I finally got off my ass and finished season three and holy frakkin' gods! It was sublime. That was one of the best season finales I have ever seen. For realz. So much going on and so many reveals!! I can't believe that those four people are frakkin' Cylons! It's just so incredible. I loved it. And Earth? Oh my gods.

Who else watches? Did anyone also watch Razor? I really liked that too. It was cool to sort go in and see what actually happened on the Pegasus. Of course, I watched it before I finished season three and now I kinda wanna go and rewatch it because of what I now know from the finale.

Seriously though, that finale blew me away. It was sheer awesome. And I love how they used "All Along the Watchtower"....I am totally wondering what time the show exists in now. Is it the past? The future? What will it be like when they get there? Will we even know the answers to this stuff.

Anyway, wow. Stupid writers strike. Only like 12 eps are filmed and it's supposed to the last season. I cannot wait until it starts! Frak!

BSG is my absolute favorite show. The season 3 finale was AMAZING. There was Lee's awesome awesome testimony. And then the Final Four reveal which is possibly my favorite scene ever. It was just so *intense* I was like hyperventilating. And then KARAAAAA. God I love that episode.

And I loved Razor. When I first heard about it I was like eh whatever because I didn't really like Cain at all when I first saw her in s2. But she grew on me in this and I really loved the main character Kendra. She was like Starbuck but a bit crazier/darker. I'm really sad she died because she had some great chemistry with like everyone.

Have you seen the season 4 trailer? God I'm so excited. I can't believe we have to wait until March.

Okay, yes I saw the season four trailer! Cannot. Wait. Frak!

And yes, that scene with the four revealed cylons was absolutely incredible. Intense, indeed. I literally sat watching with my mouth agape and my hands covering it. I am going to rewatch it again actually because wow. It was amazing. And I agree: it may possibly be my fave scene ever as well.

And you're right...Lee's testimony was great. You could sense his passion. And to be honest, I was totally on his side because as slimy and weaselly as Baltar is--you kind of can't blame him for what he did on New Caprica. I mean, it didn't really have a choice.

I didn't like Cain much either. She was just unlikable as a person. But I also grew to enjoy her character a little bit; we got to see a different side to the way Adama runs things. And that was cool.

And after what the old Cylon dude said about Kara being the harbinger of death and all....it makes the s3 finale that much crazier! Because it makes you wonder if her knwing where Earth is actually a good thing.

Oh gods....season four, I want now now now!!!!

I loved Razor. I always thought Cain was one of the best characters the show had ever written, a leader who had really gone past the point of no return without actually being insane. And Razor really solidified my love for the hateful lassie. I love the bit where Fisk is on the Scylla and he calls her and says that there are full families on board, and Cain glances at Gina, all beautiful and bloody, and you can literally see her thinking "no one deserves a family".

Kendra Shaw was an amazing new character, really good. And Nico Cortez, playing the younger version of Adama, was spot on. Loved his acting. Razor was amazing, although it was a bit jarring and perhaps a little less masterfully constructed than usual. Writing wise, it was stunning.

        Back to season 3 --

You're damn right -- the way that the cover of "All Along the Watchtower" was used at the end (eg. finally played) made the climax really, really intense. And
        Spoiler:
Colonel Tigh is honestly my new hero. After everything that man has done, especially killing his wife for collaborating, and he finds out and says "we do our frakking jobs". My. Hero.

Also -- it's really interesting that those four in particular are apparently Cylons. They were basically the leaders of the Resistance on New Caprica (Tory less in the Resistance part, but more in preparing the people for the Exodus and being a leader for the non-soldiers), which makes things a lot more complicated. Makes you wonder if Roslin isn't the final Cylon.

Definitely. Forgetting how dangerous a person Baltar actually is (as he showed in "Taking a Break From All Your Worries" in the scene with Gaeta, and "Dirty Hands" with his novel) what else could he have done? I think Lampkin probably said it right by saying that he was glad that Roslin wasn't president when the Cylons landed. And that scene in "Precipice" when Doral is holding the gun to Baltar's head, and he is clearly so unwilling to sign until Angel!Six convinces him, is really powerful.

