Okay, I think everyone remembers this show. I love it. One of my favorites. About a year ago, I got the Rambaldi Box Collection, and it's so. damn. amazing I was behind cause I stopped for a few months after Season 3, but Season 4 was just superb. Finished it tonight, after watching 4.16-4.22 straight. It was amazing I think I like Season 2 more, just for more Irina and evil!Sloane, but Season 4 is just...superb! My favorites are "Echoes", "Tuesday", "Another Mister Sloane", "In Dreams", "Search and Rescue", and especially "Before The Flood". So many amazing plots interwoven, Vaughn's dad, Sloane's Jacqueline, Sloane's obsession, Elana/Sophia, Katya, Irina being back, Jack's illness and mental illness, the Sloane Clone, the hit on Sydney, Nadia and Weiss, etc., etc.! Nadia is quickly becoming a favorite character, and Nadia/Weiss are so amazing together.

"She asked me if you were tall, dark, and handsome. I told her you were tall."

Also, "Before The Flood" now ranks in my top 3 of the series with "Phase One" and "The Telling"! It was so epic, and Irina killed her own sister! I was so scared for Nadia! She almost died twice! I thought when she was injected with the virus, she was definitely dead. Because of the "Passanger vs. Chosen One" thing, I thought she wouldn't live. Thank god she lived Plus, that season cliffhanger? I. NEED. TO. SEE. MORE. "For starters, my name's not Michael Vaughn." And boom. I can't wait to see Season 5 for Peyton and for the revelations and the epic finale. Truly exciting. I'll update when I get some of the Season 5 watch done

Season two is my overall favorite, for sure. But I will admit season four is actually pretty damn good. I actually stopped watching about a third of the way through it because it bored me t no end. But I gave it a try when the dvds came out and it was much better. In retrospect, I can blame Lost s1 for my boredom with Alias s4 because Alias followed Lost when it aired and after watching Lost...well nothing can follow that show for me!!! But yeah, s2 is my fave. Phase One is also one of my fave eps, along with Double Agent. From s4 though, I think Tuesday is my fave ep because it is so insanely intense and Marshall is fantastic in it!!!

OMG I absolutely love Alias!!!! I don't know any of the episodes names but I can remember adoring them all. Even the boring ones. It's the only show I have ever watched where I was literally shaking of excitement and adrenaline because of the season finale. That's not even an exageration! I'm not sure which finale it was so I'll explain it in spoilers since Ben hasn't seen them all yet.

      Spoiler:
It was when Sydney woke up after two years in the alley way and has no idea what happened in the past two years! OMFG I was soooooooooooo f-ing excited for the season to come. Just thinking about it makes me excited. It was just fabulous.

Heather got me hooked on Alias... after she got me hooked on Charmed. I watched during season 5, while renting season 1 (season 2 and 3 were incomplete so I kinda gave up). Then the bigboxset came out and I bought and I kinda watched it NONSTOP for like a month.
Season 2 is my favorite season. It just amazed me. Season 3... I gotta say was a bit stinker. Lauren Reed's character kinda got the other end of the stick... or however that goes.
My all time favorite scene is the final confontation between Sydney and Francie in season 2. GOD! Was that just... Season 2 just had me all excited and in love.

Season 3 made me kinda take a break. But i'm glad I went back into season 4, both 4 and 5 kinda made me relove the series.

The highlight of season 5 was of course Amy Acker as Kelly Peyton. When she had that rocketlauncher... God, I was so upset when the series got canned, I was surprised and I blame ABC for the constant pulling around of season 5 and its really their own fault the ratings went down...

I would love to see an Alias movie... But the finale was a great end.

Yeah, the finale was good. I absolutely loved Amy Acker in season five. She really is a badass. Darn, I need to watch the seasons again.
I?m actually thinking of buying the seasons.

Yeah, I think getting canned was ABC's fault. I mean, they put it on at Sundays! Nobody watches TV on Sunday....well, mostly comedies on Sundays.

Yeah, Holy, that was Season 2's finale, "The Telling", one of my favorite finales. That had me shaking, but I thought out of all three seasons, the hugest cliffhanger was the one I just watched: "For starters, my name's not Michael Vaughn." And then a car smashes into them!!!!

Jenni, what're your thoughts on Season 5? Like, without spoilers I can't wait for it, especially for Peyton, because Amy Acker? Badass? Hell yeah! I loved "Tuesday", too! The mix between intense stuff and the hilarious comedy when Marshall was trying to talk to the bad guy, and he suddenly shoots him by accident ROFL!

That was only season 2???!!!! Are you sure? I thought there were a bunch of seasons before that finale. Huh, well that's interesting.

