Lost Season 4 Finale- Let's talk (SPOILERS of course)

Well, I went to Tv.com and read posts about the first of 3 episodes of the Lost season finale and I got to say, it sounds all very exciting. So let's talk shall we, Australia will watch the first next Thursday but oh well, let's talk anyway. And questions around my head.


So the Oceanic 6 are Sayid, Hurley, Kate, Jack, Sun....Um...Who is the sixth again? Aaron I suppose?

What happens to Claire? Does she stay on the Island or die? I hear Jack finds out Claire is his sister so that makes Jack Aaron's Uncle. And is Jack's father Jacob or do they just look alike? (has to be because Claire said Dad when she ran off).

HGere's what I think of the stuff with Jack/Kate. I think the promise Kate mentioned, was that Sawyer could have been dying and he gave Aaron to Kate thinking Claire is dead, and asks her to promise him to look after and raise Aaron, so Kate did and evatually started calling him her son.

Can someone please tell me what's with the Hurley/Sun scene in Sun's flashfoward in front of Jin's grave, that confused me.

I havent heard too Much about the season finale But I cant wait to see what Happens in the Finale.

I am not sure of Aaron should be counted as an sixth survivor, yeah he is a survivor but he was born on the Island, so wouldn't that make him kinda like Alex or anyone who was born on the island? Not techinally an other but not exactly on Oceanic 06, but I guess being in Claire's belly counts. Plus he was convied on mainland, Sun's baby was made on the island yet she has her in Korea.

He does count. He is tallied in with the O6 because it was a media nickname given to those survivors. IN part one of the finale, the Oceanic liaison even says so...they picked it because it's "catchy." It doesn't really have to do with whether or not Aaron was technically on the plane because he wasn't born yet. So, it's just a media title applied to them.

Oh my....I just watched this entire season in two days, thanks to the geniuses at abc who kept the entire series online....I must say, this is my absolute favorite season to date! I love seeing so many questions answered.

I just read the ep description for the finale, and it says 'as the fourth season comes to a close'. It doesn't say as the series comes to a close. So is that to say that it has been picked up for a 5th season? Because I was under the impression that this was the last season.

What was up with Claire? I think that is the one of the strangest (and that's saying something with this show) things I've seen.....why would she just abandon her baby like that and act so nonchalant about it in the cabin? Is she dead too? Because that was totally strange. I hope they don't leave that tidbit undone, because it is too strange.

I am so sad for Sun that Jin somehow manages to get killed.....it is just breaking my heart.

The other point that's breaking my heart is Sawyer! He is being all noble and heroic, and damn it, Kate is such a bitch to want Jack instead! I think the promise she made him has something to do with his kid, but of course that's just my speculation.

Anywho, I'm excited for this finale, and after watching the entire season in two days, am a bit pissed that the finale is not on tomorrow night, but next week....

Oh no, no. The series will last for six seasons. Each one comprised of 17 episodes. So the show will be all done in 2010. The creators worked hard to secure an end date so that they could tell the story instead of stalling. Which is why this 4th season has been so good and fast-paced and--gasp!--answering questions!

What was up with Claire? Don't know! Although, her being dead theory is a popular one. And for me, it would explain why Miles was looking at her so strangely before she wandered off. In any case, interesting twist!

Well, we don't actually know if he is dead. It can really go either way and I have good arguments for both sides. One line of dialogue may suggest he is whereas another doesn't.

That's the general consensus. It would be my speculation as well.

On a Sawyer sidenote, it's crazy that he hasn't had his own episode since early season three! The fourth or fifth ep. That's a loooong time. ALthough I suppose 3x19 "The Brig" was Sawyer heavy...but it was more of a Locke ep, imo. /ramble

omg, I know. Seriously, I this show like crazy. Like crazy, I say! I obsess over it and listen to about 10 podcasts about it. I love love love it! It's so interesting and layered and full of all these fascinating little, tiny things that are just embedded in it...things you have to really, really look for. Only the crazy hardcore fans ever pick up on that stuff.

So glad you are enjoying it! I don't discuss it much on BF because there isn't a big fanbase for it here and I have my lovely podcasts to keep me company.

I can't believe Australia has to wait two weeks before we see the finale! It's not like I am already waiting, althought when Lost airs, it will air the weekend right before my birthday (June 10th).

Maybe Claire stayed in that cabin because how can she be dead? So maybe the 6 left the Island without knowing whateve happened to Claire, I am still having a hard time that there were only 6 survivours out of 48 including strangers. Plus Ben and Juliet makes off the Island aleast I am sure Ben mentions it.

