Okay I was on MSN or some other news site and I saw an article about themes from televison shows and can really help make a show classic so I thought I would semi steal the idea and amke a tread about our favorite t.v. themes.
I'll start
With Lyrics: Growing Pains... cheesefest, just like the show
gosh I am blanking right now on this category
Instrumental: Obviously Buffy and Angel themes are up there. I use to stand in my living room a jump around to the Buffy theme
( i'm sure you wanted to know that) and it is what I walked into at my reception when I got married.) I think it gives a kick butt attitude which I think overall refelcted Buffy. Yes in the latter seasons Buffy was more depressing (as was the character) but in the end, she still always kicked butt.
Angel's theme is so more slow and has a sadness about it which gives the correct feel of the show. I love how much they contrast each other.
Or if you would like to categorize by decade
80's
Night Rider- slick, just like the car
Beauty and the Beast- I loved this show and the theme was so romantic just like the show was.
90's
Xena and Hercules- you could feel the tongue in cheek through the music
West Wing- amazing theme; it was dramatic, strong, just like the show and the president and staff were.
Have fun!
