So? A few things to get started, I guess.

-Hoyt & Jessica? Still the cutest thing ever. Jim Parrack is such a cutie. Loved him telling off Maxine. Should be more good stuff coming from that!

-Oh, Daphne. We knew you were too good to be true. I hadn't quite pegged her as being the pig. I was still thinking that it was Carl. So what is she besides a shifter? Just another of Maryann's minions? Also, it seems Eggs has been to one of these strange orgy things before, only I guess he doesn't rmember because he is under her control or something? Like when their eyes go black...do they not remember what happens during that time?

-I liked the Sookie/Hugo stuff. It was quite out of the book.

-Meet the sun! It was mentioned! I read a spoiler last week so I knew it would happen but it was nice to have it mentioned on the show as well already/

-Not enough Eric! And he called Lorena? For what purpose? To drive a wedge between Sookie and Bill? Book Eric wouldn't do that bt the TB Eric is much more underhanded!

-ah, Terry! Todd Lowe is awesome!

-Poor LaFay. I wonder fi they want him selling V again so they can get a lead on pussylover69.

-I read some thoughts and a lot of people didn't seem to like the Bill/Lorena blood and sex scene. I thought it was good. And appropriate. I mean, they are vampires! Bloodlust! Blood and lust, come on y'all!

    Enough for now!

Haha, I thought it was almost too much... I was trying to eat!!!

LOVED the Hoyt/Jessica angle... have this feeling it's gonna end badly...

And the Lafayette/Terry scene broke my heart. That was awesome, though- Andy could be told off by anyone, but seems like he'll listen to Terry.

Speaking of which! That was creepy, the whole Andy/Eric switcharoo! Chris Bauer did some excellent dubbing because his voice and Alex's mouth synced up amazingly well!

I thought this episode was riveting! I was pretty bummed the last few episodes, i felt they were boring, BUT this one was right back on track!!

I felt like the bill/Lorena scene was appropriate for what it was... i mean it was a flashback to when she and bill were an item.. naturally she would think of some erotic sex including tons of blood... yea.. it was.. uncomfortable to watch.. but i felt like it was uncomfortable to watch because it felt so real! The actors did a fine job in that scene!

I LOVED when Hoyt told his mom Jessica was a vampire! It was incredible! I was woo-hooing at the tv lol!

Tisk tisk! What was jason thinking sleeping with Mrs. newlin????? I can't get over how gullible he is!! God wanted her to?? What an idiot! Does he know anything about Christianity??

And anther thing, why didn't sookie pick up on them getting kidnapped earlier? When she was able to flee.. I know i know.. thats exactly what happened in the book.. and it aggravated me then too! But how didnt she hear what they were going to do, OR know they knew her before it was to late??? Man i hope they stay true to the book!!!*Crosses fingers*

Oh MAN!! The orgy at the end was freeeeeeaaky! Tara and eggs.. *shivers* How do they not see that maryan is obviously more than she says she is? Especially with her being all moody, and BTW what does she own eggs or something? Why did he need her permission to go with tara? Weird!

I loved the scene with terry standing up for lafayette! i loved how he soothed him as well.. i always liked terry in the books!

I totally had daphane pegged as the pig an episode back.. then was she turned into the pig when her and sam were "out playing" i knew it was defiantly true! Poor sam.. i wish he could have someone good for him!!

And i dont.. i repeat DONT like how they are changing eric from the book! I dont like that he called lorena in! In fact i dont like how they are changing the story line there at all!! (book spoiler)......
        Spoiler:
Because in the book lorena sent bill to sookie and made him fall in love with him so that she could use sookie at her disposal, and eric hadnt a clue for awhile!!!

Well enough for know, ill post more later...

No, in the book it wasn't
          Spoiler:
Lorena that sent Bill to Sookie, it was Queen Sophie-Anne. Lorena just ordered Bill to leave Bon Temps and meet with her.

This is one of those epis I'm just not sure what to think about.

I find it kind of interesting the lengths Eric is going to to split Sookie and Bill up...that IS why he called Lorena, right?

Also interesting what a big deal the getting old thing was to TB Sookie...that doesn't really bother her in the book, right? I'm pretty sure I remember her being totally uninterested in being turned. I hope they don't make Sookie/Eric's relationship shallow...based on him tempting her with immortality and his lustfullness. That would be a big departure I wouldn't be interested in seeing!

Sex scene with Lorena and Bill...bleh. Yes, yes, I know, totally understandable and vampireish, but murder and sex mixed together graphically like that makes me think I'm watching hardcore nasty porn. And I just...didn't want to see that. Oh well. The orgies as usual were...orgy-like. Again, I could do without them, but they were in the book, so...(although I don't think the orgy that Sookie/Eric went to was QUITE like that!!)

Wow, Jason's blood really does rush in only one direction!!! My "feeling bad" for him is sort of bleeding away when he does stuff that is so obviously wrong. He wants to do good, half-heartedly, but he is so utterly ruled by his c***! Stupid stupid

I am getting excited with Sookie/Hugo being captured by FoTS...those scenes were fairly similar to the book, and that made me happy!! One funny little off topic remark I have to make, is that that church is amazing! I thought the sun shining in was very pretty. Would make it hard to see the pastor though.

More Lafayette! He is just petrified. I liked seeing Pam, even if only for a few moments. She is so dead-pan.

