I have recently purchased the Rambaldi Collection and I am currently on the fifth disc of season 3. I just love this series, I really do!

Season 2 was just simply amazing. The use of Will and Francie/Allison really made the season feel more real, as we got a balance between Spy Life and Real Life. The fall of SD6 was also just greatly done. There was so much emotion and I think it helped that they cast the perfect actress as Irina Derevko.
The season 2 finale has been my favorite so far. All the big fights, mostly because of the fight between Sydney and Francie/Allison, which lasted so long, but was just so damn cool.

Season 3 on the other hand I feel is very lacking... I liked the first half, but the moment the truth about Lauren was revealed I felt the season just became lacking. I liked Lauren's character and the sudden turn was so uncharacter and just felt sooo forced. It was hard to watch scenes with her...

Can't wait to finish the season and watch season 4. I've already seen season 5 (half of it on TV, and the rest I rented on DVD). I can't wait to learn all about Nadia.

well, you've all ready seen all the good of Alias then...the series should have ended after S2 IMO, because JJ killed it... S1 was spectacular, a really great La Femme Nikita rip off, but with more happy...S2 was good - up unitl the SD6 take-down, which IMO was too quick and then the show did an abrupt turn...the second half was good, and you're right Lena Olin is a terrific actress...but S3 sucked royally, and S's 4 & 5 weren't much better...especially after the break-up of Jen Garner/Michael Vartan and then Jen's pregnancy - the show just took a serious nose-dive... Such a shame, too...because I so digged that show the first two seasons.

Aw everyone hates s3. It's my second favorite season. (2 is my fave) I actually really really hated Lauren until it turned out she was evil then I liked her. lol Season 3 has some good standalones though. It's like the equivalent of s4 of Buffy where everyone hates the overall arc but it has a few really good episodes.

well, S4 is my favorite of Buffy, so I can't compare...

And granted, S3 does have some good stand-alones....but it's just the overall quality of the series that went down hill after the end of S2... S5 had some great stand-alones as well....but the season itself was horrible, and the pultry acting and chemistry between the two leads was just abhorrent...

So far the only thing about season 3 I liked was Julia Thorn, that story line was somewhat intersting. But I hate that they threw away Francie and Will. That is what I loved about the first two seasons, the two different worlds Sydney had to live in, after Will went into witness protection, and Francie was killed, Sydney just had the one world.

I actually really liked season 5. I enjoyed all the new characters introduced (Renee, Rachel, Thomas and Peyton) I also liked how the season ended, though I guess I should rewatch it now after seeing all the other seasons.

Season three is pretty lame, imo. Two is my favorite. SO many great episodes in it! And the addition of Sark was an awesome choice.

I actually stopped watching for awhile a few episodes into season four because it just didn't hold interest for me anymore. But I blame that on that fact that is aired right after s1 of Lost and Lost was so awesome that Alias just bored me after it was over.

But I did get the dvds and I do have them all and s4 actually turned out to be pretty good. And season five wasn't terrible either. I happen to have LOVED the last episode. I won't ruin it for you here.

Yeah, Alias was good. But there was always something off about s3, imo. Although it did have some great eps as well I always really liked "Blowback" for example.

Oh! I liked S3! This was a great year to make fun of Vaughn, with the winner going to Daddy Bin Bristow, "Michael Vaughn is just a BOY who was never good enough for you".

I mean seriously, Vaughn waits about six months before moving on with Lauren. *exasperated* I mean how could he not tell she was eeeeeviLLL?!

But I love how the season starts off with a focus on Weiss and just wish that had stayed so strong. He was always a great side character and I was glad that with the void of Francy, Will and Vaughn, he got to try and fill this place.

Sark/Lauren was also an awesome pairing!

              Lydia made the punch!

                Okay. Wow.

I really, REALLY love this show! I just recently bought the Rambaldi Collection and sped through Season 1. I'm on Season 2 now, and just finished "Phase One" which is my favorite episode of the series, yet.

