSTANCE: Yes. Come with me.

    She walks off and seems to walk in the same direction as SOFIA and DANTE. LANCE looks confused and then looks to CATE.

    LANCE: Good luck.

    He smiles slightly and then follows CONSTANCE. CATE watches him leave.

    CATE: (to herself) I don't need luck.

    She smiles and then moves away and out of the meeting room, heading in the opposite direction. The camera moves to XAK and BROGAN who are standing together.

    XAK: Wow, heavy stuff man. Well done...and thanks, for having my back these years.

    BROGAN: I just wish I could have helped you more.

    XAK: You've done more than enough. I just can't believe all that happened without any of us realising. Thank you, Ea.

    He smiles and pats his friend on the arm appreciatively.

    BROGAN: (sincerely) Anytime.

    They are silent for a moment or two and then they both notice CHARLIE and URSULA leave the room. XAK watches carefully, wondering.

    XAK: Where do you think Charlie's going?

    BROGAN: I think the stuff with Sephy is getting to her, on top of everything. She's been through a lot.

    XAK: I know...I wish I could take that away from her. I wish I could make it all stop for her.

    KAIA then walks past with TRAFFORD and ELISE. She smiles at them as she passes but XAK looks away.

    BROGAN: And don't worry about her. She's on a short leash, trust me.

    XAK: It's not Kaia's fault things are the way they are.

    BROGAN: I know, but she doesn't have to make things worse than they already are...

    XAK winces in pain once again from his leg which causes BROGAN to trail off.

    BROGAN: You ok?

    XAK: Yeah, just hurt from last night.

    BROGAN: Go and see Trafford, I'll meet you in the Intelligence Unit.

    XAK nods and BROGAN smiles at him as he moves away as XAK then moves behind him and follows him.


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    MEDICAL WARD ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE - AFTERNOON

    XAK is sat on the hospital bed and TRAFFORD is examining his injured leg. ELISE is sat nearby watching, slightly worried, and looks keenly at TRAFFORD'S technique

    TRAFFORD: How did this happen?

    XAK: My daughter threw me into a wall.

    TRAFFORD: Ah, that old chestnut.

    He smiles slightly to lighten the mood but XAK doesn't see the funny side.

    TRAFFORD: Ok...well where does it hurt?

    XAK: Just below the knee, it just comes and goes.

    TRAFFORD: Looks like a simple bone bruise, which is something I can sort out easily. First thing my father taught me.

    And then it hits XAK. SMITH. He looks around confused and looks to ELISE who is watching as TRAFFORD moves his hands over XAK'S leg to heal it.

    XAK: Smith?

    TRAFFORD looks up, and stops healing. ELISE'S eyes widen; she had lip read what XAK said.

    TRAFFORD: (quietly) What about him?

    XAK looks at him inquisitively; he knew TRAFFORD was avoiding him.

    XAK: Where is he Trafford?

    TRAFFORD looks to his sister.


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

    URSULA is walking down a corridor we haven't seen before. It is gradually sloping upwards but not at a steep gradient. CHARLIE looks confused, there are no doors branching off from this corridor.

    CHARLIE: Where are we?

    URSULA: This corridor leads to where your mother's quarters. She was rather specific on her privacy.

    CHARLIE: When did you last hear from her?

    URSULA thinks about this carefully.

    URSULA: The last time she made contact was over a week ago now. She'd heard about the hotel explosion and wished to know if you were all right.

    CHARLIE: What did you tell her?

    URSULA turns to her and smiles.

    URSULA: I told her that her daughter was standing strong as always, and that we were close by if she needed us.

    CHARLIE smiles thankfully and then she realises they have arrived at a door.

    CHARLIE: But she's ok? When you spoke to her she seemed to be doing ok?

    URSULA: Perhaps we should go inside...

    URSULA puts her hand on the scanner next to it and the door opens.

    URSULA: It only opens with mine and Persephone's signature.

    CHARLIE: Why?

    URSULA: Like I said, she was very persistent.

    She smiles again and then enters the room and CHARLIE to follow her.


    CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
    SEPHY'S QUARTERS ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

    CHARLIE enters and looks at the room in awe. There is a magnificent bed, a large computer, security cameras and a large window displaying the deep waters of the Atlantic. CHARLIE walks over to the window and looks at depths of the Ocean in wonder.

    CHARLIE: How? How is any of this possible? This building and this whole excavation...how did you afford it?

    URSULA: Well as I told you in the meeting, we've had funding.

    CHARLIE: Right, "The Sponsor"...we ever gonna meet him?

    URSULA is silent for a moment.

    URSULA: Not yet. Anyway "The Sponsor" did not fund this building so to speak; just a guardian angel over the mission; funding in a different sense.

    CHARLIE: So how did you finance this place?

    URSULA: When your mother learned of the syndicate, she conversed with her closest relatives. Her uncle wished to help the most.

    CHARLIE: Which?

    URSULA: Poseidon.

    CHARLIE looks at URSULA in shock. She's speechless.

    URSULA: What is it my dear?

    CHARLIE: It's just with everything going on here, I sometimes forget about where I come from.

    URSULA shakes her head.

    URSULA: You should never. There are powerful beings who are fighting for your life.

    CHARLIE: (desperately) I don't mean to, it's just...

    URSULA moves towards her and puts a hand on hers.

    URSULA: Charlie, please. You must calm down. Things are tougher than ever right now and your mother is most worried about you. So much so she has summoned Echidna and Shelter to ask of your status.

    CHARLIE looks even more shocked.

    CHARLIE: They've gone? Already...

    URSULA: I know. It was a shock to us when Echidna kept disappearing, but we're used to it now. Echidna has kept in close contact with Persephone since she left. She's her closest confidant. I must say I was surprised when she requested to see Shelter too, perhaps she wished to help her with her problem...we shall not know until we hear from her. As usual, your mother was elusive.

    CHARLIE turns and looks out the window.

    CHARLIE: I can't do this, it's just too much.

    She is tearful.

    CHARLIE: This was supposed to be a new day, and all I've done so far is feel ungrateful and more alone and futile than ever, what kind of warrior am I?

    URSULA: One who has lost her way, and will find it again soon, I assure you on that my dear.

    CHARLIE: What difference can I make Ursula? I can't stop Sin, I can't stop my best friend from grieving, I can't stop my Kaia from wanting Xak and I can't even see my mother when I need her most. I'm surrounded by people and I'm alone.

    URSULA looks at CHARLIE and notes the anguish on her young face. She sighs, and then moves over to SEPHY'S bed. There is a blue file on it that says CHARLIE'S name on the front. URSULA picks it up and moves back to CHARLIE.

    URSULA: I was hoping that you wouldn't have to see this, but I think you might need it.

    CHARLIE: What is it?

    URSULA hands her the file.

    CUT TO BLACK

      ACT TWO

      OPEN ON ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      MEDICAL WARD ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      XAK is leaning against the medical bed now with his arms folded; he looks to be dumbfounded by what he's learnt about SMITH.

      XAK: Wow.

      TRAFFORD: Yeah, I'm sorry you had to find out from me. I'm sure Ursula's gonna kick my ass for this.

      XAK: Well I appreciate you telling me.

      TRAFFORD: Yeah, I just can't believe they kept it from us all this time.

      XAK looks confused now.

      XAK: Kept what from us?

      TRAFFORD: Ursula and my dad. The Elders knew all about where you came from.

