    So, what were your thoughts?

    Mine are, good.

The whole movie storyline was really, very boring, imo. The actress that played the famous actress ( ) was insanely annoying and her character was absolutely horrible! The crazy guy that tried to kill her was okay, but seriously messed up in the head

    Then, why a good?

Because of the Luthers.....and to me, that also includes Lana What an evil bitch she is! Lois making Lex look for Lionel! And, who bought the land? Cause, both Lionel AND Lex have the signatures LL. Also, Maryline was awesome She was cool, did Lionel kill her? If so, aww! It would've been nice for Lana to have an accomplice. But Lana kidnapping Lionel? HELL YES! That was awesome! I loved that! Plus, her transition from evil bitch to "I praise Clark" bitch was amazing! It really showed in the scene where Lionel tried to get away. I also loved the last scene with Lana and Lionel and how Lionel knows it was her! I want more of that

Unfortunately, we got no Kara Oh well, more of her next week

So, yeah, I liked it. Basically, because of Lana. And, I can't believe I just said that.

I actually find Christina Milian likeable enough in general. I didn't like her in the episode because of the character. The actress diva thing's entertaining for awhile, but a little overwhelming or overbearing for me The part where Clark's doing her lines with her cracked me up though. The movie storyline was pretty weak, but that doesn't bother me much. It's not always the stories that make an episode likable for me, as long as there are some good moments. And we did get a little Clexiness! (Ooh, Clark remembered Lex's fanboying over the comics...)

Aww, Chloe's so adorably post-breakup sad. It was really sweet of Clark to get her an interview and Rachel to do it. I'm really sick of hearing about all this Lana/Chloe interaction (like how they've been digging up info together in this one) but not actually seeing it.

Lana (who's also a Luther...and has the initials LL regardless ) and Lionel stuff totally rocks. I love it. That evil smile coming over her face saying she hopes he doesn't go around spreading lies about her (how very Dolores Umbitch.) You know, I usually don't go into SV seasons expecting anything from Lana, because I'd inevitably be disappointed. But I actually had high-ish hopes for her this time around, and what's more, she hasn't really disappointed me yet. A lot of the Clana scenes are making me cringe, but that's pretty much been a reflex for the past 6/7 years

Lois, that barely counts as being back. I wonder if Grant would be giving her so much attention if she wasn't so pretty...or if she was a dude. Just wondering. I do love her sassy little line about him being HER arm candy. Speaking of Grant and him being so obviously connected to the Luthors...I bet (hope) it's Lana. And I just wonder when Clone-a (I'm working on the name, because I don't want to type out Clone Lana all the time ) will come into play...besides that snea-kay Jimmy Olsen version of Lana.
would you do anything for me

so yeah, I liked the episode...a lot of foreshadowing in this ep which breaks my shipper heart - but the stuff about the hero must be alone - and the cape - 1) Clark so won't be able to have Lana for long - and they've as of yet have been stiffing Clana fans with the lack of any romatic episodes...to let them be happy for a minute - is that TOO much to ask? and 2) With the cape, the foreshadowing of this probably being the last season - that Clark can't stay on the farm forever - that he needs to be out in the world to save it - I'm so not ready to say goodbye to this series.

I liked Lois in this eppy, which is a rarity for me...but she seems to finally be coming into true Lois form - which is refreshing.

Lana an evil bitch! How cool....I think she would have some residual evil left-over from the Luthor abuses....I just hope that the show doesn't pull a total cop-out and make her totally evil, without layers like Lex has had all of these years...loved the Lionel/Lana scene in the barn...

Oh and Ben, I got from the episode that Lana was the one who purchased the land...initials LL and all.

This was definitely one of the more enjoyable SV episodes. Yeah the movie storyline was boring and I didn't like seeing Christina Milian on the show but there was plenty of other goodness in this episode.

