Apparently, the big thing with Chuck and Morgan was some shot for shot homage to a scene from the O.C., including the song. I think that alone is hysterical. I still love Captain Awesome, still love Elie, LOVED, LOVED the sandworm costume.

    I want a sandworm costume

The MOTW didn't do all that much for me -- I find the in-store comedy more intriguing than the spy stuff most of the time. Does Anna really have the hots for Morgan, or is she just, y'know, insane?

I agree! the BuyMore (and home scenes) are my favorite part of the show. But I'm sure I'd get bored quickly without the spy storyline.

Anna has the hots for Morgan? I missed that. I would have went with the insane option. The whole nerd herd rules.

Excellent then, I'm not insane. Because I instantly knew that I had heard the song before and was strangely thinking that scene. As well as the way Chuck pushes people out of the way was as movingly shot as how I remember Ryan trying to move through the ocean of people.

I'm glad that if the OC had to be canceled at least it meant Chuck got made.

And LMAO at them with the Dune sandworm costume that they had been using for years!!! I love their unadulterated geekery!

      Lydia made the punch!

I've really been enjoying this show, it makes me laugh and entertains me in a light way. I watch so many high drama shows, it's nice to watch something that is just funny and entertaining every once in a while.

No it's not just you, I instantly recognised that song and loved that Josh Schwartz used it again in one of his shows. It made me a bit nostalgic for the OC though.

The Chuck/Morgan reuniting scene was great anyway, I was even a little bit moved by it.

I loved how Captain Awesome showed Morgan how to dress and behave like a real man, that was hilarious!

Oh and the last scene had me in tears with laughter! The look on Adam Baldwin's face as Chuck and Morgan started talking about roastbeef was just to die for!

I KNOW! That had me in stitches!

I totally loved the space-penis! This show is so my favorite because it is so fall-down on the floor hysterical!

I think the scenes in the Buy-More are always my favorite...they are so comical...and Captain Awesome is a fabulous name that ranks right up there with McDreamy and McSteamy!

It is! It was that sequence in The OC that prompted me to seek it out. It is Finley Quaye (feauting Beth Orton) "Dice."

And it truly is a gorgeous song. I couldn't help thinking while watching that scene in this past episode that Josh Schwartz was half-mocking that OC scene by using it in a man-love way here.

              Wow. I love Chuck

I just saw the last two episodes for the first time and loved them! I think the second might be my favorite of them all, although I love Me Linge (or something).

I loved the dealing with trust thing they had. But, it's also nice to have this splash of comedy! I loved the whole Sizzling Shrimp thing

Buy More scenes are always the best! I loved the sales competition so much, by the way. But I hate the idea of Elle/Morgan

The roastbeef thing was ROFL! Adam Baldwin just rules!

So, I actually REALLY liked this story this week. The whole government is bad/trust issue was great, and I loved how Chuck figured it out. It's really also becoming very good drama.

Next week looks SO good! Backstory is always fun

Uh..bu-huh...just..ugh. Wha? no, no...I'm just kidding. But I absolutely adore them. Not that I believe that they'd ever be a serious couple or anything, or that Ellie would ever seriously want to hook up with Morgan. I just LOVE Morgan. And I find his, um, crush on her very adorable in a way (and hilarious). And I love the scenes between them. And I agree with what Lyn said, about her not actually liking Morgan per se...more that she cares about him because Chuck does...Of course, if anything ever did seriously (or hilariously ) happen I would die from squealing and jumping around so much.

She has Awesome, though... don't think Morgan's going to break through that. I don't think we're really even meant to think of it -- he jokes with Chuck about Elie, and Elie is clearly in on the joke. Morgan doesn't look embarassed and Elie doesn't look creeped out when she catches him planning their wedding.

Good for Morgan, though -- I'm *still* not a tucker unless I'm forced to tuck.

I think Captain Awesome is too good to be true and sooner or later Morgan's going to have his chaaaaaAAAnce!!!

I like Ellie/Morgan a lot. I guess I've always been a sucker for geek/hot girl pairings. But I really like the internal dynamic of Morgan openly and innocently rambling while she shuts him down. Though when out in the "real world" of the BuyMore, I loved that she was "on Morgan's team" rather than willing to mock him like everyone else.

Oh and I too loved Chuck standing up for Morgan and being a thorn in Casey's side by bringing up the sandwich on a deserted island. Adam Baldwin simply rules with the subtle range of facial expressions.

I knew you'd have my back on OC scenes! And that song ruled so much I almost arted it but ended up going with the Seth/Summer piece, because lets face it...they are awesome.

Oh yes I forgot to mention that. Ellie helping out Morgan the way she did was really great! She really has such a good heart. I also love the traditions that Chuck and Ellie have together!