And yeah there's seasons left, although do you think they will be saved in the finale and then the next two seasons will be about them adjusting?. What else can they do with that Island, the boat may get destroyed but they still have the helicopter, in the preview we saw Sun, Hurley, Kate Aaron and Jack, Sayid in the helicopter and it defiently wasn't the plan because you could see the sky.

I think Claire saw what she has to do, she's seen the big picture. What that picture is, I've got no clue, but I think she's staying in the cabin, to keep her safe until she's needed to do her part. I'm sure she knows that Aaron will be okay and that Kate will be the one raising him.

As for Sun and Jin, personally, I think Sun believes that Jin IS dead, but really, he's not. Which would be very interesting, especially if/when they go back, and he's alive and well. It'd be an amazing reunion.

That has been my thought as well.

1. Well, the theory is that she died in that explosion back in New Otherton. So she could be dead; we just have no way of knowing for sure. To be honest, I haven't yet decided what I think is up with Claire yet. I need to se more first.

2. No, there has been no mention of Juliet being off the island. She may very well be...but we haven't been shown it and no one has said so so far. The only ones we know for sure are the O6 and Ben.

3. I think there is plenty of island action left. There's tons we don't yet know about it. Personally, I think the next season we will be seeing the O6 off island, trying to get back or working towards their realizations they have ot get back. But I also think that we will be seeing some of the other survivors back on the island.

Of course, the finale may completely change my mind! I'm sure they'll be plenty of shockers for us all to obsess over until next year!

See, my speculation is that Claire died in that explosion as well...I think that's why Miles was always so interested in her in the jungle....him being the ghost guy or whatever....I think she left when she actually realized she was dead.

Hmm, not a bad theory, I had wondered how on earth Claire survived it. Although it's usually one person who sees a dead person, this time Hurley, Locke, Sawyer and Miles all saw her, Aaron was even held by her so it does leave a interesting question.

JL- I hope that happens, I don't know what they will dop with the flashbacks and forwards but it would be good if they got off the island then needed to go back. Captured? I'm not sure that is the case yet. I guess we will see. I think the Others are more concerned about the freighter mercenaries and are just grabbing Kate and Sayid because they ran across them. I don't know though. Can't wait for Thursday, omgz.

Actually, she isn't allowed to leave the state for ten years. At least that's the way it sounds to me. Form the transcript: "Time served plus ten year's probation in agreement that she does not leave the state."

And in her flashback, I am guessing he is around two since he was originally credited as "2 year old Aaron." I heard that in one of the podcasts because people were wondering about his specific age. So I think is probably about 2 1/2.

Also, I believe Hurley is there voluntarily. He did get in trouble with the cops a bit. But ti wasn't anything too serious. He wanted to be put in the institution. I would think he could just sign himself out. But I don't know for sure.

Nobody is talking about the finale?

I'm wondering about the supposedly amazing kiss (it's trendy to advert for such kisses now, isn't it?) on the finale. I guess it can only be the Kate/Sawyer one? Was it that great, I was not really convinced here.

Overally, I loved it but more due to the perspective it gives for futur seasons than the episode itself. I think that the two last seasons will be exciting and I can't wait to see them go back on the island after the time gap they left ! grrr so entertaining ! Lost is definitely one of the most complex and interesting show on tv at the moment !

Lost is the bestest. I am actually rewatching it now...from the Pilot. I am on pt2 right now. I haven't watched s1 in a few years now and I can't believe how new it feels. It's so cool to watch how it all began.

As for the kiss...I think it was Des/Penny because I think most people (according to all the feedback and comments from the various podcasts I listen to) weren't expecting as a reunion so soon. Although I kind of figured it would be her boat that would be the rescue.

I loved the finale. I loved how they tied in Ben's arrival in Tunisia with his moving the island. So very cool.

I am thinking we might be seeing more of Walt in the coming seasons, as it seems he may now be a bigger part of the story, with everyone having to return and all.

I have tons of thoughts but too many to go into now.

I'm glad that we got a glimpse at the timeline and that the flash forwards that occurred in the finale were after the flash forwards of the previous eps with

I'm glad they're on the outs at the point where they left off. It'll be all the more juicier when they all return to the island with her having been with both Jack & Sawyer.

Well, Sawyer was never really presumed dead. He came right up from the water.

I think the Oceanic Six and Friends will return in the Season 5 finale and Season 6 will be them on the island after they've returned and possibly how to get back off of the island.
