Has anyone seen this? I loved it. They showed it in the UK and I hope they show the 2nd series. It's a great show, very quirky and great music.

Don't worry. I am also a fan!! I'm happy for its Emmy nominations and I think Lee Pace and Chi McBride and--actually--the whole crew are just amazing in this fun, swirly, vibrant series. I think it's pretty ad filmed so wonderfully. Awesome set decoration and colors. Fun, fast, 40's dialogue. A sweeping comedy with a dark slant. I recommend it fully and am anxiously awaiting the second season!

I loved how just utterly weird this show is. It's got an intoxicating mix of cheery and morbid. I just have to say, Chuck and I are running away and eloping in Vegas. We just haven't figured out when yet.

I think the comedy is great in it, the characters and settings are sweet and I really adore the music. I wish they'd release it. That's a really important part of the show for me.
This is a trailer for the new series which starts in October I think.

I really like this show, it was interesting and funny at the same time with the right level of dark humour in the mix. I love the colouring and the mixture of old and new things such as the clothing and technology, I also love the cast, mostly Lee Pace, Anna Friel and Kristin Chenowith, but the whole cast are great.
When I first saw the trailer I wasn't sure about it because to me it sounded like they were going to spend the entire series investigating Chuck's murder, but when it was over in the first episode I was intrigued as to how the show would work as a dynamic, but it was brilliant.
I think it's fairly obvious that this show was created by Bryan Fuller who also created Dead Like Me, I mean, the dark humour and also the random ways people die, such as the guy in the Taffy machine, it was brilliant.
What peeved me off about this show was that the station it was shown on here cut it so that we only got 8 episodes instead of the 9 just so they could show some crappy singing programme, it was ridiculous in my opinion, but I'm eagerly awaiting the second season which I heard is going to have more episodes, in the area of 22.sigpic

But I don't get what you mean that the characters have no connection, do you mean emotionally or in general in the show?sigpic

Emotionally. For example, the romance between Chuck and Ned, they try to make it sound like some doomed affair, like they were meant for each other all along but I don?t feel that. I just don?t feel any connection with the characters. If you ask me, I like the detective (don?t remember the name). Maybe it?s because of the actress that plays Chuck because I just don?t feel her character at all.
And I?ve seen five episodes already, but alas nothing. I felt nothing.

Well it's just not for you. No big. They are plenty of series that I don't like that other just love. And I don't get it. That's the beauty of it all...there's different things for different people out there.
And I like the narrator.

Yeah, I was just coming to post those. I have them up as well.
The internet is a strange place. I posted those pics on a big picture forum the other day (the place where I get a ton of my pics) and now they are all over the internet. Literally an hour after I posted them I saw them pop up at a few of my other haunts where I collect pics!

I absolutely adore this show. Just bought the first season DVD, which I'll dutifully need to watch in preparation for the premiere on 10/1!
In my opinion, a show that is cleverly written, acted, filmed, directed, etc. is such a breath of fresh air in the current climate of droll material we have out there. Pushing Daisies was my favorite new show of last year and I hope it sticks around for a long time.
