  • General Season 3 spoilers

I know Bones doesn't return for another few months but already some things have been released about the new season.

First of all Stephen Nathan has signed another two year contract to be Hart Hanson's second-in-command. It was signed around the 20th of this month. Which I see as a great chance for Season 4, because it is signed to last two years. And also this season of bones will have 28 episodes over the usual 22 for a TV season. More Bones for us to enjoy!

Now this is just some general information released about how they want Season 3 to go and some of the things that will happen in the season. Was posted of Spoilerfix on 23 of June.

    Spoiler:

Creator Hart Hanson, exec producer Stephen Nathan reveal: For you Bones and Booth fans out there, I've got good news, and I've got bad news: On the up side, executive producer Stephen Nathan told me, "We love the romantic comedy, so that, of course, will not go away." However, and this is the bad part, when pressed about the romantic future of screwball-comedy supercouple Booth and Bones, creator Hart Hanson told the assembled crowd at the Emmy theater, "Something goes out of a series when those characters sleep together." Dr. Jack Hodgins and the lovely Angela Montenegro can look forward to some detective work next season. Stephen says, "They're going to be on a quest to find out who she's married to and find out whether that can be undone or not, and who he is, because Angela doesn't know who she married back in Fiji - she doesn't remember." Expect lots of family-tree climbing for our heroes next season. Hart tells me, "We have to deal with the season ender: Brennan's dad was arrested, so we have to do dad's trial. And this year we meet some of Booth's family - his high-achieving brother, his father who doesn't understand him and his sainted grandfather. At least that's what's in the plans now..." And Stephen promises, "We're going to exploit Ryan O'Neal (as Brennan's dad) as much as possible." Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan filled me in on the Bones crime docket for season three, and it sounds chillingly good. Hart says, "We'll go after the Gravedigger, and there is a serial killer - not the Gravedigger, but a new and different serial killer - who is slowly putting together a perfect skeleton, bone by bone, from 206 different people. So, we've got to catch him before he gets his 206 bones and completes his skeleton. It's great - it's in the season opener."

I, for one am so glad they aren't getting Booth and Brennan together, I agree that the thing between them would leave the show and they would probably find it very difficult, if not impossible to bring that back.

And I'm also really glad about this:

    Spoiler:
The gravedigger is back! I was hoping that we would find out more about him/her in season 2, and now they're back for season 3.

Dunno about everyone else, but for a thread that has spoilers in the title, I don't think we need spolier tags...but in case I'm out of line I'll keep them in for now.

Very excited about this! We had a lot of exposition about Brennan's family in Season 2 and it would be great to see Booth go through some family dramas. I want to see Brennan comfort him more!!

Also agree. I want to see them together desperately, but I do think it would ruin the show - maybe a drunken fling that goes badly, would satisfy my craze for them to sleep together, without spoiling the dynamic.

    Wishlist:-
    1. I want Goodman to come back - I want to see him sparring with Cam!
    2. Zach to get a girlfriend
    3. Sully to come back and stir things up again
    4. More Gordon Gordon and his fascinating insights

    I can hope...

I'm pleased too, it has been bugging me ever since watching that episode who it really is, so hopefully we will find out who it is.

I'm also excited about the 28 episodes, it seems to come and go so quickly, I get so bored Thursday evenings without my Bones.

Heres a summary of the first episode, The Widows Son In The Windshield

Brennan analyzing a skeleton with Clark Edison, a potential temporary replacement for Zack. Cam watches them from a distance. Clark really knows his stuff. Booth thinks that Brennan doesn't want to work with him anymore and Angela concurs saying that Brennan is not choosing a replacement for Zack so she has a reason to not go on the field. But eventually, Booth ad Brennan have to team up when three sk8r teens report that a skull came flying from the truck in front of them while they were driving. Angela and Hodgins hire private investigator Doug Doyley to find information about Angela's Fijian wedding. Angela can remember that her husband may be African, that he was tall and muscular and that his name may start with a B! Zack and Caroline Julian also appear.
Dr. Jack Hodgins and the lovely Angela Montenegro can look forward to some detective work next season. Stephen [Nathan] says, "They're going to be on a quest to find out who she's married to and find out whether that can be undone or not, and who he is, because Angela doesn't know who she married back in Fiji - she doesn't remember."

I think it sounds like a good episode, I'm actually pretty happy Zach is getting replaced, I don't really like his character much so thats not bothering me.

Angela not remembering who she married is a bit over the top. Funny but seriously?

I hope that Zach isn't permanently gone, I like his character although I think it would be interesting to see him act on that crush on Brennen they hinted at early on.
"All I ask is that... that you try to see me."