Good call. It was fantastic casting. You could really see a little Edward James Olmos in him, for sure.

Right. And really...what else are they supposed to do? All they know is who they are as human beings. It's going to be interesting to see where their journeys take them next season, to see if any agendas changes or what it is they were meant to do.

Yeah, I was reading some interviews with Ronald D. Moore and had mentioned something about that....or at least, that these four had somehow gotten into positions of power and how that might play into what that means for them now that they are Cylons. And I guess that makes sense. If Cylons want to infiltrate the human society, the best way to get information would be to have people in th higher ranks. Of course, I don't see how this benefits them if these recently revealed Cylons are not willing to align themselves with who they thought were their enemies.

Wow, that probably made so little sense. Sorry, it's late.

That's the truth. I adore Roslin and she is willing to make the hard decisions. But in this case, she would have made a wrong one. At least with Baltar at the helms the human race was ale to continue on. If Laura was in that position she very well could have led them to their end. Baltar was right to surrender; he didn't have a choice as evidenced by that intense scene with the gun to his head.

Well, what's interesting is that the Final Five (not the ones we know, who think of themselves as human) seem to be on a level far above the other Cylons (the ones we know: Six, Sharon, D'Anna, Doral, Cavil, Simon, Leoben), on a different plane, in the "space between life and death". And of course in the dream sequence in "Crossroads, part II", the Final Five look like very sinister figures, drawing Caprica-Six to try to protect Hera.

So it's very possible that the Final Five, through their 'sleepers' could have been trying to disrupt the other seven Cylons. What's also interesting is that in Razor, the aged Hybrid (God, even) had additional dialogue that was cut. One part of it went something along the lines of "the seven, now six, are confused and will tear themselves apart". That already started with D'Anna's fanaticism and subsequent boxing.

Anyway I wonder whether or not the Final Five (the mystical ones, not the sleeper characters) are trying to stop the merging of human and Cylon that began with Hera's birth. Additionally, the "Angel" characters (the Six in Gaius' head, the Gaius in Caprica-Six's head, and the Leoben in Kara's head in her amazing episode) seem to be working for two purposes: to ensure the baby's survival, and to get the humans (and even the seven Cylons) to Earth.

I cannot wait until season 4 -- but I wish it wasn't the last season.

            P.S. Thanks for the rep!

ooh, that would be a cool storyline for Tyrol with his son. I also read some stuff and Moore won't confirm or deny if there are other hybrids children besides Hera and Nicky. Makes me think you may be onto something there!

oooh, I just recently finished watching S3 as well

I LOVED the trailer for S4...did somebody mention that we have to wait until March? Gah! That's way too long...But from the trailer it looks like they're trying to hint around that Starbuck is suspected as being the final cylon. I have mixed feelings about that. On the one hand it would make sense that
                Spoiler:
she never got pregnant with hubby since cylons can't reproduce
but on the other I'd be royally pissed off. I'm all ready pissed that
                Spoiler:
                Chief
is a cylon - he was one of my favorites on the show other than Starbuck and Lee.

But whoever it is, I'm guessing it's the one that Deanna apologized to when she saw the last one. So is it someone that she's actually met? Or just a high up figure that she knows of? I SO want to know!

I really did love the finale - and at the time watching S3 when they had the episode that
                Spoiler:
                killed off Kara
I was so fooled - because I was watching
                Spoiler:
                her on Bionic Woman
and I just assumed that she left the show. So in the finale when
                Spoiler:
she was flying next to Lee, I about did a backflip I was so excited! She's my favorite character, and I wasn't about to continue to watch the series without her.

I know...much too long! Frak! *pulls hair out*

It seems to be that they have been hinting at Starbuck being the final Cylon for a very long time, what with her "special destiny" and all. And that just makes me think she can't be.

I knew he was! Don't know why, but I have suspected him since the first season. I have no good reason to back that up. And it's not as if there would be any hints anyway, since I read Moore didn't know himself until halfway through s3.