The teaser was awesome with "Back In Black"! I loved the, "What was wrong with the black one?" line! Jennifer Gardner rules! Irina is amazingly cast and I feel her storyline is insanely strong. I loved it so much when Jack framed her for blowing up the building that Sydney was going in. Perfectly well done, as was the kid soldier thing. I am very impressed by the Sydney/Vaughn relationship and the fall of SD-6 Sloane is so hard to predict: first he "kills" his wife, then he frames people and disappears, and then he orders all of the Alliance to be destroyed. Also, WTF is with Francie killing Francie?

So, I am really, really impressed. This show is fabulous.

This show is one of my favorites. Though I only watched season 1 all the way through and the rest of the seasons on and off. Not because I was bored by it, because I didn't have the time to sit down and watch it every single day. But, actually now I'm trying to find ways to watch it again! There are only 3 shows that I really love and really changed who I am and what I am and Alias is one of them.

                    WOO! Yes they were!

Even if season 3 isn't my favorite, I still really like it. That might just be because I LOVE Lauren. I am really obsessed with her, actually I liked her when she was just...that other woman. And then she was bad and I loved her.

I really loved the characters introduced in season 5. I loved Renee and Peyton. They kicked ass. (Though neither quite as well as Irena Derevko, whom I sort of worship!)

                      Back again!

Just finished Season 2, and I gotta say, it's one of my favorite seasons ever shown on TV. It was phenomenal! "The Telling" was one of the greatest episodes ever and that Francie/Sydney fight was one of my favorite fights ever! I jumped for joy when they said that Will wasn't dead I also liked that Allison really got to love Will! The Mexico City scene was really awesome, and I thought Irina really jumped without the harness at first. Thank god she did have a harness

And, I just started the Season 3 premiere: 15 minutes. And, I'm really not sure this was worth the shock value at all. Obviously, something has happened to Will if she can't see him, Jack's in jail, they won't answer about Irina, etc. I hope it turns out good

Two summers ago I noticed Alias at the local rental store (same place where I rented Buffy seasons 1-5 from, and which made it possible for me to be the BTVS fan I am today....awww... ), and began renting and watching it (though I stopped in time to watch season 1 of Bones in time to tune into season 2 when it began). So I've watched season 1 and abotu half of season 2 so far.....it's pretty good, though season 1 could get a little old sometimes, almost every epp was pretty formulaic and similar--goes on a few missions and gets them done okay, normal life, Vaughn ( ), more serious mission, then that's resolved, etc. What I saw of season 2 was cool though, love Sark.

Which leads to the most important question of all of course: Who's hotter, Sark or Vaughn?

I would think Vaughn, but I've heard some say they think Sark is hotter....
Promise that you'll return to me.

Sark is so way hotter. Maybe it is the accent or the nonchalance or the "flexible loyalties."

I mean, if genocide is your thing.

No, but really. Season two is so much better then s1, imo. Not all people will agree. But I say give it a go! It's much more action-packed and crazy.

He goes with whatever side benefits him more...at the moment.

Based on looks alone, I'd have to go with Vaughn. But honestly, I spend a lot of my time making fun of him for always looking so worried (it's that permanent furrowed brow!)...or just being the character I always choose to pick on for being kind of a doofus sometimes. Sark was always just so much more fun and interesting to watch, thus making him far more desirable (for me, at least.)

Oh yeah...the show. Yeah, season 2 is a hoot! You should definitely give the remainder of season a go! Of course, I don't know how much you should trust me on the seasons after that. I love them all dearly. I wasn't too into season 4 while it aired, but that might be because I couldn't watch the show regularly so it was hard to follow when I couldn't watch every week. I remember practically zooming straight through it on DVD, because I loved it

I am on disc 5 of Season 4 and I was really surprised on how much I like this season. After the lackluster end to season 3 (Lauren's death just seemed so unoriginal and looked like a cheap knock off to the fight with Francie at the end of season 2. Sydney should have killed her with the shovel...)

