Sounds pretty good. It looks like Faith will be going undercover for it. The Faith arc is setting up to be really good.

Can't wait. I like the idea of FAith + scary posh woman. Good dynamic (like her with that fake watcher). Hate getting info this far in advance though, makes the waiting far far worse!

Yeah I had to go onto Whedon Info myself and look at them, the variant cover sucks IMO but the original cover is amazing!

If Faith only now really begins her mission in Issue 7 then I am guessing Issue 6 revolves around Giles convincing her to come with him, and learning what she's been doing in Cleveland.

I went onto Darkhorse today and realised I could now pre-order this item. So I clicked on the link to go to Tfaw.com to order it and it is already out of stock It never usually goes this fast, does anyone else think this is a mistake? Seeing that you can still pre order Issue 5 and Issue 6.. it seems odd Issue 7 which doesn't come out until October has already been sold out.

This mission will either bring the Faith character to her closure or make her realise that she has a purpose and a reason to Slay. I'm personally unsure on what it will bring.

Buffy and the scoobies will be part of this story arc, but Faith will be the focus. I don't know if she really is going to retire or not. Part of me worries that Giles might mean to *retire* her. That's not even real speculation, I just don't like his expression on that cover.

I think I have an idea what might happen in this arc, I'm putting it in spoiler tags because I'm referring to future threads. Giles recruits Faith to kill someone that Buffy is already trying to stop a different way; Buffy finds out and assumes that Faith is going bad for some reason and tries to fight her; Faith has to fight Buffy to maintain her own cover and secure what Giles has promised her, and Buffy can't blow the cover of the other Slayer; Buffy finds out what Giles has been up to and she, Faith, and the other Slayer figure out how to sort out Lady Genevieve Savidge, and hopefully somebody does something about Ripper.

I think either Amber is right and it's Buffy, Satsu, and Faith on the variant cover, or it's Faith and two Slayers that we haven't met yet.

hmm... "retire" was used in the movie bladerunner as another word for exterminate. we do know joss likes to borrow from all over the place. heck, serenity/firefly's biggest influences were probably star wars (mal = han) and bladerunner (chinese future world).

then again, retire could just mean giving up the duty... but that doesn't make for good drama with faith. i'm thinking it's the exterminate definition.

and that's definitely, imo, buffy, satsu and faith. smg's nose is a dead giveaway. it looks like the art is mostly reverting her appearance to the high school years again. smg's breasts haven't been that big since then and they are drawing her with sort of the pouty baby fat appearance that she used to have in the first 3 seasons.

The girl in the middle actually looks like Lady Genevieve to me.. which would make everything more confusing. The other one is definetly Buffy though.

I agree with Nostalgia, I think it's Buffy, Faith, and Gigi. Remember, Satsu has brown eyes, and they are differently shaped. Hair color is the same though. This arc is shaping up to be amazing.