But whoever it is, I'm guessing it's the one that Deanna apologized to when she saw the last one. So is it someone that she's actually met? Or just a high up figure that she knows of? I SO want to know!
She could have been talking about
                  Spoiler:
Tigh because she did apologize....remember...she tortured him on New Caprica.

But yeah, it could be someone else for sure, as well.
I really did love the finale - and at the time watching S3 when they had the episode that

I have to be honest. I thought there was no way they would kill off that character. Just no way. However, after that episode I was seriously doubting that belief. It is was one good farewell episode.

What would you think if you were Adama or Roslin? That Starbuck just returned from the grave like any old human?

I don't think she's a Cylon. She's too involved in the human mythology (eg. as a representation of the Goddess Aurora) for that. Also, Leoben's assuredness of her destiny, having "seen her path". I'm sure the real Leoben (not the one that guided her in her head in "Maelstrom", who obviously knows everything) does have an inkling of her destiny. If she were one of the Final Five, and the Seven Cylons really have blocked them from memory (as is evident with D'Anna), then how would Leoben know anything about her? But then again, the writers may surprise us yet.

He's not now that he's a Cylon? It's sad for the character but from our perspective some of the best characters are Cylons. I think that by making those four people Cylons, particularly

the writers are trying to hammer home the idea that the Cylons and humans are so linked together that they'll end up meshing one day.

Strangely, I think the one I was most chocked to find was Cylon was
                      Spoiler:
                      Anders.
I don't have a good explanation for that.
                      Spoiler:
I guess that perhaps I just saw him as so divided from the goings-on on Galactica. That he was essentially stranded on a planet before Starbuck had him rescued. That he was a civilian and no so much an officer or politician or anything like that.

As four season four, am glad they are officially adding Michael Trucco to the cast because I have really responded to Anders from the beginning and I was very happy that he wasn't discarded and that he was rescued from the planet he was stuck on. And I just enjoy his character; he's very forward and straight-laced and calls it like he sees it. Plus, he's not bad to look at at all.

Yeah, I guess the thing about the Final Five is that they could have been anyone... for the Seven, the writers had to follow a strict timeline, eg. their history before a couple of years before the attacks had to be impossible to verify. But presumably the Final Five are so mystical that they've been there all along/they can insert memories, or something, and just rely on destiny to take their sleepers to where they need to be. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Final Five are explained.

What I really like about Anders is his wholehearted belief that Kara's destiny, and the circumstances of both his life and hers, tell him that they're meant to be together. And I think that that maybe has something to do with
                        Spoiler:
the fact that he IS one of the Final Five.

Also, were the people that the young Adama spoke to through the door in Razor Leoben and Six? 'Cos they sure looked like them.

Ooh, I am glad you brought that up. Because I had even mentioned that to my fiance as we were watching it. I recognized Six more than I did the other one. But I am relieved I am not the only one who thought so. Because I thought that scene might have been specifically designed to show us them as well as the project going on there.

Anyway, I screencapped Razor so I have a few shots from that scene. But looking at it now, it doesn't look like Leoben. But it could perhaps be Six. Maybe. These are like 1200px wide, so I put them in a spoiler tag.

That is so weird. I thought it was Six & Leoben too when I first watched. But I don't think it is. The skinjobs weren't around yet back then right? I figure they probably *just* started making them. Plus I know that's definitely not Leoben. I spend forever staring at pics/vids of him (lol what?).

The very first time we saw that scene where D'anna apologizes to the glowy white final five before we found out who they were

I really really want Billy to be a cylon. Just because I miss him! PLEASE BE THE FINAL CYLON BILLY!

And yeah I am also on the Anders love train. He's awesome.

how Kara is going to be hanging around Leoben a lot more. This makes me crazy happy. They have some great chemistry and more Leoben = Happy me. Plus I want to learn more about him. He seems way different than the other cylons. Notice how he'll pretty much never be around when they're making decisions or anything. He's too busy kidnapping Kara or talking about cryptic streams I guess. And then there was that scene where Six was telling Baltar that they all think the Hybrid is insane but Leoben believes The Hybrid is chilling with God. I dunno.