Season 4's set up with the APO is really refreshing, they were able to restart the series. Nadia is a great addition, I love her and Weiss, they are just an amazingly cute couple. I'm upset by the letting go of David Anders and only having him as a guest star. But I gotta say, Melissa George (Lauren) had the best uncredited guest spot ever being dead, I just loved that scene.

I was happy to see Ana back, I would have LOVED her in season 2 or 3, but oh well, she is great and I love Gina Torres. I am really excited with season 4 and I can't wait to see how it ends. I know Nadia dies, and I don't understand why they would kill her... She is just an amazing character.
I also love the twist with Irina's sister Elana. Ohhh I just think season 4 is so well thought out and though Season 2 is still better (because Irina was a main character), season 4 is a close second.

I think my fave ep of season four is "Tuesday." With Syd being buried alive and Marshall to the rescue. That episode was so intense. The first time I saw it I was like "yeah!" Alias is back, baby!

I concur though, that Lauren's appearance in s4 was cool. Sark is such an ass to do that to Michael.

Hehe, I'm a Vaughn fan all the way (I've actually made an enitre 5 Alias walls without him!) - though I agree with the brow. It is kinda funny Though I really hate the s4 arc he has with the
                                  Spoiler:
"is my dad alive or not"
thingy. *caughs* I haven't seen s5 yet :/*hm hm* I'm gonna get it for Christmas though, so in two months I'll have some comment on that (??h... [me likey non-English letters]).

Anyway, I agree with Jenni Lou about Tuesday being a fab ep of s4. However, can anything ever beat Welcome to Liberty Village?! Seriously, I've watched that soooo many times now! That, Phase One, Double Agent and Tuesday are my most watched epis. DA cos of Ethan Hawke of course (most fab -and gorgey- guest star ever ).

Furthermore, I really don't understand this hate-campaign against s3! It's fun! (The second time when I wasn't pulling of my hair because Vaughn's an idiot) I always - always - re-watch seasons. Even he ones I don't like. Often (not with Angel s4 though...) I find that when I know how things are goning to play out, I'm not as hung up on the story and can actually just enjoy all the subtle jokes and "stuff" (a tabu word in both Eng. and Chem...) like that.

Oh, and I just have to say - I love, no adore, the aeroplane scene in Phase One! First "what was wrong with the black one" (lots of w-s) and then Vaughn's "I'm gonna kill this guy"... It's funny I have like really bad humor - laugh at everything. OK, not everything, I seem to be the only one not thinking that Marshall is particulary funny (love him anyway). But I laugh a lot... Just in general... Rambling cames with that as well (as you well notice). SInce I don't have anything to actually say, I'm gonna stop...

Omg, yes. Phase One and Double Agent are also favorites of mine! As is Firebomb. Because, wow. I can't believe that weapon that killed all those people in the church. Insane!

Which one is Welcome to Liberty Village. I am too lazy to look it up now and for some reason the title is not clicking with me.

But s2 has most of my fave eps. It's just such a great season as a whole. Very exciting!

                                    Furthermore, I really don't understand this hate-campaign against s3! It's fun!
I don't hate it. I just think it was sloppy at times and s2 just trumps it so hard! Blowback is another one my fave eps. I really liked Patricia Wetting's shrink character.

Oh, and I just have to say - I love, no adore, the aeroplane scene in Phase One!
Oh, absolutely. If there was ever one singular scene that totally could sum up what the show was about and what its flavor is to someone who never saw the series, then this is it, I think!

                                      What's the aeroplane scene, again?

Finished Season 3, and gotta say, disappointed tremendousley by the finale. Although, I did love Vaughn beating the crap out of Sark Lauren's death was SO unimaginative! Couldn't Sydney kill her with the shovel?

My favorites, so far, are The Box Part 2, After 30 Years, Phase One, The Telling, Blowback, Prelude, and Hourglass. And Truth Be Told.

                                      Too many favorites!