Wowee. I think this is my first comment on season 2 but I loooove it. Maryann is just one of the best characters on TV. And I had her pegged as being the minotaur... I mean, first the Fake-corsist is killed and then Sookie gets attacked? It had to be Maryann. And that orgy scene was NASTY. The one I always feel so bad for when I see the orgy scenes in Arlene... it really breaks my heart for her to be manipulated into sex after everything she went through with Rene.

I really enjoy how the different storylines are converging together. And by that I mean the fact that Sookie's been kidnapped by the Fellowship of the Sun. I got a kick out of watching Sookie in a scene with the Newlins, because as characters they basically belong to Jason. I'm looking forward to Jason realising that they kidnapped his sister.

Speaking of the Newlins, those two actors are amazing. Steve is a comic genius and Sarah puts such psychotic conviction into her scenes with Jason. They're so equally crazy in really different ways.

I had an extremely good laugh when it turned out Daphne was the pig. That'd be a bit of a turn-off if I were Sam, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

On that subject, I've never liked Sam very much, but I've had an active loathing of him this season. The fact that his shapeshifter secret is more important to him than Tara's safety bugs the hell out of me. If you know for a fact that Maryann is a supernatural nasty and all you do is sulk about it instead of trying to stop Tara from living with her, you're a bit of a d*ckhead. And that to a far lesser degree extends to Sookie, who upon hearing Maryann's deep-voiced demon-language thoughts decided she was too busy with her vampire boyfriend to even mention any concerns to Tara.

I concur! Steve McMillian is channeling Frank Whaley as his character from Career Opportunities. Even down to his hair! And I have said it before, but Anna Camp's accent just floors me. She has such a lovely singsong rhythm to her twang. And her smile is so bright and comforting. It all makes for a hell of a lot of creepiness!

Good points. I also wondered why Sookie didn't warn--if not Tara--then Sam. Why didn't she let someone know what she had heard? It's quite peculiar. Perhaps she assumed Maryann was a foreigner and therefore thought in Greek? Seems unlikely though. Sookie seemed weirded out. As for Sam...hmmm. I guess he doesn't know how to approach it. How would he disentangle Tara from Maryann when he knows that Maryann has it in for him? If he tried to get Tara away the consequences could be dire. I don't think it's so much him protecting his shapeshifting secret as it is him grasping the futility of intervention. At this point, I think he just doesn't know what to do. He did ask her to take a look at the people around after he also asked her what she was doing with Maryann in the first place. To be honest, I don't know what else he could as of this point in time. *shrugs*

I love Sookie but she is a very self-centred character. She definitely seemed weirded out but she seems to have just forgotten about it. I would be a little concerned for my friend. I was thinking though that pressuring Tara to move in with her was her way of trying to get Tara away from Maryann... so that's something but she hasn't really followed it up very well.

I don't see that so much. I definitely see that he feels action is futile, but I think that's more because Maryann is holding the threat of outing him over his head. But I suppose he's not even sure how much Tara knows about Maryann, so I suppose he might think she's already seen what he has and is still living with her.

I realise I didn't write anything about the vampires, but I am really enjoying Sookie and Bill this season, probably more than last season. I also think Eric is a lot more of a character... I was very interested by the fact that he called in Lorena to break up Bill and Sookie so he could get to Sookie. I think the problem with Alexander Skarsgard is that he plays up sexual tension too much, and as a result in the first season it seemed a lot more that he wanted to break up Sookie and Bill so he could have Bill... that's as much the writers' fault... I mean, putting Eric in Bill's bathtub? ("Nothing's as bad as having sex with a vampire. Or a dude. A vampire dude, that's like the creme de la creme of sin.")

I like the fact that Lorena's joined the party. Fun flashback, with the egregious amounts of blood and the silly french accents... not to mention hilariously placed pauses ("we can all f*ck... prohibition together."). I also loved Bill singing "Hard-Hearted Hannah". What a nice voice.

Yeah, but she's been out of town for like, two days. I think she did get a weird vibe off Maryann, and that was why she wanted Tara to move, but it would hardly be likely that you would expect your new roomie to come with two other roomies, right?

Yea i was wondering how sookie was going to feel when she comes home to Maryann, eggs, and her servant guy... what was tara thinking inviting the there of them to live with them??? I hope maybe tara remembers SOMETHING about the orgy and kicks maryann out!!

What finally replaced that image (Bill looked sort of like early Billy Joel crossed with Marvin Hamlisch - shudder) was True Blood's two climactic scenes this week. - Ken Tucker
Yes, the climactic scenes were fantastic and suspenseful and perfectly executed, but EEGAD! Was I seriously the only one woo'd by Bill's performance? Seriously! If that was Stephen Moyer singing (and I don't know if it was or not - anybody have confirmation?) then HOT DAMN! Seriously! I thought it was subtly sexy! The singing, the playing the piano...Gah!

And, I may be in the minority here, but I LOVED the Bill/Lorena flashbacks. I thought they were fantastic and really proved that Bill hasn't always been this perfect gentlman like he is with Sookie - that he was a dangerous, vicious beast, too.

I'm with you Heather. I liked the flashbacks too. I liked the stylized aesthetics of them but mostly....we see Bill as a vampire. He's been grating on my nerves with all his southern gentlemen-ess and how he is always being a hero for Sookie. FINALLY we see a bit of the monster that lurks beneath!