      XAK looks astonished.

      XAK: What? Trafford, start again from the beginning, and this time elaborate more on the argument you had before you came through the portal...

      The door opens CATE knocks on the door as she walks in with a big grin on her face.

      CATE: Knock knock!

      XAK, TRAFFORD and ELISE turn to her.

      TRAFFORD: What is it Cate?

      CATE: Oh I just wanted a word with you...

      She looks at XAK.

      CATE: ...If that's ok?

      XAK: Sure.

      He looks to TRAFFORD.

      XAK: We'll talk later though.

      TRAFFORD looks reluctant to but XAK moves, without pain at last, towards the door, he stops when he gets to CATE, she looks at him apologetically.

      CATE: (whispering) Sorry, I hope I haven't interrupted anything.

      XAK: It's ok, it can wait.

      She smiles at him, he looks at her confused.

      XAK: Glad you're feeling better?

      CATE: Oh it's all fluffy my side. Not to worry.

      XAK: Ok...well if you need me for anything, just ask.

      He then leaves the Medical Ward and for a moment her gaze lingers at where he stood.

      TRAFFORD (O/S): Cate? What did you want?

      She snaps out of her momentary day dream and looks at him.

      CATE: Oh right...

      She moves further into the room.

      CATE: Well, we all need to fit in somewhere with this merge right? So I'm your girl!

      TRAFFORD looks confused.

      TRAFFORD: You want to work with us in the Medical Ward?

      CATE: Sure, more hands are better than no hands, right?

      TRAFFORD: What do you know about medicine?

      CATE: Hey mister, I aced Chem in High School ok? I was bad ass with a test tube. Besides, it'll be fun.

      She smiles happily and then looks at ELISE.

      CATE: Right?

      ELISE glares at her and crosses her arms.


      CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      XAK is stood outside the Medical Ward and is leaning against the wall thinking intently. What did they know?

      KAIA (O/S): You ok?

      He looks up to see KAIA walking in his direction, she has a file in her hand. He hesitates but then...

      XAK: What do you remember about the argument with Smith?

      KAIA: Ah, so you heard about that.

      XAK: Why is Ursula keeping this from me? Is it bad?

      KAIA sighs and looks at him sympathetically. They are both silent for a moment; KAIA explicitly so, as she thinks.

      KAIA: Come with me, I'll tell you what you need to know.

      XAK looks hesitant.

      XAK: I don't know...

      KAIA: Oh Xak come on. I know I kind of put you on the spot last night, and yeah I have feelings for you, which is why I don't see the point in keeping this from you.

      XAK: Are you sure it's not just to spite the others?

      KAIA: Nah, that's just an added bonus.

      She smirks, and laughs.

      KAIA: Seriously, you want to find out or not?

      He looks at her worried. He knew CHARLIE would not like it, but he had to know...


      CUT TO ? NEW YORK
      DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? AFTERNOON

      BLACK'S vampires finally are hard at work. A large group of them are moving SIN'S throne away from the dance floor. Others are sweeping and some are unloading alcohol bottles into the fridges. DELILAH and JESSE look around confused. They approach BLACK who is stood nearby overseeing the operation.

      DELILAH: What's going on?

      BLACK: We're opening the club my dear. We could use the income.

      JESSE: Is that the only reason why?

      BLACK: I think we could use some more bodies around.

      DELILAH looks happy.

      DELILAH: We get to feed?

      BLACK: No...you get to feast.

      He smiles at them both, a maniacal glare in his eyes.


      CUT TO - ENGLAND
      GARDENS ? INT.MANOR ? MORNING

      The colours on the screen are blurred, as is the whole image, it looks static. DRINA is pacing the grounds of the manor with a heightened sense of panic and thought. She barely notices BLACK appearing behind her, but then she feels his presence. She turns.

      DRINA: H-how did you know? About Conroy...

      BLACK: I was right wasn't I?

      DRINA nods nervously. BLACK sighs regretful at scaring her, he moves forward.

      BLACK: I didn't mean to scare you my dear. I promise.

      DRINA: You can't have known about that though. You shouldn't have...

      BLACK: It is my job Drina. It is who I am, and what I do.

      DRINA looks at him and gulps deeply.

      DRINA: Then you can protect me.

      BLACK: I was going to.

      He turns and begins to walk away.

      BLACK: I'll be in touch.

      WOMAN (O/S): Drina!

      DRINA turns. The WOMAN/DRINA'S MAID is approaching.

      DRINA'S MAID: Drina dear. Your supper is being prepared. I have to buy more cabbages though, so I shall be back soon miss.

      DRINA nods.

      DRINA: Very well.

      DRINA turns back to BLACK. He is gone.

      DRINA'S MAID: (concerned) What is it my dear? Who was that man?

      DRINA: No one...just a friend.

      She turns back to her and smiles.


      CUT TO ? ENGLAND
      ALLEY ? INT.VILLAGE ? EVENING

      BLACK is strolling down the village nearby to the manor and then turns into one of the alleyways. He walks some way and then stops.

      BLACK: I know you are there, creatures.

      He turns and three men are stood behind him, their eyes fixed on to his. BLACK looks at them without fear.


      CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      The colours return to normal as we cut to the modern day and XAK and KAIA walking down a new corridor in the base.

      KAIA: About last night...

      XAK: It's fine.

      KAIA: I shouldn't have done that to you. I mean it's difficult for me, but you have both of us to deal with.

      XAK: You know Charlie's a great girl. You'd be able to see that if you gave her a chance. I know it's not easy, but this...

      KAIA: ...Can't go on? Yeah I get that. There's only room for one girl Xak. I know that.

      They arrive at a door.

      KAIA: We're here.

      XAK: And where exactly is here.

      KAIA: The Mystic Lab. It's kind of my project; something to keep me and Shelter busy.

      She opens the door.

      KAIA: After you.

      She smiles and XAK looks at her. He walks in and she follows, her smile twists as she does. She shuts the door behind them.


      CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      ARCHIVES ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      The room is pitch black and then a light switches on. LANCE and CONSTANCE are stood in the room. There are files everywhere.

      CONSTANCE: This is our archives in the Intelligence Unit.

      LANCE: What do you want me to help you with?

      CONSTANCE: Help me with? This is your job, you file.

      His eyes widen.

      LANCE: What?!

      CONSTANCE: Everything is put in date of obtaining information, and as you can see we haven't really been persistent in that system, but now we have some extra hands...well, that's where you come in.

      LANCE: But...

      CONSTANCE smiles.

      CONSTANCE: Get to it.

      She turns and leaves the archives.


      CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      INTELLIGENCE UNIT ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      BROGAN is sat at one of the desks in the Intelligence Unit flicking through hours of security footage of Sirens. The footage shows many people; FARAH, LEO, DELILAH and JESSE ? all of whom mean nothing to him. In the background behind him we can see DANTE and SOFIA. He looks bored as XAK and CHARLIE are still not there helping him.

      The camera moves over to DANTE and SOFIA. She hands him a disk.

      DANTE: What's this?

      SOFIA sighs slightly and looks hesitant.

      SOFIA: It's got some information on Sin encoded on to it. It's password protected and we haven't be able to decipher the code.

      DANTE: What makes you think I can help?

      SOFIA: We found it in the hotel debris...

      DANTE: So...

      He realises what this means.

      DANTE: (quietly) ...It's Christian's isn't it?

      She nods.

