Genesis?

Does anyone know much about this coming 'spin-off' type show? Just wondering if there's much difference between it and Heroes? A prequel?

The only thing I know is that it is supposed to be 6 episodes and that one character from it may end up joining next years Heroes.

Like Lyn said, it's 6 episodes begin aired on NBC as a "spinoff" of Heroes. Each episode is a standalone - it's own individual storyline - that introduces a new character(s). At the end of the 6 episodes (with possibly more), viewers can vote for their favorite hero and decide which will appear on the show when it returns in the Fall.

I'm not entirely sure what the timeline for the spinoff is, though. I'm assuming that it'll take place around the same time as Heroes, if not being set in more recent days, but it's very possible that it'll be set "Six Months Ago" - right when the Heroes first discovered their powers.

And I also heard it was called "Origins." But I dunno if that was a working title or...something else.

Yeah I think it's called 'Origins' because 'Genesis' is the name for Volume 2 of Heroes.

I am pretty excited about this, I mean if it is anything like Heroes then I am sure that it will be just as addicting. I really wanna see some new powers as well, I'm just hoping there are some real original ones.

I am pretty sure that volume two of Heros will be called "Generations". That is what they flashed at the end of the season finale when we saw Hiro go back to ancient Japan. Also it would make sense; there are a lot of unanswered questions about the parents of our "heros". For example what, if any, powers does Nathan and Peter's mother have. Also does Hiro's father have any? Were the stories about the warrior about him, it was my impression that was the case but...
And: Did their parents somehow arrange for them to have powers? They certainly seemed to expect them to have some?
