Hey, this is just a tiny threat that'll be shortlived til the release of "Wolves at the Gate, Part 3", but I was wondering what people are speculating as to how Giant Dawn will get to Tokyo. From 3.12 we know that she's still in Scotland, so how will she Godzilla Tokyo then?

Do we even know they'll take her to Tokyo?I mean what would she be able to accomplish being gigantic? It is sort of hard to hide something that big in a place that is that cramped. Disregarding the fact that she might not be taken, I'll have to say magic as a means of transportation. Maybe she'll be able to fly there kind of like Willow only she'll look more like Falkor the luckdragon on The Never Ending Story. That would be awesome! *nods*

In my head, she uses two giant cruiseliners like waterskis and gets accross the oceans that way.
But maybe it'll be more of a magical transportation solution. Heh, maybe Willow will give her wings as a temporary measure? Giant winged Dawn would be pretty good fun.

Realistically, to walk, swim, fly, or take a ship, Dawn would have had to have left before the arc started. Therefore, she's either on that C-5 somewhere, laying on her back on a lower deck, or she's getting teleported in.
I think the major function she'll be needed for is to destroy the disk thingy on top of the building, because the Slayers can't get close to it without risking their powers.sigpic

Isn't it obvious? Dawn will have to climb up the outside of the skyscraper to reach that giant disk thing and smash it, while all the time Kumiko the Flying Witch Vampire is buzzing around her head trying to attack her and knock her down.
Bonus points if she's carrying Buffy in one hand as she climbs.
(As for getting to Japan: a C-5 can carry 120 tons payload so Dawn shouldn't be a problem, assuming she can squeeze inside the thing. But my money's on magic. Whrther the magic is used by Willow or Kumiko is an open question, though...)

Judging from the cover of 8.14, I think she gets there by her own means, I don't think she's actually meant to be there because in 8.13, Buffy, Willow and the other slayers have flown to Tokyo without mentioning she'd be joining them.
Unless Buffy's told Xander that he should bring her along after he gets back, but I don't think that's likely.
But in response to your question, I think Dawn will get there in her own way, basically running across the UK, and swimming all the way till she's get there. It's quite unlikely though.sigpic

I really hope they didn't just stuff Dawn into the luggage compartment below. I vote for some kind of magic.

it would take her about 7 days if she traveled at our equivalent of 4 miles an hour (about 36-37 mph, assuming she's 50 feet tall) from scotland to tokyo, japan.
hopefully, she'd take the scenic european countryside / siberia route and not the one through all the major cities and mountain ranges. stick to scaring some villagers out in the sticks.
or magic.
