Dana, the first set of image links go to your hotlinking image. EDIT: okay, I will copy/pase and see if I know anything...but I haven't watched s2 yet. Will get it next Tuesday!!

As for the Jensen promos, I think they are image campaign promos for s2. Obviously they aren't official promos 'cause they are taken on the set and you can see the crew and lights in the bg. But no s3 images have been released as of yet so I doubt they are for that. I would probably archive them in s2 until you find out otherwise.

I know how it is to place things in the right category; sometimes it really is a guessing game. I am always looking at wardrobe and bg and hair to figure out where some things go.

Yeah, figured the Jensen pics was from season 2 and unofficial promos so I filed them under that, but got a bit confused anyway

Especially since I'm not used to being the only one with promos for a show, especially not a popular one like SPN

Yeah, it's very much a guessing game. And it's even harder when you don't watch the show or have only seen it once, then it's even more confusing. I usually check the background and warddrobe as well, but sometimes they still end up messing with ones mind..

I'm also at a loss with these three pics of Jensen Ackles/Dean. Are they promos and if so, what season? I haven't seen these on ANY other SPN site and I can't even see it on Jensen which season they belong in so I can't find any help anywhere, except to ask you guys.. I'm even pondering if they're season 3 promos. Please take a look and solve the mystery

A-ha. They sure looked like s2 promos. It's harder to tell with guys which seasons stuff is from because they don't tend to look as different as the chicks do from year to year...

ExactlY Jenni, hense my complete confusion. And this isn't the first time with SPN. If they aren't marked it takes a buckload of time to figure out where they belong. makes one hate the gallery sometimes

The only one I can really tell a difference on is Nick Brendon. And David during Buffy and the start of Angel.. otherwise I'm lost

but should one list the Jensen/Jared pics as promos? They seem like promos but also like they're doing some interview as well..

I mark these kind of shots as promos myself. They are basically on the set photos and not episode stills. Basically, if there is a shot of an actor facing the camera, I file it under promos. But that's just me.

*g* Hey, you can easily tell the season from the state of Sam's/Jared's hair!

Very different, plus their clothing changes.

Totally worth moving in with PAAP since I love this shoot! So many lovely images of the boys together and laughing, you know, we rarely get that in the show, so I marvel in it when we get it at least from the actors!

I understand your reluctance to file them under 'Behind the scenes' since they are posing with the Impala similar like they did in the S2 Image Campaign from last year, but officially these are not Promos, so I think you shouldn't list them there. But that's just me.

Jenni, I usually put them under the behind the scenes folder or in the episode folder depending on how tired i am *lol*

Chris, these look very promo-esque, like the mondo shoot (s2 campaign) so I think they'll be moving in there.. except the ones where they're gooding off between headshots. Will make it easier for fans to find them and they won't get lost among the other episode stills and behind the scenes stuff

I think I must have a second look at this site, they seem to list pics I haven't found before, would be nice to have

Sometimes I put photoshoots into promo folders as well and make sure that the album name reflects that. After all, aren't they on-set photoshoots that happened to have been taken during a time when a particular ep is being filmed?

It's just a preference thing. And fan of the show will surely go browsing through all the albums anyway.

But I can think of two clear examples of where I put those kinds of pics into promos folders..Heroes and Veronica Mars. I just like to do it that way. I don't think there really is a wrong way. It's basically just fans filing this stuff anyway.

Yeah, I think winchesterfan.com has the biggest SN gallery available ever since Repro Images closed down. They even have some exclusive stuff, definitely worth checking out. There's talk about Repro Images (or Super eMedian) re-opening this month though, let's hope that's true since they had the biggest collection of episode stills and outtakes and lots of those are vanished from the net ever since they closed. /sigh

In the end I think you're right. These could be counted as such and therefor I'm putting them in there. Seems like the right place.

I think I know which shoots you're thinking of there. I can definitly agree on the shoots filed under promos if they occur during the season and basically looks like the characters, not the actors.

I might have gotten hold of most of their old pics (repro) via another forum. Filled up my season 1 episode stills last week with buckloads of pics which I recognise from RI, when it still existed. So at least PAAP can fill a bit of that gap, and with the help of winchesterfan.com perhaps the gap can be extinguished!

Even if there's talk I don't think they'll pull in all that much like they used to because now they'll seem very unstable and who knows how long they'll last this time around..

Most SN sites have the official episode stills but not that exclusive Gettys stuff, which had some awesome images and I could kick myself that I only stored about a third of them on my comuter.

I should know better by now than to rely on online gallerys

So check PAAP because I think you'll find most of them in there. I guess someone else managed to get all the pics before the site closed and then they were nice enough to share with me

LOL! No worries. PAAP is celebrating 2 years on the 13th and definitly staying online for AT LEAST another 2 years! the server gotta die 10000000 deaths before the gallery goes bye bye

I am somewhere in the future gonna back up the entire gallery in case things happens so hopefully the pics won't disappear if the gallery goes down.
