What is Twilight?

Instead of asking who Twilight is (cause let's face it, there's little given about him to support any theory), I was wondering what people thought he was.

I really do think it's not coincidence that we've had the word "nisanti" spoken from the Twilight 'guidebook' a couple times, or that one of his powers appears to be 'walking on air'. I think that they are lifting Vaughan's "Hood" character and canonizing parts of it into the Buffyverse, and that Twilight's powers work under the same theory -- the cloak and the boots.

If that's the case, then according to this character description, we can expect that Twilight is A) human, B) has mystical powers bestowed by artifacts (boots, possibly his cloak/overcoat or even the mask), and C) that those powers include 'walking on air', turning invisible when holding his breath (which is totally cool), and possibly some kind of lightning bursts from his hands.

Given what we've gotten of his intellect and personality, that kind of power, and the sort of fighting skill enough to take down Buffy in a first meeting, make him the biggest badass villain they've had yet that isn't a hottie hellgod named Glory.
