Sometimes when Angel evaluated his life, he'd divide it into two. Add a little definition.
The times he was evil, the times he wasn't. The times he ate human blood, the times he drank pigs blood. The times he wanted to kill Buffy, the times he wanted to marry Buffy.
There were lots of ways to look at 250 odd years, he'd discovered. Remembering the day Joyce asked him to leave town, he thought of another.
The times he avoided caffeine because it made him jittery, and the times he drank more coffee than blood because it made him jittery.