First off, yay for Lana being such an evil bitch! It almost makes the sappy Clana scenes bearable. I liked how two-faced Lana was in this episode, switching from being all sweet innocent Lana with Clark into manipulative, evil Lana within seconds, especially in the scene in the woods where she hit Lionel with the shovel and then was all sweet to Clark on the phone. And yay for Lionel being back, I missed the Magnificent Bastard! The Lionel/Lana scene in the barn was also very good. I could hardly believe that Lionel would actually try to "save" Lana from her evil ways, from plunging head-on into darkness. Nice try, Lionel, but judging from the way Lana acted in this ep I think that ship was sailed. I also thought it was interesting how Lana kept wearing white shirts in this episode, I guess this was the writers' rather obvious way of showing innocent Lana on the outside so that her inner evilness was all the more shocking.

I also liked how this episode showed parallels between the comic book/movie in this ep and the Superman comic books/Smallville. And of course I applaud the writers for putting such a heavy emphasis on the hero having to be alone in order to fulfill his true potential. I really hope that was foreshadowing to Clana breaking up soon. Hell, even Lana said that she would let Clark go in order for him to save the world. I had to chuckle when they mentioned online forums and blogs in this ep and saying that the fans were not pleased with how storylines got changed in the movie from the comics. Maybe a nice little dig at some of the fans (and I include myself here) who are not happy with where Smallville is going or who don't feel that SV is being true to the Superman comics, especially as far as Lana is concerned. Anyway, this episode gave me hope that a) hopefully Clana will be over soon one way or another and b) that Clark will finally turn into the hero we all know he will become one day.

Oooh yes, that made me squee as well! I truly miss Clex and every tiny Clex tidbit makes me happy! Plus Lex being all geeky with his comics is just adorable!

Oh and I also liked seeing the actor who was in the Supernatural episode "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" in this week's episode (he played the crazy fan), at least I think it was him. Lyn?

I didn't mind Kara's absence in this ep that much but I do hope that she comes back soon.

I was not really interested in the Lois/the editor storyline, they both get on my nerves and I can gladly do without both characters. At least Lois is turning more into a reporter now so I guess that's a good thing. Still not a fan of Erica Durance though.

So overall a rather enjoyable episode!

Totally hooked on SV at the moment. Still trashy, still with its moments of complete idiocy, and it will never be subtle...but it's got me by the short and curlies and I have to keep watching.

Totally! When you know that Lana is keeping secrets of her own (like hitting people with shovels) rather than just being this innocent pwintheth...much more tension in the mix. Enjoying her totally bare faced lies to Clark. Go Evil!Lana!

Lana is a sociopath. This is the proof!

And yay for Lionel being back, I missed the Magnificent Bastard!
Me too! If only Martha was around so we could have some Magnificent Sexual Tension

Nice try, Lionel, but judging from the way Lana acted in this ep I think that ship was sailed.
Speaking of ships, I'd love to see Lana try to seduce Lionel to manipulate him. And he'd see right through her. But sleep with her anyway

I also liked how this episode showed parallels between the comic book/movie in this ep and the Superman comic books/Smallville.
Yeah, I liked all the geek stuff...heavy handed and slightly defensive (oh, poor writers, everyone attacks us...but it's just because you're all obsessive nerds and nothing to do with the fact that we often can't write our way out of a paper bag) as it was. I felt the nutty character was quite sweet in a weird way...the fact that he kept Clark's secret in the end shows that he really was looking for a hero, even if in a murderous way. Crossover fic with him and Andrew, anyone?

Erm, which of course is in no way a geeky suggestion....

hopefully Lionel will unmask her and Clark will dump her, like he dumps all his evil lovers

Though I think they missed the point...people mock smallville's lana, not because she's with Clark, but because she's a self-centred prig with a stick up her arse who somehow always comes up smelling of roses...until now

Oooh yes, that made me squee as well! I truly miss Clex and every tiny Clex tidbit makes me happy! Plus Lex being all geeky with his comics is just adorable!
Now I'm thinking of an Andrew/Lex fic...