Yep, the Season 1 cliffhanger was Irina Derevko, Sydney's mom, coming out from the shadows and confronting a tied up Sydney. Season 2 was her fight with Francie!double, and then she woke up in Japan

See I remember all of those things I just always thought that those events took a lot longer than they apparently did! Although they kept bringing stupid Irina back every season, it's hard to differentiate between them all. Plus it was like the same story every season. Every season's always about Rambaldi.

 STUPID Irina!? She's the bestest character ever! I loved her as a main character in Season 2, and I loved her in "Before The Flood" when she just knew her sister and blew her brains out No, not every season is only about Rambaldi. IMO, the breakdown, so far, is Season 1: Whatever That Guys Name Is (they were trying to find him, and thought he was the boss), Season 2: Sloane's Hunt For Rambaldi, Season 3: The Covenant, Season 4: Elana's Hunt For Rambaldi. There's always a Rambaldi undertone, but the storylines are never the same.

Overall, it's good. It kind of wavers for awhile but it's still alright. It starts picking up a lot more toward the end. It's just a different kind of set up for a season because there are so many new characters. And Syd's role sort of changes in the midst of all of that. NOt my fave season but the series finale is excellent, imo!!!

She is not the best character ever! I definitely liked the other characters a lot more. As for the Rambaldi undertone, that's what I didn't like. It's like who cares about this Rambaldi stuff. Once it looked like they were done with it they made another season about it again. I don't know, it wasn't my cup of tea.

On a sidenote, my math teacher in 7th grade looked exactly like Jennifer Garner and when I told her that, she's like "Sydney Bristow, secret agent." and she had her hands held like a gun. It was pretty damn funny. Plus it was nice to know that my favorite teacher watched the same show's I did.

                          Oh. My. ****ing. God.

I just watched "Prophet Five", season premiere of the fifth season. Did they really just kill Vaughn? For some reason, this season does not look good. The whole setup of Prophet Five seems weird and three new characters as mains, and dead!Vaughn, coma!Nadia, and notmain!Weiss!? Insane. Insane.

I still loved "Prophet Five" because of the Vaughn/Syd scene about Isabel and then his death and the funeral was beautifully done. But, it just depresses me Vaughn, while a little boring, should not have died. And even though I want him to be alive, if they pull out the cloning stuff again, I'll be pissed, cause that's pretty cheap. However, I don't want Vaughn dead. And they said there was no cure for Nadia's illness. I want there to be a cure, but that would also be cheap! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WANT!

Although I'm not a regular poster here, I simply couldn't resist an Alias thread!

BlasterBoy - based on your first post, I would suggest you watch Season Five with a heavy heart because you're in for a lot of heartache.

Irina Derevko is one of the most fabulous characters I've ever seen on television and Season Two is one of my favourite seasons mostly because of her. I liked the magnificent ensemble of Season Two, what with her, Sark and everyone else on the show. It was awesome. Season Three wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't as good as Season Three, in my opinion. I wish they hadn't killed off Lauren's character because I, for one, would have loved to have her on the show permanently. That scene in Season Four where Sark and Vaughn go to see Lauren's body still gives me the chills! It was a fabulous idea to bring back Melissa George for that one scene and I'm glad the actress agreed to do an uncredited cameo.

As for Peyton in Season Five - Amy Acker was simply fabulous. The rocket launcher scene and many others reminded me of Illyria. I wish Season Five had been longer and we'd gotten to see more of her. It was a great idea to make her a regular on the show. I also loved Tom and Rachel given the amount of screen time they had. I'm sure they would have gone on to become fan-favorites had they been given more time. The series finale and the Tom-and-Rachel-on-the-phone scene was heart-breaking, to say the least. Maybe I just invest too much of myself in these characters, lol.

Alias is definitely one of my all-time favorite shows.

Yes, I will agree. Season five suffers because of a massive cast shake-up. But as you begin to discover the new characters, the season definitely picks up and becomes brighter. They take a little getting used to just because we had become so accustomed to all the other characters, but they do grow on you. Tom has a neat backstory and Rachel is kind of fun to watch because she is an outsider who is suddenly pulled into the spy life and we get to watch her learn and find her own abilities in the line of work. I think once you get half way through the season you start to realize it's still a great show. I know a lot of fans abandoned it after Vaughn was shot but Vaughn-while there since the pilot--wasn't the most integral part of the series. And he's still very much part of the fifth season, even if her isn't there during most of it.

