  • Do you remember "Forever Knight"?

I love the vampire genre movies and TV Shows!! I've always loved Dracula and was a big fan of the Saturday afternoon "Scary Movies" the ones with Bella Lagosi and Lon Cheney.

In the early 1990's there was a great series called "Forever Knight". It was a Canadian-born series and was GREAT!

Alas it only lasted 3 seasons. I've recently rediscovered them because Walmart had them out on DVD!!! WOOHOO!!

I remember the first time I saw Angel and how many similarities it had with "Forever Knight". And it also seems FK and Ats will have a lot of influence on the new show "Moonlight".

    In FK:

Nick is a detective in the Police Dept. - Nick is a detective in "Moonlight" and Angel was a detective.

Nick drives an old '62 Cadillac - Angel drives an old Chevy ('62 Plymouthaccording to Nile!! Thanks Nile!!) I do believe - not sure what year. Not sure about Nick in Moonlight. - Nick drives a classic as well - waiting on make and model!!!!
Nick's partner in the second season is replaced with a woman whose father was also on the police dept. - Kate who is a detective in Angel has a father who was on the police force. Nick from Moonlight has a friendship/romance with a woman who is an Internet Police Investigator.

These are just some of the similarities between the 3 shows.

FK had an interesting way of referring back to Nicholas's past and his current cases.

Angel did that to a small extent but created it's on uniqueness by the team fighing demons and monsters which was probably influenced alot by Buffy.

I'm sure Moonlight will have a "twist" all it's own as well.

Does anyone remember "Forever Knight"? And what is it about these vampire detective shows that make us love to watch?

P.S. I posted about the "Moonlight" show here: https://www.buffyforums.net/showthread.php?t=1275
to keep down from getting into the new show. This is more for FK and it's generation of Vampire Detective shows.

First Came Forever Knight then came Angel then came...

      Thanks Nile!!!

And to continue with the old car and comparisons between our 3 vampire shows - Knick St. John drives an "old Classic" as well!!!

I haven't gotten a good look at it - they seem to want us to know it's old - as a "tease" but won't let us know the make and model!!! Looks like something from the '50's. (cross-discussion with Moonlight https://www.buffyforums.net/sh...0&postcount=13)