      SOFIA: Think you can do it?

      DANTE sighs and looks at the disk wondering what CHRISTIAN could have encoded on to it.


      CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      MEDICAL WARD ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      TRAFFORD looks at CATE, slightly confused.

      TRAFFORD: Ok then...

      CATE: Well, do I get the tour or not?

      TRAFFORD looks to his sister and then back to CATE. He rolls his eyes and sighs softly.

      TRAFFORD: Uh, sure why not.

      He stands and then walks towards her.

      TRAFFORD: Ok, well we have the beds, pretty self explanatory.

      CATE: Do I need to be taking notes?

      TRAFFORD raises an eyebrow.

      TRAFFORD: Uh, no...I think you're good.

      CATE smiles nervously and then points to something.

      CATE: Oh ok, so what's that?

      TRAFFORD looks around. It's the cabinet from which CATE stole the wooden box...

      TRAFFORD: You must have a keen eye for the good stuff.

      CATE: What do you mean?

      TRAFFORD: What's in there is kind of experimental.

      CATE: (slightly worried) Come again?

      TRAFFORD: Basically anything you've come up against, we've studied it and tried to find cures should they prove lethal

      CATE: Like what?

      TRAFFORD: Uh, well...

      He moves towards the cabinet and pulls out a silvery substance in a test tube.

      TRAFFORD: Remember A.I.D.A?

      CATE nods.

      TRAFFORD: This is her blood - turns out it's a rather toxic substance. We thought it would be best to find an antidote for it just in case any of you come into contact with it.

      CATE: Wow, that's super smart.

      TRAFFORD smiles.

      TRAFFORD: Thanks.

      He is distracted now, he looks at the cabinet and notices what is missing. The wooden box.

      TRAFFORD: Huh...

      CATE notices that he has seen it is missing.

      CATE: (convincingly) What is it?

      TRAFFORD: No it's fine. I can't have put it back right...I can make some more.

      CATE smiles happily.

      CATE: Oh that's good, can't have us without one of these precious antidotes.

      TRAFFORD: It wasn't an antidote...it was the thing we need the antidote for. I haven't been able to master it...not quite.

      CATE looks slightly worried.

      CATE: Not to worry, I'm sure it'll turn up...

      TRAFFORD: (his mind wondering) Yeah...

      He turns to ELISE. She's gone...

      TRAFFORD: What is up with things going missing...

      CATE smiles and then looks at another syringe.

      CATE: What's this?

      She goes to pick it up. TRAFFORD looks panicked.

      TRAFFORD: Cate! No...that's Xak's transgression fluid.

      CATE recoils.

      CATE: Jeesh, that was close. Scales aren't a good look on me.

      TRAFFORD: Actually it wouldn't turn you into what Xak was. It just brings out your inner darkness...

      CATE: Interesting.

      She looks at it and then smiles at him.

      CATE: Come on. Onwards with the tour...

      She pulls him off screen.


      CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      ELISE storms down the corridor in an angry rage, away from the Medical Ward. Her destination in mind. If TRAFFORD wouldn't tell URSULA about her worries...she would...


      CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
      INTELLIGENCE UNIT ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

      BROGAN is still sat in front of the computer going through security footage. CONSTANCE approaches him. He stops fast forwarding through the footage and without knowing it stops on the camera showing the corridor to the bathrooms in Sirens. The place where CATE discovered DELILAH'S body...

      CONSTANCE: What are you doing?

      BROGAN looks to her.

      BROGAN: Trudging through surveillance footage.

      CONSTANCE: Why? Isn't that my job?

      BROGAN: Ursula asked me to, and Xak and Charlie were supposed to be helping...have you seen them? What's so important that means they can get out of this?

      CONSTANCE: Sorry, I haven't. Just got the Emory boy downstairs in the archives.

      BROGAN laughs.

      BROGAN: You're such a tyrant Con...

      CONSTANCE smirks.

      CONSTANCE: I do my best. So what's the footage of?

      BROGAN sighs.

      BROGAN: I shouldn't say.

      CONSTANCE: I think we both know Ursula's superiority is us just humouring her. The rule of the Elders expired when we left their dimension. Just tell me Ea...

      He sighs and then shows her what he's been looking at; leases, newspaper cuttings, pictures.

      BROGAN: Turns out Sin's been hiding out in a downtown club called Sirens.

      CONSTANCE: I haven't heard of it. What's she doing there?

      BROGAN: I don't know, but this guy called Black owns it, and check it out...I did some digging and it turns out that the property has been owned by a Black for over a century. It's been various things from a cafe, to a restaurant and now this.

      CONSTANCE looks confused.

      CONSTANCE: I don't get it.

      BROGAN: Same signature on the lease, and there's no records of there being more than one man called Black associated with the property; we're talking about the same guy, just really old.

      CONSTANCE: What do you mean...he's a Demon?

      BROGAN: Maybe, I don't know...I was hoping to find out a bit more about it. Just need a way into this place we can exploit...

      CONSTANCE looks to the screen and sighs. And then her eyes widen.

      CONSTANCE: Hello way in...

      BROGAN looks confused and then turns to the screen to see DELILAH dead on the floor of the corridor, and CATE is stood over her. BROGAN looks shocked and then he turns to his cousin.

      What did CATE know about Sirens?

        OPEN ON ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        URSULA'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? AFTERNOON

        The door to URSULA'S room opens. It's larger than the other bedrooms but not as grand as SEPHY'S. ELISE peers through the gap of the door and knocks, but it is empty. She walks into the room and notices a pad of paper next to URSULA'S bed. She walks over and then sits on the edge of the bed and takes the pen next to the pad. She begins writing a message.

        "Ursula, I'm worried about Cate and Lance. Trafford won't take me seriously, will you? Elise."

        She goes to leave but then out of the corner of her eye she notices her name wrote in URSULA'S diary, which is resting on the bed. She knows she shouldn't look but she looks at the page...

        "The merge is going to be more difficult with Echidna and Shelter gone, and Kaia's determination to win back Xak. I'm going to do everything I can to focus on this issue at the moment; perhaps it will clear my mind of the guilt I have. Poor Elise and Shelter...with their father's gone, I'm their only hope. I pray they won't hate me when they find out what I know.

        Never forget: TAWE and SE. They'll find out sooner or later. The truth can never stay buried.

        ELISE looks shocked. How could she even think that URSULA would listen to her...when she was keeping something hidden from her, but...what was it?


        CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        MEDICAL WARD ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? EVENING

        BROGAN, CONSTANCE and TRAFFORD are stood over CATE as she is sat in a chair in the Medical Ward. She looks nervous and she taps her fingers against her thigh, which TRAFFORD notices.

        CATE: (quietly) What is it you want to know exactly?

        CONSTANCE: How about how you're involved with the murder of a woman?

        CATE: I'm not involved! I didn't kill her.

        CONSTANCE: You assisted in covering it up though. You let vampires feed off her and then turn her...what kind of Slayer does that?

        CATE: Well maybe you didn't notice on your little surveillance hack but I dusted those vampires and then I had a slight problem of my friends being blown up and then arrested to worry about. Not to mention your best friend throwing my best friend's world into chaos. So yeah...I forgot, ok?

        CONSTANCE walks away now, BROGAN sighs.

        BROGAN: Ok Con, how about you give it a rest. This isn't an interrogation Cate...we just wanna know what you know. The man who owns that club is housing Sin...

