  • Best Comic Artist

We've had 3 artists presently: series' regular Georges Jeanty, guests Paul Lee ("The Chain) and Richard Cliff ("Anywhere But Here"). Which were you most satisfied with?

Me? Georges Jeanty. I wasn't necessarily pleased with him initially. But I've more than settled with him. I love his work. I think he has Willow, Giles and Xander down pat. I am in love with his work. I'm not sure how the procedure works with the inking work since it's Andy Owens who's done all of the issues as well of Dave Stewart who's done all of the colouring. I don't know if anyone has noticed the differed inking between "Anywhere but Here" and all of the issues, but anyhow I prefer the inking in Jeanty's works. It's smother. My only complaint with Jeanty is the characterization of Buffy, Dawn and Faith. It's off in most instance, but I've grown with it through issues. So my 5 stars go to him despite of it.

I like Jeanty. I know a lot of people have problems with his drawings but personally I think out of the three artists we've had, he easily wins hands down at conveying emotions in the character's faces. They feel more 'alive' to me when he illustrates.

I like Georges Jeanty. Like vampmogs said, I think he's the best at conveying facial expressions, which is the most important aspect of the illustrations in my mind. His likenesses are pretty good too, my only problem with him is that sometimes his characters look younger than they should.

I feel he's improving as he goes along though. He gets my vote.
