What Do You Want to See Happen in S7?

There's a thread like this in the Supernatural section, and I thought we could use one over here.

Since this seems to most likely be the last season we'll get with Smallville, what would you like see happen? How do you want the series to end?

I for one am so not ready for this show to be over...I have really loved it, especially the last 2 seasons.

But what I'd like to see before the series ends is that Clark somehow becomes interested in reporting. Maybe in the series finale he gets hired on at the DP.

I'd like to see a really great ending to the Clana ship. I've been a fan of Clana, and I think the only way to see that ship end satisfactorily would be for Lana to die tragically. I mean that in a good way, I love Lana's character, but I think now that she knows his secret, there isn't anything that Clark would let stand between them, and the only way he'd let her go is if she died. Maybe that's what the writers have done allready, we'll have to see.

I'd like to see Clark be able to fly. We all know he can, and they've given us little teasing hints of it with the leaping across buildings, leaping up to stop a rocket, and even sort of flying up in the ice cave when he proposed to Lana, but I'd like to see actual flying happen before the series is over.

So..if this is the last season (and even if it isn't ) there are some things I want to see in season 7...

1) Clark starting to look like Clark Kent. Meaning, getting back to college (where he should be) and starting to get into journalism.
2) Clark stopping obsessing about Lana and concentrating on more important things, like the problems in the world and the fact that he has superpowers, that he can use for way more than saving Lana's ass (sorry, I'm bitter! )
3) Clark flying. I think he can already fly, but he has psychological issues with it. Because, the moment he willingly flies is the moment where he really embraces his destiny.
4) Clark starting his training.
5) Lex stopping to be pathetic. This is the guy who will be the most powerful man on earth, and will be President of the Us. He has to do his evil things, but he has to get away with them...and he must be loved by people. You don't get to be president if you don't have the favour of the masses. I don't want to see him betrayed by everyone anymore, and I don't want him to be pussy-whipped anymore....grow a pair, Lex!
6) A good storyline for Lex and his evil deeds...even if I'm afraid about what they will do to his character..they seem to have completely stopped trying to write him as complex and grey to make him rather one dimensional. Bah!
7) More Clex scenes.... the show needs more interections between Clark and lex. And NOT about a certain black-haired girl.
8) A minion for Lex...Clark has tons of friends/allies...Lex has noone, not even Lionel anymore. He needs someone loyal to him with who he can scheme, plot and speak about his plans/intentions (which were always omitted in season 6. No explanations about why he did what he did whatsoever... ) It would be cool if they brought Mercy in the show..but I doubt they'll do it.
9) More continuity.
10) No more retconnings.
11) Lois becoming a serious reporter, like she is supposed to be.
12) Chloe's powers stopping to suck. I hope that the stupid green tear is just the beginning, and that she has a cooler power that she still can't control.

oooh, I like your idea of Lex having a minion...in all of the Superman movies, Lex always has a minion...(mr. lu-thor...) that's a great idea!

I think I'd also like to see Lionel's true allegiances revealed...no more of the is he good or evil crap...I just want to know! LOL.

13)An end to the stupid Lionel is a good guy sillyness. I hate that storyline...suddenly, every horrible thing Lionel has done (including making life hell for his own son, and screwing him up forever) is forgotten and forgiven because...oh, he is on the side of the good guys, and wants to help Clark and be a father figure to him, while he was never for his own son. He is having thanksgiving dinner at the Kent's, while Lex in his best days (when he hadn't committed any crime yet) was never let in, because he was a Luthor (admittedly, it was mostly Jonathan who was against the Luthors, and now Jonathan is dead, but still..again, Lionel is being given a second chance, while that chance was never given to Lex in the first place). I want Lionel back to what he was, evil and conniving, the new Lionel makes me sick, and the Kents' behaviour towards him makes me sick.

Absolutely! I could never fathom how Martha could actually DATE him! Not that you have to pine over your dead spouse forever, but 1.)Lionel was very nearly responsible for her husband's death, 2.) Jonathan hated Lionel, and NEVER trusted him! and 3.) Lionel did everything in his power while Jonathan was alive to undermine the Kents, blackmail them at times, and use whatever information he had on them to his advantage. Is Martha just STUPID?

That's one aspect of the writing of Smallville that totally annoys me. It's like, because they're the only two actors over 50, that they must be paired up together. PLease! If they were that interested in having Martha move on, they should have brought in somebody new, not put her with her husband's mortal enemy!

Or show that Lionel has REALLY changed. Something I suspect we are supposed to believe, but that the show didn't convey at all... a man that treats his own son with that cruelty (many examples also in season 5 and 6) can't be good, and unless they give me reasonable explanations on the show, I'll fanwank that Lionel is scheming and playing everyone, including Martha and Clark, for his own interests.

I agree. Anyone who could have their own son committed just to have more power is not somebody who is playing with a full deck. I think Lionel is scheming the Kent's as well. This 'epiphany' he had regarding Jorel is all well and good, but he is STILL treating his own son deplorably...just look at Lex's wedding day!

Why did Jor-El pick Lionel as a host anyway? I am not 100% sure if I ever got that, Chloe would probably have been better, or maybe the return of Pete or someone.

Oh don't forget Lionel erased Lex's memory..Hmm I find it odd that they erased Lex's mind...After he discovers Clark's secret, and wasn't that the timeline when he actually wanted the truth about Clark?

Speaking of Lex, would he still keep Clark's secret if he found out about it now? Compared to the one in season 1 or even Season 3 when Lex discovers his secret before his mind is erased.

And what would I like to see more of in season 7? More Lois/Lionel, I noticed the two, especially Lois doesn't appear in that many episodes of season 6, what the hell is up with that?
[Spoiler] If Chloe truly dead, Lana not coming back, martha's leaving and Lex is in jail, Lionel and Lois will be the only people left next to Clark 9With an actual freedom), so they have to have those two on more now, I wish Martha had been in more as well as she had been in season 1-4