I need to rewatch that episode. Because I can't remember it. I watched the first s3 six eps months and months ago. :/

I can't believe Ron Moore didn't know he was going to make

Chief a cylon from the beginning. He kept on hinting at it with that episode where he kept having strange dreams and then the s3 episode where he heard music and walked to the temple. Although I guess he knew then? That was like sort of middle of s3.
Yeah, I just read about it the other night in an interview with him. SO I guess he figured it out around the time of that episode.

I really really want Billy to be a cylon. Just because I miss him! PLEASE BE THE FINAL CYLON BILLY!
Dude, I am with you on the Billy love. I was so sad when he died.

And yeah I am also on the Anders love train. He's awesome.

He was actually the one I was least surprised about being a cylon. I dunno. I just always thought it'd be cool if he was a cylon being the resistance leader on Caprica and all.

I read some season 4 spoilers about
                              Spoiler:
how Kara is going to be hanging around Leoben a lot more. I dunno.
Sounds cool. And honestly, I don't care 'cause I just want it to start airing now now now!!!!

Haha aww Billy. I miss him but I don't think it's him. I also really adore/miss Kat. She was such a fighter.

Speaking of the minor characters, I love Gunny Mathias. She's one of the marines, one of the people Sharon brought down to New Caprica for the Exodus. And she was the one that Lee ordered to point the gun at Anders at the end of The Eye of Jupiter. Haha, random I know, but she's just this awesome minor character who turns up and is a hardcore marine.

Yeah, she was! But I have to admit that she always rubbed me the wrong way. It wasn't until her final episode that I began to like her. She was just a little too rough and mean for my taste. However I know now that was just her insecurities shinigng through.

She is totally just on the periphery. Never really involved in too much yet still there. She does have some good potential to be utilized in some later stories, I think.

                                    Oh. My. Gawd.

I just watched the BSG MiniSeries to get into the series, because Jenni made me But, I loved it. I gotta admit, the first hour was pretty slow but when the Cylons launched the nuclear strike, it got good. I love most of the characters, but I LOVE Starbuck, Lee, and Sharon (is that her name?). Oh, yes, and the President.

I've got a few questions, though. 1) How is "Number 6" in Baltar's head? (btw, I hate Baltar so damn much!)

And 2) In the last scene (which was SO gasp worthy), why were there three number sixes? AND OMG!

*spoiler, but, then again, this was, like four years ago, so....* Sharon is a CYLON! WHAT!?

And the end makes sense, I think. There were nine that saved the abandoned Cylon, and then Sharon came out. Eleven, but there were supposed to be twelve. Is that because William Adama killed the twelfth one for good?

                                      Right? I know.

The third season is already over and I still don't know. I honestly think it is something that will be revealed before the series end. There must be a reason.

(btw, I hate Baltar so damn much!)
That will never change! But he is a cool character 'cause I find him so interesting and pathetic.

And 2) In the last scene (which was SO gasp worthy), why were there three number sixes? AND OMG!
Cause Number Six is a Cylon model; she is the number six model. You'll see more about what that means later in more detail.

btw, it's been ages since I watched the miniseries so I forget what the last scene was! I think I know but I don't want type it out and accidentally spoil you for something else!

I know. It gets much better too!

I'm not sure what you mean. At this point I forget how many cylons have been revealed. I think it's only four or five.

At any rate, as of the end of season three, the mystery of who the 12th cylon is remains unanswered. And four more were revealed in the last episode of s3. So as of the last ep, we know 11 cylon models.

Well, they'll have to reveal it sooner or later.

Oh! So, you mean, three of the models took the same body?

And, the last scene was when they kicked out the person they thought the Cylon was (he was the Cylon), and then the Cylons knock down the big doors and come through. It's three of the number six bodies, three of the person that Adama killed, and three of some other random person. That makes nine Cylon models. Plus, the one they're saving right then. Then Sharon walks out and is a Cylon (I think). That means there are eleven Cylon models there. But, I think the twelfth one is dead because Adama killed one, and he said the poison thing stopped him from moving onto another body.

I'm not sure what you mean. At this point I forget how many cylons have been revealed. I think it's only four or five.

I tried to answer that one above
