Okay, just thought I'd start the ball rolling... I know Grey's hasn't been hugely dicussed on BF, but here we are, new season, new interns, new residents, new deers... let's see if this thread takes

Episode One: I thought overall it was very good, very fast, very true to itself. I though Meredith was a bitch to her sister, thought the Alex/Crsitina moment was gold, and am super curious about Gizzie- we had heard they were meant to wrap up that storyline, but... they didn't. Not yet.

I'll leave it at that at the moment...

I agree the Alex/Christina scene was great. I also love how Izzie stood up to her interns at the end and called them duds, like they had called her. I am also curious about the Izzie/George thing too; the writers had said that they realized it wasn't the best storyline and didn't see these two together for very long...so what's with all the "I love you?" :/

hmmmm....maybe he's going to tell her he loves her as his best friend, they'll cry and laugh and get it all out and then things can get back to normal...

I love the chemistry the cast has, and I DON'T like George/Izzie paired up romantically...they are much better as best friends. Plus, I miss Alex/Izzie...I thought they could have made a great couple.

I just love Christina...can I just say that? She is so my favorite character. I felt so bad for her when she found out that Burke was gone... And then the adorable scene between her and Alex when Alex offered her the money from his patient's stomach.... That was such a great scene!

So what? Did they fire Isaiah Washington because of the gay remarks? It seems a bit odd that Burke isn't going to be in the show this year, and I'm sorry, but if they did let him go because of that I think it's wrong. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, this is America. Though he was an ass about it, I don't think it's any ground to lose your job.

Ok, but how cute was the end with Derek & Meredith. So we're breaking up. Yup, we're broken up. This is just a break-up kiss. And break-up sex. They're so perfect for each other.

Does anybody else want to just lick McSteamy? I hope they find a nice partner to tame him this season...it'll be fun to watch. How HILARIOUS was his scene with McDreamy! 'I came to Seatle to get YOU back' Yeah, I wish I didn't say it, but I did, so.... GREAT!

Cannot WAIT for next week's eppy... My favorite show on right now....(until Supernatural next week... )

Me too. I think that is my fave ship of the entire series os far. And it just never really went anywhere. It fizzled so fast!

Well, that's the way it appears. But I bet it had more to do with the underlying consequences of his speech. It couldn't have made for a good work environment. I think he was probably let go to maintain the morale of the cast and crew. Perhaps his actions were something that they all couldn't work through. And they had almost an entire season to try and make it work. That fight occurred in the sixth ep of last season.

Yes! I love when writers insert homo-erotic scenes into episodes. Kind of like that great Angel/Spike scene about being intimate "that one time."

          Okay...

Are Derek and Meredith broken up - or what??? I don't want them to break up but I was a little confused. Probably much like the characters themselves. I think they love each other very much but they are so dysfunctional at this point!

I felt so bad for Christina and also for Sandra Oh. I don't know about anybody else but I felt the Burke/Isaiah Washington void. I don't agree with what he did but I do wish he had been given another chance.

And yes - the Alex/Christina moment was great. I love Alex - he's selfish sometime and selfless in others... (BTW - that's a CC quote about Sawyer from LOST...)

          I'm not feeling Gizzie - I haven't felt Gizzie - I hope I feel Gizzie - but I don't think I will feel Gizzie...

However, I did love the George interaction with the new interns at the end.

Was anyone else screaming "Get McVet! Get McVet" during the deer scene?? Or was that just me...?

I loved the Bailey/Callie scene at the end. Shandra is such a great actor! I even love her coffee add!

Seems we are off to a great start this season!!!

I think that the are THE couple of the show and because of that they have to constantly be together only to be broken apart. There has to be conflict and as Whedon fans know, no one can be happy for too long. At least before the story starts to get boring. So I think it is going to be a long, long time before they are together for good. That's just my take on it.

I'm not a big shipper in general, but in this particular show I don't care about who's with who too much. I just like to see how it all happens. Although I really did quite like Alex/Izzie. I kinda miss them. Enough that I wondering when my my mother will return my dvds so I can do a rewatch of parts of s2.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the new episode! I didn't realise that now the gang would be residents with interns of their own. It's going to bring a fresh side to the show watching them adjust to that. Well except poor George! But it was sweet that Lexi (is it Lexi or Lexie?!) kept his secret. I already like her more than Meredith!

I do think Derek and Meredith shouldn't be together. Actually Derek said it best to Mark, what she's been through and why she's not ready for anything. She needs to grow up and get some help. Having watched seasons 1 & 2 again recently I see a lot of the theme for her is how did she become an adult so quickly.. kinda shocking considering how old she is and I think I've been taking responsibility for my actions since I was 16!!! But she's got a lot of growing to do this season and she needs to do that alone. Only then can she appreciate what she actually has in life and maybe then her and Derek will work out.

Izzie was great, funny with her interns, especially at the end calling them the duds! She's in the running for the new Nazi now!

Going to be interesting seeing Christina deal with losing Burke. And Alex and his Rebecca thing, although I found that storyline so boring last year I'd completely forgotten about it /sigh I really hope this season comes back to the original magic they had the first 2 seasons!!

I really hope for no more Gizzi. I'm not generally a Callie fan but George and Izzie is just wrong for me. I did like Izzie and Alex more.