        CONSTANCE relaxes slightly and leaves it to her cousin.

        CATE: What? She can't be there...I would have seen something.

        BROGAN: So you're saying you don't think Sin was there when you were there?

        CATE: I know, ok. I saw a lot of stuff when I was there...and she wasn't one of them.

        BROGAN looks to TRAFFORD and CONSTANCE who look intrigued by this.

        BROGAN: Ok, start from the beginning....tell me everything you know.

        CATE breathes heavily and then looks up at him, her mouth poised to spill the secrets of what truly happened on the night she was at Sirens...


        CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? EVENING

        The corridor has no one inside it, until the door to the Medical Ward bursts open and BROGAN rushes out of it. At a startling speed he runs down the corridor. CATE stumbles out of the room after him. She watches him leave and then hurries towards her bedroom in a cold sweat.


        CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        LOBBY ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? EVENING

        CHARLIE and URSULA re-enter from the corridor they were walking down to get to SEPHY'S room. CHARLIE is clutching the folder URSULA gave her and she looks torn.

        URSULA: What do you suppose you will do now?

        CHARLIE: I don't know. I should talk to Xak and the others...see what they suggest.

        URSULA: Would it matter?

        CHARLIE: I don't know. Kind of indecisive at the moment if you hadn't noticed...

        She smiles to URSULA and the Elder places an arm around CHARLIE'S arm.

        URSULA: You're doing much better than I would have thought you would Charlie, don't knock yourself. I was most worried about introducing you to the ranks.

        CHARLIE: Well it beats being hunted by city folk with pitch forks. Plus...

        She taps the folder, reassuringly.

        CHARLIE: ...Having a lifeline sure helps.

        URSULA: I just hope you won't have to use it.

        CHARLIE: I'm sure I won't, this Kaia thing will blow over soon...

        URSULA nods, but her expression doesn't look convinced.


        CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        MYSTIC LAB ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? EVENING

        XAK and KAIA are sat on the floor of the Mystic Labs going through hundreds of files. The lab is a small but comfortable room with various spell books and potions dotted around the many shelves. Both the Thorns look frustrated.

        XAK: (annoyed) Kaia, are you sure it's here?

        KAIA: Of course it is! I just can't remember where I put it.

        XAK: I thought you were going to tell me about it anyway?

        KAIA: Right, uh...small technicality with that is that, all the information's in one of these files. I don't want to get it wrong...it's important. Why else would we have sat here for hours?

        XAK: I've got a good suggestion...

        He continues to look through his current file while KAIA stops and looks up at him, hurt.

        KAIA: You know it may have escaped your attention but everything I've done and am doing is to help you.

        XAK: Like asking me if I still loved you? And confronting Charlie yesterday?

        KAIA: Oh shoot me down, I'm a flawed person who is hurting Xak! Doesn't make me a bad person, you should know. You loved me enough to marry me...

        He throws the file on the floor and stands.

        XAK: Ok you know what, all this crap about my past and where I came from doesn't actually matter. I'm going...

        He walks towards the door, but it mystically bolts, causing him to stop. He turns to see KAIA stood and her hand pointing towards the door.

        KAIA: If it doesn't matter...why are you here?


        CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        LOBBY ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? EVENING

        URSULA and CHARLIE are still in the lobby and are continuing their discussion.

        URSULA: (changing the discussion away from KAIA) Well perhaps it would be best to find your friends and discuss the next best option for you to follow. I think Dante will be in the Intelligence Unit so we should start there.

        CHARLIE: Ok, and listen Ursula, thanks for this. I really appreciate it, you've been great.

        URSULA smiles at her warmly.

        URSULA: Just doing my job my dear, plus it helps to be upbeat around you young people; you're all full of such zest!

        CHARLIE laughs and they begin walking towards the Intelligence Unit when BROGAN hurries towards them.

        BROGAN: Ursula!

        URSULA: (shocked) Ea, by Suspiria's agility, what is it?

        BROGAN: It's about this Black guy. He's not a guy at all...

        CHARLIE: (confused) He's a girl?

        BROGAN: Not quite, try a vampire of almost two hundred years. Where were you today?

        CHARLIE is silent.

        URSULA: Sorry I asked her to help me with an errand at the last minute.

        BROGAN: Oh ok.

        CHARLIE: So how did you find out about Black?

        BROGAN: Bit of research on the club, combined with some information Cate gave me.

        CHARLIE looks confused.

        CHARLIE: Cate? What does she have to do with it?

        BROGAN: Turns out she had a slight run in with Black and his family at Sirens a few weeks back.

        CHARLIE sighs.

        CHARLIE: I knew she'd get into trouble if she wasn't more careful.

        URSULA looks concerned.

        URSULA: You mean this is a regular occurrence for her? We didn't notice this...

        CHARLIE looks guilty.

        BROGAN: Let's worry about Cate later, right now we have a bigger problem on our hands.

        URSULA: What is it?

        BROGAN: According to the notice on the Sirens website...they're re-opening after a staff shortage. They're "looking to recruit".

        CHARLIE: Oh god, a massacre...and not the good kind.

        URSULA: I can assure you, there is no good kind.

        BROGAN looks at URSULA determined.

        BROGAN: I have to stop him Ursula. If Black does this, hundreds of people will die tonight...

        URSULA: Hm, you're right. Who do you want to take?

        BROGAN goes to open his mouth when...

        CHARLIE: Can I go?

        BROGAN and URSULA look slightly surprised.

        BROGAN: You wanna?

        CHARLIE: I could do with some fresh air and some perspective. Nothing like stopping a massacre in a night club to help solve your problems...

        URSULA looks wary and sighs.

        URSULA: I don't know...

        CHARLIE looks at her entreatingly.

        CHARLIE: Please, Ursula. I need to go, I need to get out of here for a while. Let me find my way...my way. Please.

        URSULA looks at her, still nervous but convinced nonetheless by CHARLIE'S determination.

        URSULA: You two must be careful, stay away from the streets. Charlie mustn't be seen...not after last night.

        BROGAN: We'll be fine, I promise.

        He looks at CHARLIE.

        BROGAN: Let's suit up.

        CHARLIE nods, pleased at being able to get some perspective for a few hours.

        URSULA: I'll inform Xak and the others for you Charlie, don't worry.

        They begin to walk away but URSULA looks at them.

        URSULA: Don't forget, if you find Black, kill him. He's a threat to us, and looks to be a major link in Sin's chain. If we want to take her down, we have to take away her resources...

        They nod, prepared for battle.


        CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        INTELLIGENCE UNIT ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? EVENING

        The door opens and CONSTANCE and TRAFFORD enter. She looks mostly annoyed.

        CONSTANCE: (about CATE) Where do you think she was off to in a hurry?

        TRAFFORD: (sighing) I don't know ? she's a mystery, much more so than I thought when I'd just heard about her.

        CONSTANCE: Well she better get her act together soon, we can't afford to carry dead weight in war.

        TRAFFORD: She's grieving Constance, the stages aren't as regular as they write in pamphlets.

        CONSTANCE: Hm, regardless. I hope she gets over it soon. Her friends need her...

        TRAFFORD: I'm not so worried about that, I just hope she doesn't run into Elise; my sister doesn't seem overly fond of her.

        CONSTANCE: Elise is hardly the violent type.

        TRAFFORD: I know, she's just upset at the moment...she thinks I'm going to be taken away from her.

