Wow....just wow! Can you say HOLY SH*T?!

I certainly didn't see that one coming.....

Of course it's not quite as exciting since we all know he's not going to die, but still! I thought he'd shoot her first, to see him get shot.....and then to see Bones shoot that freak in the neck (DIE!), and the way she was desperately pleading with Booth.....oh man! (Though I was kind of half hoping she'd kiss him, but that's just me and my shipper fantasies! ) It was so funny and cute though, with Brennan singing and the way Booth was looking and smiling at her (awwww!), and then for that to happen.....I had forgotten someone was supposedly going to get it in this epp! Glad I did, made the surprise all the more sudden and unexpected......

And how freaking awesome does the season finale look?! It's about time we find out who Gormagon is, I'm dying to find out.....and it looks quite action-packed! Is it next Monday yet?

Yeah, I was shocked. It was very unsuspected even though I knew that crazy chick wasn't done with him. I guess I just didn't expect her to run in all wielding a gun.

As for the last scene....yes! Booth looked sooo utterly hilarious as he watched Brennan sing. His smile was huge! I was very amused.

I also cannot wait for the finale. I am dying to know the big reveal. I just hope they don't make it Sweets because 1)I've grown rather fond of him and 2)adding him to the main credits as a mislead feels cheap to me! But other than what's-his-name head Jeffersonian dude....I don't really know of any other viable suspects. Unless I am forgetting someone. It6 just can't be any of the core characters!

Yeah, it's funny because when my friend I was watching with acted worried I said, "Booth can handle himself! He can always shoot her...." How ironic and false my words turned out to be!

And yeah, I'm wondering too--because I did think it was Sweets initially (as did many people), but then people insisted that the glimpse of Gormogan we saw wasn't Sweets, and by now I feel we know him well enough that it's clearly not him--and it can't be a core member....so that has to not be true that it's one of them....

And lol, I loved it when Zack broke out into song and everyone came and gawked! Who would have ever expected such musicality from the two coldest/most rational squints of the squad?

"My mother said they were just jealous of my musical talent..."

Hey, true love is settled between Booth and Brennan, IMO -- he stood up to take a bullet for her. You don't just do that on principle, really, especially for someone who's instinct and training would be more likely telling him to go for his gun and outdraw her, take her down. No, he was more worried about Bones. And she totally wants him now

I loved her singing (not better than Cyndi Lauper, though, say sorry) and seeing Bones get funky. Also loved Angela and Cam being impressed by Zack's singing.

It might feel obvious, but I'm leaning toward Sweets as Gormagon, just because I think JFD could do sociopath really well.

Hell, he's always been willing to take a bullet for her... And I think Crazy!Pam caught him unprepared before he could reach for his trusty gun....but yeah, it was sweet how Brennan reacted, and that he was shot b/c he was looking at Brennan "that way"....

It might feel obvious, but I'm leaning toward Sweets as Gormagon, just because I think JFD could do sociopath really well.
See, I don't think it can be Sweets anymore, now that we know him better, and know that he is just a really good profiler (so wasn't necessarily giving all those accurate details of Gormagon based on personal experience), and that he's just a sweet nerd at heart--like with April, and the whole "I think he likes us!" deal last week....plus the people who paid close attention to the flash of Gormagon we saw in "The Knight in the Grid" said it couldn't have been Sweets based on what they saw.....

If it is him I'll be disappointed!

Oh yeah...the Zack musical interlude was very nice. I really quite like Zack a lot. He's so awkward and logical. He has a definite Brennan edge to him, in that e doesn't understand sarcasm and pop culture very well. But I'm kinda worried about him. I would be sad to see him be gone from the show!

And yes....I still veer toward Sweets more than anyone else but that's just because we don't know anyone else outside our core cast to suspect. But it's someone we know, right? So it doesn't leave much room for speculation. But again, I don't want it to be Sweets because adding him to the credits as a mislead is just so cheap! That, and I have come to rather like him! /needless repeating of what I typed earlier but it felt like it had to be written again

Oh, just because of the trailer for next week.
                Spoiler:
Explosion in the lab. Makes me think someone might get hurt.

Coupled with that bone dude he we last saw in "The Verdict in the Story" who could take Zack's place should anything happen. We saw him earlier in the season too working at the Smithsonian while Zack was gone. So they have a replacement for him. It just made me wonder if we saw him again in TVitS if it was so that we would be re-introduced to him.

I don't know anything...just speculating because of little things that have happened along the way.

