Um, so my clock is behind 10 minutes. Therefore, I missed the first 10 of last night's episode.

Oh, Lana. She was so blinded by all this sudden happiness that she couldn't even tell it was not Clark. (Also, flying away to Paris? Really? They didn't have a more inventive destination? ) Or if she knew something was off, she can't admit it. But really, I loved watching Lana's attempt at denial. Especially since Chloe wasn't so easily fooled by Clark. Aside from the part where I wanted to smack her (where Chloe was telling her something was up with Clark, and she was telling Chloe to let go of him), I almost felt bad. *shudders at the thought* While I was (somewhat jokingly) hoping she'd do the badass thing and run off with Bizarro, I loved the awkwardness of the aftermath.

Heh, Grant was actually kind of growing on me. I don't like watching people die like that. It just makes me uneasy.

Do I have much else to say at the moment? No, because I spent all morning and afternoon trying to think of the line that cracked me up all night. By the time I finally realized it was a Supernatural line I was remembering, I forgot what I wanted to say about Smallville. Ooh ooh, there was something that Brainiac said to Bizarro that gave me funny pictures...involving sunscreen. And a wide-brimmed hat.

I actually enjoyed this episode. I don't know why since I've always been a Clana fan til Lana went and married Lex. I admit- I wanted her to fly off to Paris with Bizarro and leave poor Clark alone. I am really just sick of her and want her to die so Clark can move on and just fufill his damn destiny.

What I thought was ironic was James Marsters feeding off of a rat. Was that a shout to Angel? I couldn't help but wonder.

yeah, I loved the rat bit too...

I thought Brainiac had a definite Spike-esque to him in this episode, he walked with Spike's swagger, and he was being such a smart ass....*sigh* reminiscences.

I too felt bad for Lana in this...to *finally* think you've gotten on the right track with your 'soul mate' only to find out it was the evil version of him...what's that say about her?

I have felt that Tom's acting has been a bit off the past few episodes (with Clark - not bizarro). I don't think it's his fault, I think he's getting lousy direction, but Clark just doesn't seem like Clark...he seems very out of character somehow, and I just can't seem to put my finger on it.

Awww, poor Grant...I was actually starting to like him. But, I guess he couldn't really stick around, what with Ollie coming back next week and all... Just too many Lois suitors wouldn't be good....it will be interesting to see if she even has any reaction at all to Grant's death, though, or will it be all 'ooooh, Oliver...Grant who?'

And EVIL Lex! I, up until this episode still thought of him as, well a little lost lamb who was just wrapped in a bad boy package....but after this, I don't know, the tide has turned for me....he's just sunk too low now, IMO. I love him.

        I agree that Brainiac had a Spike-esque.

As for Grant- I am okay with him being killed by Lex. I think its sort of symbolic. Lex has always been under Julian's shadow. Lex wasn't the perfect son. While perhaps Lex was longing for some brother-hood companionship, I still think there was bitter feelings hidden there, especially when Lionel wanted to take Grant under his wing as he has with Clark. I love how it was in slow motion- the way the mugger killed Grant, and Lex just silently drank his scotch showing no emotions. It foreshadows how dark Lex will become. Quite interesting, I think.

          I thought it was "okay".

I actually really dislike the fact that EVERYBODY loves Lana. Even the badass bad guy loves Lana! She was good as a badass in s6, but she's a idiot, once more. I dislike her and the Clana relationship AGAIN. I wish she would've tried to kill Bizarro but Bizaaro grabs her hand and boom, she go dead.

However, Brainiac was absolutely amazing and James Marsters just plays him spot on. I can't wait for more of him. I also really enjoyed the ending. What a bitch Lex has become. An evil bitch. But, like LR said, I'm loving it

So, all in all, not great like "Gemini" or others this season, but good.

Though I really would have giggled if she went for Bizarro, I totally agree with you. She makes everybody fall in love with her for god knows why (aside from the show being grossly obsessed with her), and Lois is always treated as a piece of ass. Nice. I never found anything special about her character, until I saw the remote possibility of her turning evil! But I gotta say, I would love it if she actually did have an inkling that it wasn't Clark, and still went along with it...being selfish instead of noble. And I don't say that because it would be fun to point out how selfish she is. I just mean it would make her somewhat interesting to me. And again, I did almost feel bad for her. Because she was so happy with Bizarro. And because she was so happy that she got to be part of Clark's inner circle of secrets...only to find out that she has been more blind because of it and apparently does not know Clark as much as she thought (or as much as Chloe...) Of course, I only say almost, because I really did take the time to be immature and point and laugh at her. Anyway, I feel like there's something else I'm not getting out, and it's bugging me!

Lanagoboom! is a nice visual. But wouldn't have stuck. We would have been cheering and partying together for a week until the next episode, in which she'd be suddenly alive and walking around in some other foreign country I don't think I can take that kind of disappointment over and over again.

I couldn't agree more. All the Clana in this episode nearly made me barf (even if it was not really Clana but Lana and Bizarro). It was so damn boring, it nearly made me stop watching the episode.

On the whole, I thought this was one of the dullest SV eps ever. After such a long hiatus, I expected something more exciting I guess. Or maybe I'm just over this show, I don't know.

One of the few things I liked was Lana's denial that it really was not Clark and Chloe knowing right away that it was not the real Clark. Just goes to show that Chloe knows Clark so much better than Lana ever will! When Lana told Chloe it was time to let him go (or such nonsense) and Chloe looked all crushed, I really wanted to smack Lana. I loved when Lana realised that Chloe had been right all long about Clark/Bizarro. Also the last scene between Lana and Clark with the awkwardness between them was good, I enjoyed that. Oh and can somebody tell me the name of that awesome song that was playing in the last scene? I think I enjoyed listening to that song more than watching the entire episode.

It was nice seeing JM as Brainiac again, he definitely had a Spike-like swagger about him in this ep.

Most of you know that I love Lex and MR but this scene with him shouting out in the rain actually made me cringe a bit, somehow it did not sit right with me.

Looks like it was Pioneer to the Falls by Interpol. I agree that song was awesomely placed and amped up the entire ending.

I actually enjoyed this episode. Lana's denial was bittersweet to me. Not a Clana fan, it was enjoyable to see her so unperceptive or in complete denial. The two keep trying to make it work when neither them understand the other. The awkwardness at the end was so cringeworthy I didn't know whether to leap for joy that maybe their relationship end was near or to feel bad that they were recognizing how they didn't work. (Watching alone I did more leaping, while watching with mom I had to show a bit more sympathy. ) So, for me, any episode that strikes such palpable emotion has great value.

I did wonder for an instant if it would be cool for Lana to choose Bizzaro and fly away from SV and Clark forever, but ultimately I'm impressed with Lana's tendency to prey upon villain's infatuation with her to get close enough to destroy them. You don't see that enough in film.

I loved how Chloe picked up on Bizzaro's behavior. And Lana getting that truth smacked in her face was fun revenge.

Other than that little albatross has pretty much summed my thoughts on the subject already.

I was just getting attached to Grant and wondering if he might become a villian if MR really does leave. So Lex killing him was disappointing (though an evil clone probably isn't far behind).

I did find it extremely lame that Jor-El locked Clark in ice to punish him and then just released him when Bizarro came around. Hello, always plenty of danger in Smallville and the world. And Bizzaro was actually not much of a threat unless mooneyes over Lana are now deadly.

                Lydia made the punch!