        CONSTANCE: She thinks she's going to lose her brother to the scary grieving Slayer?

        TRAFFORD: We've lost people before Constance, it's in our nature to be scared. You should know, or have you built a wall so high you can't even see over it?

        He raises an eyebrow at her and she looks annoyed. He looks around the room for ELISE but she is not there.

        TRAFFORD: (to everyone) If anyone sees my sister, call me.

        He leaves the room, and CONSTANCE watches him leave.

        LANCE (O/S): (exhausted) Ok...done...

        CONSTANCE turns around to see LANCE, breathing heavily in front of her, clearly tired from working hard in the Archives. She smiles at him.

        CONSTANCE: Impressive.

        The camera passes to DANTE and SOFIA who are still working on the computers nearby. While SOFIA is working on one computer, DANTE is staring at the password indicator for CHRISTIAN'S encoded disk. He looks confused and has various words crossed out on a pad of paper nearby such as "Wolfram and Hart suck", "Leigh Sinclair", "Doom on the world"...and then it hits him. He knows the password. He types in the words:

        "Annette Du Pirk".

        He presses enter and the screen floods with information, charts, notes, and pictures ? all relating to Sin's development. DANTE'S eyes widen and he smiles as he realises it worked.

        DANTE: I..I did it!

        SOFIA turns to him.

        SOFIA: What?

        DANTE: I did it! The disk! Look!

        She looks amazed and then looks at the screen of everything that was on the disk.

        SOFIA: Oh my god! Dante!

        She hugs him thankfully and as she breaks away he kisses her. She lingers for a moment, and as they break away in between them, in the background, LANCE and CONSTANCE watch, but DANTE and SOFIA do not notice them.

        SOFIA: Uh...what was that for?

        DANTE looks into her eyes.

        DANTE: Falling into bad habits...

        SOFIA looks at him for a moment, and then looks away, unsure of what to say.

        SOFIA: I...

        She is cut off by the door opening and URSULA entering. She looks around at the four of them and they look to her too.

        URSULA: Oh good, I'm pleased to find you four here, I have something to tell you. Where are the others?

        CONSTANCE: Trafford's looking for Elise; she got upset by Cate who also went away somewhere.

        URSULA: By Suspiria's drama...what has happened here? It's like our headquarters have turned into some television show or something.

        CONSTANCE: You wanted the merge Ursula, this is what happens. (miming an explosion) Boom.

        URSULA looks at CONSTANCE slightly annoyed.

        URSULA: Yes well, be that as it may, where's Xak and Kaia? I must tell you all about a mission Ea and Charlie have embarked on...

        Everyone looks at one another slightly worried, unsure of where XAK and KAIA could be; especially CONSTANCE considering what KAIA had said to her earlier...


        CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
        MYSTIC LAB ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? EVENING

        XAK: Kaia, don't...

        KAIA moves towards him.

        KAIA: It wasn't just your memories that came back yesterday was it? Your feelings did as well...

        XAK: My memory of my feelings did. Doesn't mean I feel them now...

        KAIA: Doesn't it?

        XAK looks at her and then breezes past her away from the door.

        XAK: You don't know what I'm feeling.

        KAIA smirks and then turns.

        KAIA: I used to, I can get back to that...

        XAK: We can never get back to how we were Kaia, don't you see that.

        KAIA: We made a vow.

        XAK: We did, but fate had other plans for us, this was what was meant to happen.

        KAIA: Thought you liked trying to defy the laws of destiny; you tried stopping Charlie and Rack from dying, you even tried making sure Sin had a normal life.

        XAK: Exactly, and look how that turned out. I know my place Kaia, you should too. Move on, It's not healthy...

        KAIA looks away, hurt.


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? EVENING

        The club has opened early and is brimming with people dancing and drinking. For every human in the room, a vampire is close by. BLACK moves amongst the crowd to the front door. He looks at one of the door men who are checking people's ID as they enter. He leans into one of them and whispers in his ear...

        BLACK: Keep letting them in...no one gets out.

        The door man nods and then BLACK smirks and walks away into the club once again.


        CUT TO ? ENGLAND
        ALLEY ? INT.VILLAGE ? EVENING

        The colours on the screen are blurred, as is the whole image, it looks static. The flashback is continued from where it was last left. BLACK looks at three men without fear. They begin to advance on him.

        MAN #1: We know who you are.

        BLACK: Oh? Enlighten me.

        MAN #2: You're one of the Blacks. The protectors of the humans.

        BLACK: Shrewd observation my friend, shrewd. Clearly you're an evolutionary god.

        MAN #3: Quiet mortal. You have deterred our attacks for the last time.

        BLACK: So it was you behind Conroy's advancements.

        MAN #2: Our master was most eager in obtaining the girl's signature. You've ruined that - you Blacks are all the same. You protect, and then you die.

        MAN #1: Word in the underworld is that your great grandfather was a Watcher who got a bit, shall we say, controversial and exiled.

        BLACK looks angry now.

        BLACK: You know nothing about my grandfather, vampire.

        The men smirk and each of them vamp out, and snarl at BLACK, advancing on him.

        VAMPIRE #2: So it is correct then? Interesting...so what is this then? A rogue mission?

        BLACK: We do not protect the Slayer. We protect the people the Slayer cannot reach so easily; those who need our protection more than they think.

        VAMPIRE #1: So who's protecting you, Black?

        They have him cornered now.

        BLACK: My duty is to protect, not to be protected.

        VAMPIRE #2: Well, let's see how keen your precious girl is to be protected once we are done with you...

        They pounce on BLACK now and each of them sink their teeth into his jugular. He screams in pain and grips on to the old walls for support but their weight causes him to fall to the floor. In the background a woman approaches, and looks fearful.

        WOMAN: Is everything alright...

        The vampires turn to her and they snarl at the woman. She looks horrified, and looks at BLACK'S face...recognising him. The WOMAN screams and turns, running away, dropping her cabbages...DRINA'S MAID.

        BLACK'S head drops back as he finally succumbs to the seduction of the bloodletting.


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        ALLEY ? EXT.STREETS - NIGHT

        The colours on the screen return to normal as CHARLIE and BROGAN, dressed in black walk cautiously down the alleys of the city, near Sirens.

        BROGAN: How are you doing?

        CHARLIE: Not too bad...I mean it's a bit scary having to hide from like every citizen, but it's ok.

        BROGAN: I didn't mean the mission, I meant the merge. Kaia's not been giving you a hard time?

        CHARLIE: She's been fine, I mean really good considering ? can't be easy for her to deal with, seeing Xak and I together.

        BROGAN: (sighing) Yeah, I know. I just hope she can get past it soon and see there are other people out there...

        CHARLIE looks at him and smiles, realising what he means.

        CHARLIE: I see. Listen, Ea...I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to bite your head off.

        BROGAN: Trust me, it's fine.

        He smiles at her and then looks up as they begin to approach the end of the alley; Sirens on the other side of the road.

        CHARLIE: Is that it?

        BROGAN: Looks that way.

        There are only a few more people in the queue...


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        DJ BOOTH ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        Music is blaring and everyone looks to be getting drunk. JESSE is on the decks and looks at DELILAH who approaches him, she enters the booth.

        JESSE: How's this gonna go down?

        DELILAH: On the next song...we drink.

        JESSE smirks.

        JESSE: Well it just so happens...

        He places a new LP on the decks and begins playing the track.

