One Tree Hill Season 5

Finally...

I wasn't really sure I was going to like this jumping 4 years ahead thing but in a way I didn't want to see the college experiences again. But I really loved the first two episodes. I even got a little teary!

How adorable is Jamie? Seriously that kid is so cute and very well played. I love the seasons with him and Lucas, and even with Nathan, it's really touching and brings something else to a show like this. These kids are grown ups now, it's not just about finding a job and your place in the real world it's dealing with your friends having children and needing you to be in their lives.

Nathan is Dan at the moment.. I can't believe he hasn't changed, that 4 years on he couldn't walk away from that fight. But the end of the second episode with Haley coming down on him was really powerful and seemed to provoke the change in him needed.

I love new Brooke, she's the brave strong one now it seems Peyton is just the same for me. I hope she isn't going to go after Lucas again because that's just unfair on him.

Does anyone know if Karen is going to be in this season? I would love to see her back with her daughter, I know they said she's in Ireland but I hope she comes back. I feel I need to re-watch season 4. I can't remember what happened to so many of the other characters!

Anyway, I really enjoyed the premier, definitely looking forward to next week. The flashbacks are linked in really nicely and I feel we'll get a nice story this year

I wasn't sure what to expect either and I was happy that they were skipping college. Too many shows have all the kids going to the same made up school and it's so fake. Plus, this gives us lots of potential to see interesting flashbacks.

Agreed, Jamie is the cutest!

I also love Brooke. Over the seasons she has probably become my fave character. I love that she is okay with just being herself and doesn't waver in her confidence.

Also a plus? That everyone isn't some super successful famous person or something. Brooke is a little young to have her own company and all, but I will give into the suspension of disbelief. I can also believe Lucas as a published author because I am a Fiction Writing grad and know lots of published authors. I am also glad that Nathan isn't in the NBA or something lame like that. But it does suck that he has essentially reverted back into his bad ways. I suspect that may change soon though!

Strangely, I do miss the adults. I want to catch up with Dan and it's weird that Karen is gone. Why did she leave? Both her businesses are dead and boarded up and becoming places of business for Peyton and Brooke? Weird. It seems like something must have happened for Karen to have left the country and and abandon her businesses. :/


OTH is my biggest guilty pleasure. SO I am glad it's back.

But why oh why do we have to suffer through Kevin Federline?

I was glad they skipped college as well. That's usually when a show loses steam and starts being crap. So yes this is a plus.

I love Brooke this season too! She was starting to grow on me last season while Peyton was starting to annoy the crap out of me. They basically kept them both the same so far this season. My favorite part from both episodes that played had to be when Brooke jumped on top of who she thought was Lucas. I just about died of laughter when the girl popped up from underneath the covers. The look on Brooke's face is what did it to me. How embarassing would that be?

But why oh why do we have to suffer through Kevin Federline?

I loved the time jump, it's so interesting to watch. It's kind of depressing, like Brooke got what she wanted, but still feels empty, Mouth can't win with his new job, Lucas is muse-less, Peyton is facing the truth about the music business, Haley can't handle her class, and Nathan lost is dream. The only one who seems happy is Skills, and he's jobless.

Jamie is so funny to watch. Usually, I hate children on shows, but this kid is great. His lines were really funny, like the, "They want it red, like Elmo. I hate Elmo, Grover's so much better. He's blue!" Haley is such a natural at being a mom. I loved his interaction with Brooke. Also, I've glad Skills is like an uncle to him. Didn't he say something like that to Haley in 'Pictures of You?' I'm glad he kept is promise.

I really like Lyndsey. Though, she looks like Hilarie Burton. I saw an episode Still for 5.12, and I thought it was Peyton in the picture.

Dan will be back. His name was in the opening credits. It kind of annoys me. If he gets out of jail for any reason, I'll scream. I don't think murderers can get out of jail after 4 years. Both Karen and Lily will be back. Though, there's no sign of Deb.

Also, Where's Rachel?! I really hope she appears later on, which I think she will. By the way, am I the only one who thought that maybe Brooke was firing Rachel? Rachel did the Maxim thing in Season 4. Maybe she was one of Brooke's models?

I also missed Bevin. I really wanted to she if she was right about what she said about her just acting stupid, and unlike Rachel, after she graduates, she'll change.

It was a great start to the Season.

No idea when season 5 will air in Aus. But im still finishing watching season 4 dvds first, but still reading the seaon 5 spoilers. Seems like its going to be a great season!

Im hating that all you lucky people can watch season 5, , does anyone know when it will air in Britain? or am I going to have to wait for ages until E4 gets it?

Is anyone still watching? So far the predictions are coming true. Mouth is sleeping with his boss. The new assistant likes Mouth so I'm assuming in no time he'll be hooking up with her. Nathan will more than likely sleep with the nanny. Honestly if I was Haley I would be cautious too. Keep an eye on your man Hales, that's all I have to say. "Jimmy Jam" is still the most adorable little boy. Is it just me or is Brookes mom a complete bitch? That last scene of Brookes this past episode broke my heart. Her having that dream of her mother saying I love you back. She gets the courage to go tell her mom she loves her and all her mom had to say was lock up the shop. :eek: What a horrible mother!
