I buy both. I actually use the comic issues to read and the TPBs just to have and put at the end of my Buffy DVDs.

I buy the issues, cause I need to read them as soon as they hit the stands. I don't buy the trade paperbacks because by the time of their release, I've read the issues 50 times by then and don't really see the necessity in buying them. Although, they are pretty good-looking, so I'm considering otherwise. I like the idea of not reading ads every other page....sigpic

I didn't even realise the TPB's were commercial-less, I think I may be needing to buy them even more than I originally thought..
Although I think the commercials add some kind of cliffhanger because usually before them something fairly large sized occurs, but it's only temporary, not like end-of-issue-cliffhangery.sigpic

I get both. The comics i have to get to know whats going on and the TPB's are just good to have. The TPB's are way better cuz they don't have all the crappy advertisements and look fantastic, but the individual comics are good to have as a keepsake once they're in plastic covers (which you can get for dirt cheap at most comics stores). But i will still get both! It's Buffy, and that says it all!
