There were only a few second left on the timer, 15?14?13. Dan desperately ripped off the aluminium casing, exposing the timer and three wires ? red, green and blue, 9?8?7. He held the wires despairingly, searching where they led to, 5?4?3. He then noticed they all led to a battery?2. He grabbed the battery?1. He ripped it out of the back, just as the timer read 0. Dan sighed with relief, dropping the mechanism on the floor. Thank God his alarm clock hadn't gone off. His parents would have killed him if they were woken up at 5 in the morning.