The fact that you've gotten to know Sweets, that you like him, that he's been shown to be very skilled psychologically and have all this insight into the heroes... that's, generally speaking, *why* it's likely to be him.

Jenni Lou, I just found this email...

                  "Hey Bones fans,

I agree that putting people in the credits as a misdirection is pretty cheap.

                  Love,

                  Amber Benson"

I don't really want Sweets to be evil, it just wouldn't surprise me. I like JFD, and I love the interplay between the three of them.

Oh okay, so it's not some spoiler you know.....I don't know though, I remember the trailer for the episode last season when Epps escaped and they also had an explosion and a "No, Zack, NO!", and it was just to trick you.....I'm hoping it's the same this time! I think it'd be a gratuitous and stupid move to kill off any of the core characters for shock value, they are all equally integral to the team and well-loved, and the show isn't the same without any of them.....even Cam now!

Actually, Amber Benson appeared in the credits just once... 6.19 "Seeing Red"

Just saying that John Francis Daly being added to the credits doesn't help him at all from not being Gormagon.

Really? I never noticed that....so I wonder why Joss managed that but not the Jessie thing? I always thought it was absurd she wasn't in the credits, she had just as big a role as Seth Green did....

That's my point. And it will piss me off if he because it so so cheap! argh!

The Amber Benson credit actually made me pretty happy. She does die in the episode but it didn't feel like a mislead to me. It felt like it was the last time they would be able to toss her in the credits...and so they did. To honor her character and the actress for being a major character for more than two seasons. I don't think it was doine to throw anyone off a trail; there was no trail. Her murder came out fo the blue in the very last scene.

Of course you know all this and your point is taken. I was just giving my thoughts on that particular instance.

I too like JFD. The way he has been integrated into the work of the characters has been very nicely done. I like that he is so young and that he gives lots of fodder for B&B to poke fun at him with. It's just been a cool relationship to watch and it has sweetness (pardon the pun!) and comedy. He's been a great addition so...yeah, the prospect of him being a serial killing cannibal isn't very appealing to me.

It did honor Amber Benson, no doubt, in fact, that's one of my favorite credit sequences in the series. But, as Sherrilina alluded to, it *was* in there as a misdirect -- Joss had wanted to do the same thing with Eric Balfour as Jesse in the first episode but didn't have the money for two cuts of the credits. By Season 6, he had the cash and did it with Tara.

I was just agreeing by way of illustrative example, Jenni

I agree, I didn't think much of him at first (he was only okay, and the whole time I was thinking, "Bring back Stephen Fry!"), but I do like him now, he's so adorable.....I feel like he has been better integrated than Cam was at first, but maybe that's intentional (it was part of Cam's storyline to initially be an outsider and be a source of tension for B/B.....though I so hated her then!).....I still haven't gotten used to him being in the credits though! it surprises me every time!

Okay, this surely was a holy shit episode.

IMO, it was a pretty great episode. I loved some little comedy, like Booth's allergies. And I love how people just called her "Fat Pam" by instinct. I liked all the singing happening, and I was laughing so hard when Zack burst into song! ROFL! Plus, Bones getting her groove on? Priceless stuff, and Emily Deschanel has a fantastic voice. Loved it. And yes, King, I like it better than Cyndi Lauper And that end! Yes, we know that Booth can't die, but it was an amazing and intense scene. I loved how Bones quickly grabbed Booth's gun and shot Pam dead Yes, they're in love. Booth's little "dancing" during "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was great, and so funny The killer was, IMO, a surprise. I was scared this would be an American Idiot episode, but it turned out to be much more. A fantastic "holy shit!" episode that deserves all the recognition it gets.

About Gormagon, who the hell could it be? In interviews..... (no real spoilers, just speculation)

                                Spoiler:
JFD and Hart Hanson both laughed when someone suggested Sweets as the killer. That leads me to believe that we're way off.

However, I agree that homicidal!Sweets would be truly amazing. It would be Beaver all over again

Yeah, I know about Eric Balfour. But I just don't see how it was a misdirect. :/ It all in the perception I guess. *shrugs*

It did annoy me that in the trailer for next week the announcer asks if Booth will live. Um, yeah! Of course he will!
The killer was, IMO, a surprise.

I know! IMO, the trailer for the finale wasn't very well made *shrugs* Bet it'll be fantastic, anyways.

The thing that shocked me the most about the killer is why he killed him! That guy's a sociopath. "It was quiet. It was finally quiet." I got shivers.

And that final scene I know I already said I loved it, but I've been rewatching it on my DVR and now on FOX's website. That one scene over....and over....and over.... I LOVE IT.