        SONG: MOBY ? BODYROCK

        DELILAH: This song totally rocks my killing vibe.

        He smirks and they move out of the DJ Booth.


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        STREET ? EXT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        CHARLIE and BROGAN move across the street seeing no cars, and no more people queuing to enter. They approach the door but the door men stop them. The sound of Moby from within can be heard.

        CHARLIE: Can we go in please?

        BROGAN: Yeah?uh, we need to get our groove on.

        CHARLIE: And drink, don't forget drink.

        BROGAN: Yes of course, we need to?

        He raises his eyebrow confused.

        BROGAN: ?Get our drink on.

        The door men look to one another, and then they look at them both.

        DOOR MAN #1: Sorry?reached capacity. Come back another night.

        They move into the club and close the door. CHARLIE sighs and then turns to BROGAN.

        CHARLIE: Get our drink on?

        BROGAN: I haven't been to a bar before!

        CHARLIE: Well this is great, how can we get in now?


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        UPSTAIRS ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        SIN is stood next to BLACK overlooking the dance floor, many of the vampire children are sat around her feet, looking at her adoringly. She looks skeptical at the scene.

        SIN: This had better work, Black. My faith in you as a disciple is faltering?

        BLACK just continues to smile at the crowd and the imminent view that will appear before him; a beautiful massacre.


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        JESSE, DELILAH and many vampires move throughout the crowd, smiling at one another and at the other vampires surrounding the dance floor and the unsuspecting dancers. (The music below plays throughout)

        "Rock ya'all
        No stop ya'll
        To the beach ya'all
        The bodyrock ya'll
        "

        Each one of the vampires vamp out and grab a victim; one human for each vampire, sometimes two vampires to each human. (The music below plays throughout)

        "Today is rock ya'all
        No stop ya'll
        To the beach ya'al,
        The bodyrock ya'll
        "

        The people begin to scream as the vampires feed off of them, snarling and lavishing in the blood soaked necks of the clubbers. (The lines below play repeatedly until the end of Act Three)

        "We rock the party
        Rock the party
        Come on...
        "


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        STREET ? EXT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        CHARLIE and BROGAN soon become alerted to what is happening, the screams for help beckoning them inside. BROGAN begins banging on the door but it is bolted shut in various places.

        CHARLIE: (grasping her mouth) Oh god?


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        As some of the victims fall to the floor motionless - blood staining their necks and the blood from their sire resting on their lips ? DELILAH and JESSE feed off of a young woman.


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        STREET ? EXT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        BROGAN'S repeated pounding on the door continues but he is getting nowhere.

        CHARLIE: Ea, move out the way.

        BROGAN: Why?

        CHARLIE: Just trust me?

        He does and she stands in front of the door and closes her eyes. Her hands hover over the door and she concentrates. Suddenly she opens her eyes?

        CHARLIE: Open!

        A mystical force erupts from CHARLIE causing the door to fall in on the club, and causing CHARLIE to fly back into BROGAN.

        BROGAN: Whoa, you ok?

        CHARLIE nods and regains her footing.

        CHARLIE: Yeah come on?

        They run into Sirens, but as they do, they barely notice that the screaming has already stopped.


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        CHARLIE and BROGAN stop as soon as they enter, sickened and shocked by the sea of dead bodies before them. The vampires are all gone?

        CHARLIE: (upset) Oh my god?

        BROGAN: Come on, we should go?

        CHARLIE turns to him in shock.

        CHARLIE: But these people, some might be alive!

        BROGAN: They have blood on their lips Charlie! They weren't supposed to survive?

        CHARLIE looks around the club.

        CHARLIE: (under her breath) I'll kill you for this?

        With this BROGAN grabs hold of her and pulls her out of the club, running away from the murder scene.


        CUT TO ? NEW YORK
        UPSTAIRS ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

        SIN looks down on her mother leaving the club from the window upstairs. She smiles and the camera rotates to show BLACK at her side and the bloody mouthed vampires behind her; DELILAH and JESSE are at the front.

        SIN: Hm, well it would seem your efforts have gained my attention. Well done, Black.

        She looks to him and then looks back to the dead bodies on the dance floor below her. BLACK smiles at her and then joins her in looking at the scene.

          CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          SOFIA and DANTE are just leaving the Intelligence Unit and walking down the corridor.

          DANTE: I hope Charlie's ok doing this mission.

          SOFIA: I'm sure she will be, she's strong.

          DANTE: I know, it's just she's just been through so much. I'd hate for this to go wrong for her?it's the last thing she should have to deal with.

          SOFIA: She's got Xak?she always will.

          They're silent now and continue walking in silence.

          DANTE: Listen, about earlier?

          SOFIA: It's fine, let's just put it down to extreme excitement and momentary madness.

          DANTE looks down.

          DANTE: Ok?if you wanna put your head in the sand then fine, but I'm tired of waiting for a good thing to come along.

          SOFIA stops and looks at him.

          SOFIA: What do you want me to say Dante? It's not as if we left on great terms, and we've been back in each other's lives for what, a day?

          DANTE: I lost the chance to be a good man with you once Sofia?I won't do it again because of momentary madness.

          With this he walks away from her, in the direction of his room. She watches him leave, yearning slightly to follow him.


          CUT TO ? NEW YORK
          CONTAINERS ? EXT.DOCKS ? NIGHT

          CHARLIE and BROGAN ? beat and upset ? make their way back the container leading to the base.

          BROGAN: You ok?

          CHARLIE: No. I'm really not Ea?

          BROGAN: Anything I can do?

          CHARLIE: You can kill my daughter for me. That would be nice.

          BROGAN doesn't know whether to smile or not; he chooses not to.

          CHARLIE: I just don't get how something I loved for months can turn into something that causes so much pain and death. How is that possible?

          BROGAN: I don't know Charlie, but I wish I did. We will stop Sin, I promise?

          CHARLIE: ?I know. It's just a matter of how many people have to die first.

          She smiles weakly at him as they approach the container. BROGAN holds back slightly and looks at her regretfully.


          CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          MEDICAL WARD ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          TRAFFORD is about to turn the lights off in the Medical Ward when his eye casts back to the cabinet; the wooden box is still missing. He sighs confused and reaches for the light switch. As he turns around he sees ELISE standing in front of him, freaked out.

          TRAFFORD: (signing) Thank goodness, where have you been? I was worried.

          ELISE: (signing) I went to Ursula?to tell her about Cate.

          TRAFFORD looks annoyed.

          TRAFFORD: (signing) Elise, you shouldn't have. You don't know whether what you feel is true or not?

          ELISE: (signing) That doesn't matter right now. Cate is the last thing on my mind?

          She looks sad, and TRAFFORD looks at her confused.

          TRAFFORD: (signing) Why? What is it?

          ELISE: (signing) I?think Ursula's been keeping things from us all. Something bad?

          TRAFFORD looks even more confused.

          TRAFFORD: (signing) What do you mean?

          ELISE pulls a piece of paper out of her back pocket; it's the page from URSULA'S diary.

          ELISE: (signing) I know I shouldn't have taken it?but I found this in her diary.

          She looks guilty, but passes the page to her brother. He looks confused but takes it from her. He scans the page and looks extremely perplexed as to what it means.

          ELISE: (signing, earnestly) Do you see now? Do you believe in me this time?

          He looks up to her and looks lost for words. All his life he'd put his trust in the Elders?but look what happened to them?


          CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          CATE'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          The sound of someone shaking and breathing heavily can be heard. The camera pans along the floor and shows CATE hunched into a corner on the floor of her room. She is sweating and is focused on the wooden box open in front of her. She looks conflicted and extremely scared.

          CATE: I don't need it. I don't need it. I don't need it?

          She begins to cry.

          CATE: What have I done??


          CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          LOBBY ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          The front door opens and BROGAN and CHARLIE enter through it, still looking beat and upset.

          CONSTANCE (O/S): Ursula, they're back?

          The sound of CONSTANCE and URSULA hurrying towards them can be heard, and they soon appear on screen.

          URSULA: Well, how did it go?

          BROGAN: We failed?we didn't get there in time.

          URSULA: By Suspiria's guilt?how many?

          BROGAN: Nearly a hundred.

          CONSTANCE: And they'll all rise?

          BROGAN: Yes.

          CHARLIE, who has remained silent up until this point, looks up to Ursula.

          CHARLIE: I think I'm just going to find Xak, and go to bed, have you guys seen him?

          CONSTANCE and URSULA shake their heads.

          URSULA: No, we've barely seen him all day.

          BROGAN: Yeah me either; I had to do the detective stuff on my own.

          CHARLIE looks worried, and URSULA notices.

          URSULA: (reassuringly) You could ask Kaia, she's been locked in the Mystic Labs since late afternoon, she might have seen him before hand.

          CHARLIE: Great, that's the last thing I need.

          CONSTANCE: If she gives you any hassle, let me know.

          She smiles to CHARLIE, who reciprocates.

          CHARLIE: I'll be fine. Watching hundreds of people die because of my daughter is about as low as I can get today?

          No one says anything.

          CHARLIE: ?So, where's this Mystic Lab?

          URSULA: (pointing to a corridor) It's down that corridor.

          CHARLIE nods.

          CHARLIE: Ok.

          She begins walking towards the corridor before URSULA hurries after her.

          URSULA: Charlie?you are going to be ok aren't you?

          CHARLIE: Can I answer that in the morning?

          URSULA: (smiling) Of course you can.

          CHARLIE doesn't smile?she just begins walking towards the Mystic Lab, unaware of who is inside.


          CUT TO ? NEW YORK
          DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

          BLACK is walking amongst the corpses on the dance floor, some of them beginning to stir?

          BLACK: Rise?

          He smiles at one female vampire who looks around confused, unaware that she's vamped out.

          BLACK: Come my dear?I will show you the way. I'll show you the light.

          He holds out his hand, and the camera closes in on his hand as she reaches to take it.


          CUT TO ? ENGLAND
          DRINA'S BEDROOM ? INT.MANOR ? NIGHT

          The colours on the screen are blurred, as is the whole image, it looks static. DRINA is sat at her desk once again, writing in her diary under candle light. She looks nervous but covers it up with bravery.

          BLACK (O/S): Drina.

          She stops writing, and doesn't turn around. Over her shoulder, BLACK is stood by the window.

          DRINA: (calmly) Lord Chancellor. What brings you to my quarters at this hour?

          BLACK: Numerous reasons.

          DRINA: Such as...

          BLACK: Your death.

          DRINA: Oh? Who is threatening me now?

          BLACK: I am.

          She glares ahead and then spins around to stand facing him, a crucifix held in her hand shaking.

          DRINA: Leave! Monster! My maid saw you as the main course of those creatures in the village...she told me what you are, Vampire...

          BLACK laughs, and she holds her crucifix more firmly.

          BLACK: Is this the best you can do?

          DRINA: One scream from me and a dozen of my father's soldiers will flood this room impaling you with wood.

          BLACK looks contemplative at this.

          BLACK: You're just a girl Drina...you need protecting.

          DRINA: My country will do that for me...and it's not Drina anymore; I am a Princess, and I wish to be called that.

          DRINA wasn't just a girl...she was England's Princess. BLACK bows.

          BLACK: Of course Princess...Victoria.

          DRINA/PRINCESS VICTORIA: Now I shall grant you passage out of this place if you promise to never return, I owe you that much for aiding me with Conroy, but that is all.

          BLACK: And if I don't agree?

          PRINCESS VICTORIA: Then you will find yourself a pile of ashes on the floor and will be swept into the courtyard...

          BLACK: You're a powerful woman Princess. You will do great things...

          PRINCESS VICTORIA: I will, and had you been more cautious you could have been at my side; fate intervened it seems.

          BLACK: So it would...

          PRINCESS VICTORIA: (firmly) You are relieved of your duty, Lord Chancellor...effective immediately.

          BLACK continues to stare at her. She moves closer with the crucifix in her hand.

          PRINCESS VICTORIA: Leave! Now!

          He is repelled by the crucifix and snarls, jumping from her window. She walks to the window and looks out of it onto her country. BLACK has gone?


          CUT TO ? NEW YORK
          DANCE FLOOR ? INT.SIRENS ? NIGHT

          The female vampire takes BLACK'S hand as the colours return to normal. He brings her to her feet.

          BLACK: Delilah!

          DELILAH appears from off screen.

          DELILAH: Yes?

          BLACK: Take care of the young miss here. She needs assistance?take her to the others.

          DELILAH nods and takes the female vampire away. BLACK continues to move in front of him, to SIN'S throne, which she is sat in once again now it is in its rightful place.

          BLACK: (to SIN) A complete success, my queen.

          SIN: I am not your queen Black. Queens die and they are over thrown by their children?I shall not fall into such a fate of weakness.

          BLACK: Very well.

          SIN: Now, if you wish to impress me further?

          BLACK: I do.

          SIN: Good?find out who that man was who was aiding my father yesterday. If my father has hidden allies I wish to know about them. They've just written their own death certificate?

          She smirks as her army of vampires continue to rise around her. BLACK nods, and kneels in front of her. Whether she was a queen or not?she would finally be a queen to him; one that he could help and assist, unlike his first.


          CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          MYSTIC LAB ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          XAK and KAIA are sat on opposite sides of the room, not a word is said. XAK looks extremely frustrated.

          XAK: Kaia, I need to go. They're going to start wondering where I am?

          KAIA: (quietly) Precious Charlie's going to wonder you mean.

          XAK sighs.

          XAK: Yeah Charlie, and our friends.

          KAIA: (tearfully) They're not my friends?they all resent me for how I've acted.

          He looks at her sympathetically.

          XAK: They don't?I know them as well as you do, and I know they just want you to stop hurting.

          KAIA: Don't you think I want that? Don't you think I want to stop how I feel towards you, the way you did?

          He stands now and begins walking over to her, sorrow on his face, as she begins to cry.

          KAIA: ?I know it's not healthy.

          He's close to her now.

          XAK: Listen Kaia, it's ok. No one hates you, and if you need anything, you know where I am.

          KAIA: (embarrassed) Look you can go, this whole thing was stupid, stringing you along?

          She waves her hand and the door unlocks.


          CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          The camera shows CHARLIE walking down the corridor. The door unlocks to the Mystic Lab which catches her attention.


          CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          MYSTIC LAB ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          XAK kneels down in front of her.

          XAK: I don't have to; I can stay if you need me to.

          KAIA: What about the others?

          XAK: I've neglected your feelings for three years, I think they can handle this one time.

          KAIA looks to be in thought about something, she breathes softly.

          KAIA: (softly) Yeah?just one time?