And of course, Bailey rocked so much. I love her scenes with the Chief. I still think she should have been Chief Resident. It's horrible when you get passed over for something you want and then told 'I did it for you'!!!

              Looking forward to next week.

Okay I decided to give Grey's Anatomy another chance and watched the s4 premiere. Sadly, I was not really impressed with this episode. Okay granted, it was better than some of those terrible s3 episodes but there are still way too many things that bug me.

Most importantly, I can't believe that they are continuing with the whole Gizzie thing. Shonda knows exactly that most fans really do not like this storyline and I have read somewhere that Gizzie would be wrapped up by the end of the s4 premiere. Alas, no such luck.

Meredith was as annoying as usual. The whole back and forth between her and Derek just gets on my nerves so much.

Apart from the Gizzie thing, Izzie was a positive surprise in this episode. She was much more likeable in this ep than she has been throughout season 3 so I'm glad that they are trying to rehabilitate her character.

I also loved the conversation between Alex and Christina, that was the highlight of the episode for me! And I loved that Alex went to see Rebecca. Still, I agree with most people here: Alex and Izzie would make a good couple and way better than Gizzie could ever be.

Bailey rocked as usual! I loved her being bitchy to Callie, that was funny!

I deeply disagree. I think the way Isaiah Washington behaved (insulting his co-stars and getting into fights with them, plus not seeing the wrongness of his actions and not apologising and thus creating a very bad atmosphere on the set) is inexcusable and personally it made me very uncomfortable to see him on TV. So I think firing him was the sensible thing to do.

I'm still not sure whether I will continue watching GA or drop it altogether. Maybe I'll watch next week's ep and decide then.

Yeah, I hate Meredith. I really do.

I haven't given up on it because it takes everthing in side me to drop a show I have been watching from the beginning. Season three was mostly a suckfest. But that doesn't mean it can't redeem itself this year, I guess. It wouldn't be the first time a show had a great year after a terrible one.

Although I am glad Katherine Heigl won the Emmy, even though s3 was pretty lame. I've always really liked her and she was probably the best thing about last season.

Also, is it weird that I didn't actually feel the Burke void but I did feel the Addison one? I know that neither would be in the show anymore but I guess I just liked the Addison character more than the Burke one. I dunno.

LOL! Yeah dropping shows is hard but I have done it before and if GA keeps going with the extreme soapyness, then I really will stop watching. On the other hand, you are right, sometimes shows do recover from one bad season.

I couldn't agree more. I love Addison and deeply miss her on GA. I have tried watching the pilot of Private Practice twice now but have stopped every time because it was so boring. Addison was so much better on GA, I'll miss her interactions with McSteamy, Alex and Bailey the most, Addison had great chemistry with these three.

Oh yeah, there is no other character I've hated as much as her. I can't understand why they made the lead of a show so hateable!!

Definitely. Season 1 and 2 were so amazing I will let this season try to redeem itself because there is so much about it that I love.

I'm hoping loads of other people feel that way and PP will be dropped and Addison can come back to GA. I thought she was a really great character and having hated her in the beginning of season 2 she grew to become one of my favourites

Well I'll let the season get a good 1/2 way through before deciding anything. I think a season needs to pick up pace before it can really be judged as a bad season.

I did watch it because happened to like the "pilot" that was in GA. But it has nothing to do with Addison. I don't know why they made a spin-off with her; they could have just made this sow as it is without her even being in the picture.

It's not terrible. It needs some work. But what I do love love about it is Paul Adelstein and Amy Brenneman. Especially Paul. He's so much better than he ever was on Prison Break..and I liked him in that too. He totally steals the show for me and I will probably keep watching for awhile just because there is something about Paul that is siting very right with me. And Amy. Why they didn't just go and make a show about these two is beyond me.

Meredith is a real drain - even to the fans! I feel more frustration with Derekk though than Mere. I want him to give her a break - he knows what she has been living through the past few years with her Mom, he saw what happened when she tried to reach out to her father, and he knows the great demands of being a surgeon and a Dr. So - either love her through the bad and be strong enough to stay even though she pushes him away - or move on.

I missed Addison also - I liked Private Practice - the cast is just a wonderful ensemble!! It has some of the hottest guys - Tim Daly, Taye Diggs and I also just love the Pediatrician!! He is adorable! And Amy Brenneman (sp?) is going to be such a great Mental Health Counselor.

They will need to step up the drama a bit. It's going to be difficult to make that swing from the hustle-bustle, life or death issues that happen in a huge hospital and what happens at a little suburban clinic.

In regards to Christina/Burke... I just loved them as a couple! Out of the pairings on that show they were by far one of the well-matched and well-suited ones. And that's why I felt the Washington void for both Christina and Sandra Oh.

Sandra and Isaiah were fairly good friends off-screen because of their interactions together. She hasn't said too much about the situation that I know of.

It'st regrettable that it happened. And I think if I had a co-worker who said something like that in public in our particular setting he would be fired.

Now if he just stated something to me personally or to some other people in a personal discussion - as long as his job performance was up to par he would still be working. I would still disagree with him but to each his own. Because I do know some of the personal feelings about race and sexual preferences that my co-workers feel and although again - I might not agree with them - it does not interfere with their job performance. And I'm not going to bring it out in public.

But to make such a public spectical would not be acceptable.
