4.11 Lay Your Hands On Me

Wow, I can't believe there isn't a thread for this all ready...probably because most people may not have known that there was a new episode this past Thursday.

I must say that this was one of the best episodes I've seen so far this year, which is saying something because this season has kicked ass.

I was laughing at parts and crying more of the time, but that's what good television will do to you.

First off, I think it was the first time that the voice over was done by someone other than Meredith. I really thought it was a nice fitting change for Bailey to do the voice-over, especially since the ep was so Bailey centric.

The acting in this eppy was superb. When Bailey broke down in Derek's arms I couldn't stop sobbing...and as a mother I know how hard and frustrating it can be when something happens to one of your kids to blame yourself and to try to figure out just what you did wrong that could have prevented it.

I loved the whole faith vs. medicine storyline in this episode. And I liked that the writers showed that one is not exclusive of the other...that you can have both and do just fine.

I loved the bits with Alex and the Faith healer. I loved how they pegged him to the wall about his character, and I find myself even more intrigued by him than I have been to date. Plus, I loved at the end when he brought Izzie in and they said she brightened him up...I love the little blips they give us of the Alex/Izzie ship....he so loves her, and I hope they bring those two together soon.

Awww....Derek and Meredith broke up....again. I love them together, but I'm shocked at myself that I really like Rose...

How cute was it that Lexi ate Meredith's food even though she was allergic. Also, I think George and Lexi are soooo cute...I don't know if I see them as a couple, but I think they have great friend chemistry.

Oh and damn, does Sloane just get cuter each episode or is it just me? That man is too pretty for words. I still HATE Hahn though...

I LOVED that Bailey practically told Hahn to go piss off... Go Bailey.

Overall one of my favorite episodes.....I just hate the thought of not knowing when (or if) the next new one will pop up.

Furthermore, I thought I'd hate Lexie in the begining of the year, but I really like her! She's fun and very non-annoying And her relationship with George is sweet, I think it's good that she has someone in the "original gang" that she can turn to etc.

Also, the Bailey arch... I just feel so sorry for her and her marriage. There's really no wrong or right, she can't stop being a doctor and he can't be both mom, dad and understanding husband. It's really just a sad situation

Moreover, I'm really hoping Hahn will cave into Sloane's flirting, because those two would be so much fun toghether. She'd totally be the "man" in the realtionship! And how can you say no to McSteamy?!

I've always loved Alex character, especially his relationship with Ava - not so much with Izzie. I think they're more "good friends" than a couple.

I just read an interview with Justin Chambers and he says that he thinks ALex has a deep longing for Izzie. I happen to agree. The way he responds to her....it seems so evident to me. :/

Moreover, I'm really hoping Hahn will cave into Sloane's flirting, because those two would be so much fun toghether. She'd totally be the "man" in the realtionship!
