Well in a recent Scott Allie interview he gave a general outline for the final writers and artists for the rest of S8, kinda scary when I realize that there isn't really all that many arcs left from the looks of things. After Wolves, Joss is doing an arc with Fray. After that one of my all time favorite (and sometimes least favorite) writers, Jeph Loeb is going to be doing issue 20, then according to Allie we get a mishmash of writers for 21-30. 31-35 (at least four of them anyway) will be done by Brad Meltzer, and the last five issues will be written by Joss.
The interview is here:
The Breakdown:
#1-5 Joss Whedon
#6-9 Brian K. Vaughan
#10-11 Joss Whedon
#12-15 Drew Goddard
#16-19 Joss Whedon
#20 Jeph Loeb
#21-30 A combination of Jane Espenson, Doug Petrie, Drew Greenberg, Jim Krueger and one other TBD
#31-35 Brad Meltzer (four or all five issues TBD)
#36-40 Joss Whedon
21-30 will have one arc that is several single issues by different writers, Jane, Doug, Drew, and Jim will each be writing one issue. This makes me think that we have another arc in there as well. Joss also said that 21 would really shake things up.
Kinda crazy that it looks like we really only have 4 arcs left after this one.
