This should cheer up "Bones" fans -- TNT has a syndication deal for "Bones", and will begin airing reruns on January 30th at 11pm ET. TNT does wonders for syndicated shows building up an audience for their original episodes, so you should be excited
I think it's just Wednesdays at 11pm right now. But, that's normal -- "Cold Case" and "Without a Trace" started their reruns on a similar basis. They just like to see where they can work stuff in, and then eventually it's mini-marathons once a week and sometimes a nightly episode. I mean, it'll never be "Law & Order", but what is?
Though it'd be better if that stupid woman stopped crawling into the corner of my tv screen when i'm trying to watch Angel! Sorry, but that just really bugs me, all the Closer advertising I always see while trying to watch Angel, often at the bottom of the screen, just turns me off that show!
Anyway, OT this is great news, esp. given Fox's current stellar plan to show repeats....completely out of order! Which is just awesome for creating new fans! But hopefully with the TNT deal new fans will come b/c they can see them all in order!
I can tell my dad to tape it too, so he can see it without me having to loan him my precious DVDs (the condition of which I'm rather OCD about, like my books....)!
I'm actually jealous of my parents because of this. I don't have cable so I can't watch it when it comes on. I think this is a great thing for the show though. People can watch the reruns, get hooked, and then go watch the new episodes whenever they actually get back on tv. Maybe they will even like it so much they will go buy it on dvd. I wish I had cable...I want TNT.
they should do a 2-hour boreanaz block with angel and bones. since they seem to desperately want to use angel as ungodly-morning-hour filler, they could put bones at 11 pm and angel at midnight. it would still be an improvement over what hour they now air angel at.
also--more angel, less charmed and law & order! bleh.
"If there is no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do."
"Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh and cruel. But that's why there's us. Champions."

Oh I know, "ungodly-morning-hour" is right! Though it was okay I suppose whenever I've had to get up at an ungodly hour and have something good to watch at breakfast....
But yeah, a Boreanaz-double feature would be awesome! Though don't they usually show two epps of the show back to back? (Or at least at first, though it seems they've stopped doing that with Angel)....
Dude, they do not need to show less Law & Order. L&O is super freakin' awesomeness. And it basically a pinnacle of their network now. Seriously, I that show. It something engaging to watch that doesn't require you to see every single episode to understand it because every ep is a self-contained ep. I usually wouldn't like shows like that but with L&O it works. Plus Jerry Orbach rules all.
But Charmed should go. I always have change the channel when it comes on.
But the Bones run has begun. I almost watched the pilot but I decided on Family Guy or something else instead. I have the dvds anyway!
I hadn't seen the pilot before, only have seen a couple episodes. I clearly misunderstood some of the basic concepts -- I thought all those people were with the Bureau.
Also, I had to wince at some of the procedural stuff in that episode. Reasonable suspicion that a crime is in progress is *not* sufficient for search without a warrant. It's still a probable cause standard. Granted, she probably had probable cause.
And the gum thing wasn't a search or a seizure, so there was no 4th amendment issue with her taking it out of the trash.

Heh, yeah, I can sympathize with nit-picking when it comes to history! I always wondered what the big deal with the gum was also--HE's the one who threw it out, nothing says you can't pick up trash!
But yeah, the pilot wasn't the best, but it got much better than there....and no, only Booth is with the Bureau, the others work for the Jeffersonian (aka Smithsonian, if they had a cool tech lab), and partner with the FBI....