          She lunges forwards and grabs his head and pulls him into a kiss. For a brief second he closes his eyes and then pulls away.

          XAK: (quietly) Kaia?no?

          KAIA looks at him and then her eye is distracted as she notices that CHARLIE is stood in the doorway. XAK notices KAIA is distracted and turns to see what she is looking at. His face drops and a shiver runs over his body seeing CHARLIE.

          She's horrified, a tear trickles from her eye and she breathes heavily as she bursts from the door into the corridor. XAK stands and hurries after her.

          XAK (O/S): Charlie! No wait!

          KAIA remains on the floor and bites her bottom lip, smiling.


          CUT TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          CORRIDOR ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          CHARLIE is storming down the corridor, hurriedly. XAK hurrying after her.

          XAK: (desperately) Charlie, please! It's not what you think?

          She turns around and points a finger at him, tears blurring her vision.

          CHARLIE: (angrily) You stay the hell away from me?

          She thrusts her hand towards him creating a barrier between him and her and she turns, walking away. All XAK can do is watch her walk away, frustrated and upset?


          FADE TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          VARIOUS IMAGES ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          The camera shows various images from around the headquarters. The lobby, the Observation Deck, the Intelligence Unit, the Medical Ward, the Meeting Room ? all empty.


          FADE TO ? ATLANTIC OCEAN
          XAK AND CHARLIE'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ - NIGHT

          CHARLIE is standing over the bed; a duffel bag on it. She is packing clothes and next to the bed is the blue folder URSULA gave her. XAK enters the room and looks at her meekly.

          XAK: (cautiously) What are you doing?

          She doesn't look up.

          CHARLIE: (quietly) Please don't make me use magic on you again. Just go?

          XAK: I can't do that. I can't let you think that what you saw was anything more than Kaia getting the wrong end of the stick.

          CHARLIE finally looks up now; her eyes look tired from crying and worn from the last month's events.

          CHARLIE: It's a bit late for that?don't you think?

          She continues to place clothes in the bag. He can't help but notice and he looks tearful.

          XAK: (repeating) What are you doing?

          CHARLIE: I'm going. I can't handle this anymore, not without help. Sin, Cate, Kaia?

          She looks to him briefly.

          CHARLIE: ?You. It's all too much for me to deal with.

          XAK looks choked up.

          XAK: Where will you go?

          CHARLIE stops packing now, and reaches for the blue folder. She picks it up and looks at it, sighing slightly.

          CHARLIE: I'm gonna find my mom. She left this here, in case I needed her. I know where she is?

          A tear falls from XAK'S eye.

          XAK: Will you come back?

          CHARLIE: I don't know?I don't know anything right now.

          She zips up the bag, and sniffs to hold back more tears.

          CHARLIE: Tell Cate I love her, and say goodbye to the others for me?

          She grabs the bag and the folder and moves towards the door, trying to avoid eye contact with him. He moves in her way.

          XAK: But I love you Charlie?

          She looks torn but knows she must follow her instinct.

          CHARLIE: Please don't stop me. Just let me go.

          XAK, crying, can only bring himself to move out of the way slightly. She looks at him for a moment and then leaves the room; the sound of her heels walking down the corridor is all that can be heard as?

          SONG: EVA CASSIDY ? TRUE COLOURS

          XAK sinks to the floor against the wall as he hears her footsteps getting further and further away, his heart breaking and his eyes bleeding tears. (The music below plays throughout)

          "You with the sad eyes
          Don't be discouraged

          CHARLIE walks down the corridor, staring ahead. Her head held high and her grip on the blue folder strong. (The music below plays throughout)

          KAIA is glued to the spot, re-living the kiss with her husband repeatedly in her mind. She puts her arm around herself feeling warm and stays on her own on the Mystic Lab floor. (The music below plays throughout)

          "But I see your true colours

          ELISE'S ROM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          ELISE is sat on her bed, flicking through her various sketches of URSULA. She just stares at the woman she had idolised for her life. How could that all be lies... (The music below plays throughout)

          DANTE AND LANCE'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          DANTE enters the room and LANCE looks over to him. For a moment they look at one another; LANCE dying to ask him why? DANTE dying to ask him if it hurt? But instead they just stare at one another. (The music below plays throughout)

          "Show me a smile then,
          And don't be unhappy, can't remember when
          I last saw you laughing

          She is still huddled into the corner, shivering, unsure of what to do. She stares at the wooden box and then reaches for what is inside. The camera closes in on her hand as she pulls it from the box; a syringe of jet black liquid, sparkling with the seduction of forgetting everything she needs to forget.

          Onyx Tonic.

          She pulls up her sleeve and looks away as she injects it into her forearm. A tear trickling down her face as she lets the potion take effect. Her muscles relax...she forgets... (The music below plays throughout)

          XAK'S ROOM ? INT.KALIPSO SYNDICATE HQ ? NIGHT

          XAK is curled up on the floor by the open door as BROGAN approaches. He looks confused as he looks at XAK crying, his head buried in his hands. He approaches and kneels on the floor to XAK'S eye level, and then turns to look inside. The drawers and the wardrobe are empty, and he knows immediately she's gone. He sighs and places a hand on XAK'S shoulder reassuringly. (The music below plays throughout)

          "Ohhhh
          I can't remember
          When I last saw you laugh

          CUT TO ? NEW YORK
          SIDEWALK ? EXT.CENTRAL TOWN ? NIGHT

          CHARLIE is walking down the sidewalk of the main city. She is not bothered if anyone recognizes her or not. She notices a taxi coming her way and puts her hand out for it to stop. It does. She opens the door and gets in the back. (The music below plays throughout)

          She closes the door.


          CUT TO ? NEW YORK
          STREETS ? INT.CAB ? NIGHT

          The CAB DRIVER turns around to look at her.

          CAB DRIVER: Where to miss?

          CHARLIE opens the folder and looks at what is inside. There's a passport, a credit card, cash, a letter, and an address. She sighs and looks up to the CAB DRIVER.

          CHARLIE: (quietly) The airport please.

          He nods and turns to begin driving. CHARLIE leans back in her seat and then opens the letter to read it. (The instrumental music plays throughout)


          CUT TO ? NEW YORK
          STREETS ? EXT.MAIN CITY ? NIGHT

          The cab drives and meanders through the many other cars on the streets. The first step of CHARLIE'S new day. (The music below plays throughout)

            TRIVIA AND RANDOM FACTS FOR "3.07 - BLACK"

            - So, what an episode. One of my favourites to write, I must say!

            - The songs changed sooo much in this episode! Originally the song in Sirens was going to be a Prodigy song, then Ladytron, but I finally settled on Moby because I love that song. The final song was also going to be a Biffy Clyro song?which I have re-scheduled for later in the season.

            - So Charlie's gone! Kaia kissed Xak! Dante kissed Sofia! Ursula's keeping secrets! Oh the drama?what did you think of it all?

            - One of my favourite scenes were Black's flashbacks. I loved writing them! I had planned to use Queen Victoria for a while. Originally Black was going to be a Watcher and Queen Victoria as his Slayer?but I thought that could mess with canon, and also it could have been rubbish! I like how it turned out though, did you?

            - So Cate's addicted to Onyx Tonic?will Trafford or anyone find out before she becomes too reliant on it to pro-long her grief?

            - I cut Echidna and Shelter from the episode as I didn't really know what to do with them?they shall be back though, do not fear!