Season two is just tops though. You can't beat it, imo. Great cast, great stories and stunts, great emotions. I love the Dixon/Syd interaction and Sark/Syd rivalry. And I even loved the plot with Sloane and Emily. And the stuff with Will still being involved in the CIA action....Irina...fauz!Francie....etc. Fantastic season! Probably one of my faves in all of tv because it was just so well constructed and intriguing.

I mentioned a few of my fave eps before but another one I adore: Firebomb. Because, wow! It's so heart- wrenching watching those people in the chruch go all flamey. But the whole episode is pretty stellar. Good, good stuff!

One of my favorite episodes is "Truth Takes Time", because the showdown between Irina and Sydney = Also, the really heartbreaking scene with Vaughn and Syd in bed, and Syd realizes the message! So great!

Just watched "The Shed", and I'm loving Rachel, but Tom still insanely sucks. Weiss leaving after "...1..." was horrible, and "...1..." was actually pretty bad, IMO. *shrugs* But I loved "The Shed"! I loved the last fifteen minutes, plus seeing Amy Acker was wonderful! It's like a repeat of Syd in SD-6! I really hope they wake Nadia up, because she's amazing. And they better bring Irina and Katya back for the finale, or at least one of them (IRINA!). So, far, after three episodes, it's iffy, but still Alias. And it's only been three episodes, I can't judge.

Season Two WAS awesome! It was simply brilliant from every aspect and I still can't believe that it was one of the lowest rated seasons. How is that possible? Season Four was the highest rated season but in my opinion, it wasn't even half as good as the earlier seasons.

Jenny Lou, I loved Firebomb too! It was totally gut-wrenching to see those people get burnt in the church. What a scary idea! The Rambaldi concept throughout the entire series was superb, in my opinion. The prop guys deserve a lot of praise for coming up with such strange, yet beautiful props.

Okay, I'm cruising through this season. About ten minutes ago, I finished "Maternal Instinct", and this season is truly picking up! "The Horizon", "S.O.S", and "Maternal Instinct" were all perfect. It seems like the writers are doing the best they can to pull out all the stops. Vaughn's back, the return of Weiss, Sloane finding a cure for Nadia, Sloane looking like he's evil, Sark back, Syd's baby, Irina back and the bad guy, and the meaning of life: Amy Acker with a rocket launcher How ****in' awesome was that!?!? "Bob" was fun, especially the Rachel/Sark scenes, which I loved! The break in scene in "S.O.S" was so awesome, and Weiss's help was pitch-perfect. All "The Horizon" flashbacks with Vaughn were great, bringing us back to some of the best Vaugn/Syd scenes, and the birth scene in "Maternal Instinct" was fantastic. I'm about to start the one hundredth episode, and I can't wait to see how this season pans out, but it's shaping up to have some of the best episodes in the series. And now Syd can get back into action, without the baby! WOO! And HOO!

Sorry for the double post, but I just finished the series finale, "All The Time In The World". Woah. Woah. I loved it, like Jenni. I was super shocked that both spy parents died! the way Jack died was fabulous, taking out Sloane in the process And Sloane's fate is fantastic! I loved Sloane talking to Nadia throughout the episode and her leaving him was great. "And like you said, you have all the time in the world." Awesome! I wish there was a more epic fight between Irina and Sydney, because that would've been awesome. And I wanted Peyton to escape and either get killed in an all-out battle, or get away and do that mission with Sark. I loved how Sark got away, though. That's just like him. The music was especially great in this episode, specifically when Vaughn was interrogating Sark, it really brought everything up to a boiling point. And Irina's death was almost like a suicide! Woah. The end of "Reprisal" was heartbreaking and fantastically done with Sloane's voiceover on it. I loved Tom/Rachel's exchange of only two lines, but it's so sad! I wanted to see Weiss in it for the final episode, and was really expecting it, after he said "Call next time," in "S.O.S". Looks like they didn't call Loved it, loved it, and loved it some more. But, a little more action and I would've been perfectly set.

                                      EDIT:

Sark's line is basically perfect in the finale. Loved it: "I didn't want any of this, Michael. I'm a business man!" I was just waiting for him to add "pure and simple" after that

Glad you liked it, Ben! Some fans don't. I thought it was a fitting finale however. My fave aspects of it are 1(that Sloane gets his just desserts; it's totally poetic justice to be stuck there for eternity! and 2)Sark gets away; like you said, that's just like him. I would have been pissed if they kiled him off because it seems appropriate that he lives and goes onto to do some more fo his dastardly deeds.

I also love that Sark line. My other fave line from him is "My loyalties are flexible." That wasn't in this episode but it completely sums up Sark's character. Whatever is going to get him loads of money...that's what's gonna do.

And you have to admit the Rachel/Tom stuff was also a little heartbreaking.
