I don't think it's been confirmed yet when DT is leaving. I think I read somewhere that said he'd be in the three 2009 specials though.

Best news ever! I far prefer Moffat. There is the anxiety that he'll write less if he's showrunning... but he's definitely someone I trust to take Who to whole new levels of great. Hurrah!

Now all I need is to convince him that Tamsin Greig should be after Tennant...

I didn't know what eps he'd written until I read this article, and everyone of them is on my favourite list. This is very good news! It seems he manages to interweave real human drama with the fantasy better than some of the other writers. (For example last weeks Agatha Christie story was great, but the fantasy element seemed forced into it almost like a after thought)