So I watched the new Chuck episode tonight and absolutely loved it! I'm digging this show more and more.

I love that we found out what really happened to Chuck in Stanford and that Bryce was really trying to save him, that's just aww! Plus it was great to see Bryce again because that guy is seriously hot.

Morgan standing up to annoying Harry was awesome. I also loved the bit where Morgan and that other nerd herder (his name escapes me at the moment) did that TV show guessing contest, that looked like so much fun. Plus I had to laugh when they mentioned the O.C. and the exact season of it.

The scene where Chuck called all the CIA operatives on the Stanford campus was hilarious as well!

I gotta love Josh Schwartz for his excellent taste in music! I mean, The Fratellis and Oasis songs and "Drama Queen" by Switches all in one episode? F*cking awesome!

So I can't wait to see how this show develops and hope that the writer's strike won't put a damper on things. Because Chuck is definitely one of the funniest shows I have seen in a while!

I know! It looked so fun!! I'm suck a geek. (Not a nerd. )

I also like that how he called the OC and then said "totally underrated." Way to slip some ego into your new show, Josh!

It was a good ep. I missed Adam. There wasn't enough of him, imo.

That scene was so hilarious. I wished it had lasted longer and with more obscure shows, too bad Harry interrupted it! I have to say that I usually prefer the Buy More scenes and the whole dynamics between the employees a tiny bit over the whole spy stuff, the humor in those scenes is just the right mixture of absurd and realistic. LOL

I was squeeing at the return of Bryce and that his motivation for getting Chuck fired out of Stanford was cleared of viciousness. Too bad that it looks now as if we won't get to see him again though. /sigh

I have to say that as a long time Everquest player I was of course totally delighted at the end scence. Yep, even girls play computergames, I know it's shocking really!

The show is really developing nicely, love the siblings dynamics and the light-heartedness of the show. I'd really be sad if it was hit by the whole writer's strike. I hope that gets resolved soon.

Oi! I totally missed the underrated comment! I was too busy laughing! I loved when they stalled on Smallville, I was like c'mon!!! How many farm shows are there?!

I loved the one remote to rule them all as Lord Tang ascended to the top of the tower! My parents and I were in stitches.

That was utterly sweet that Bryce did it to save Chuck. Maybe not the fairest thing to not let Chuck decide. But I enjoy that show wants to emphasize that Chuck's identity as a person is more important than any natural skills or military information he possesses. *wraps herself up in blankets of awwwww*

Oh yes, not enough Adam. And he looked particularly dashing out of the BuyMore green and in a sexy dark coat!

                                  Lydia made the punch!

Does anyone else wonder if Jill is part of the Bryce and CIA conspiracy? We never saw her in the latest episode with the Stanford flashbacks, but I find it odd why Bryce would steal Chuck's girlfriend if he cared for him as much as this episode made out, so I reckon there's still some story behind this that they're going to have to reveal. Like perhaps Bryce and Jill being an item was just a 'cover story' and that was why Bryce had to do it, but couldn't tell Chuck? Up until now, I always figured it seemed like something Bryce would do if he got his best friend kicked out of college, but now it seems out of character for Bryce, so I'm just wondering what really went on there. Hope we get some answers on that some time!

Anyway the last episode was nothing short of awesome again, I had wished for some Bryce flashbacks and I got some, although I was totally disappointed it wasn't any CIA flashbacks with some more mad-skills that we saw in the pilot - who knows maybe more of them to come?

The tv show game was just classic, I was sitting trying to see how many I could get too, yeah, I know, I'm a geek, I can't help it, ;-) And Harry Tang was fab in this episode, I loved his shift right into control-freak-mode that we all knew was coming, and his personal attack on Morgan had me giggling.

I am really loving the show as whole, the buy more scenes and the spy ones, I think it has a great mixture between the two and balances it really well; and I really do hope to see this show continue and not vanish from our tellies, *fingers crossed* the strike gets sorted soon and all our tv shows will be safe.

Ooh, nice theory. I think it could work. I also thought that there must be more to the Jill storyline too.

This past ep "Chuck Vs. the Truth" was my favorite to date. It was both funny and dramatic and balanced the two so well! And Kevin Weisman! How awesome to seem again. Man, he had some moves!!! Rachel Bilson wasn't bad or distracting as I feared she might be. She fit in pretty well. All the truth serum stuff was really fun. Seriously, best ep yet!!

Second, your not supposed to be traumatized by Rachel Bilson. I just meant that I wasn't sure she would fit into the show. Maybe I should have worded that better. But it seems it worked out fine! She is actually quite endearing on The OC...after her suer bitchiness of the first half of the first season of course.
