  • Kennedy Like? Dislike? or Impartial

I was just wondering what do people think of Kennedy?

    Personally-not a big fan

Statisticly when a survey was done by a magazine they found out in season 7 the dislikability of a episode was directly linked with Kennedy's lines.

I didnt like Kennedy...I loved kennedy. She was attractive, Strong minded, Took charge when needed, and always spoke her mind and was just general fun to watch. I Loved the relationship with Willow but the only problem I ever had with her is the "Mutiny scene" where she spoke against Buffy, and I dont think she shouldve.

I really don't like her. I mean the first time through when I watched it on tv I didn't really have an opinion of her. I seemed to dislike all the Potentials at once but never really hated her UNTIL the dvd's. My god was she irritating. Especially when she would think she's all bad ass and can boss people around or think she know's better than Buffy. I'm always like, who the hell are you to be saying s**t?! Play follow the leader 'cause you sure as hell aren't the leader.

It's nice to see a different opinion on kennedy.

She was all that you say although I think the word you might be looking for is bratty. She even admits it.

I'm a bit defensive towards her though, as I think she came to soon after Tara's death with which Willow was still coming to terms.

I disliked her. She was the rebound girl done wrong. She was the opposite of Tara; bratty, a jerk, etc. IMO, it doesn't seem logical Willow would fall for her. Kennedy kinda chose Willow and pushed herself into her life. I really dislike her. She's just another stupid potential, in my mind, who was completely unnecessary.

You should have put a 'Truely HATE' option. Who did she think she was.
Yelling orders at people and trying to act like she's got a clue.
I just wish Buffy slapped her.
(im still glad she was in the s7 though)

Dislike. Love a strong female character but I'll take one like Buffy over Kennedy's type, who seemed to only have two characteristics when not interacting with Willow, overbearing and bratty. Now, given her rich background I'm sure the bratty attitude was on purpose, and had she been introduced sooner in the series I'm sure would have grown over time and then I could have grown to like her, but as we saw her, couldn't stand her.

I always kinda liked Kennedy. But, then, I'm in the very small minority that never much cared for Tara, so Willow getting together with Tara's opposite never bothered me.

I didn't jump. I took a tiny step, and there conclusions were.

I'm on the fence with Kennedy sometimes I like her and sometimes she gets on my ever lasting nerves. I think she's was bad for Willow and think Willow should have went back to guys. Kennedy was a brat at points and wouldnt shut up, but I really cant say if I hate her or not.

I liked her a lot. She was hot, fun, and very different from pretty much everyone else on the show. If Buffy had gone on for two more seasons, I think people would've warmed up to her as they did to Tara. More than anything, she's a victim of bad timing.

Closer than I thought... can someone who really likes her explain in detail why she should not be spurned and hated? After all she's on buffy, and there are no un-complex characters on buffy. Because Joss Wrote it

I'm okay with her as a character. She was needed in that group, the girl who stood up and wanted to fight. It was the forced relationship with Willow that makes her a problem. It felt forced and she got too much screentime.

When i saw her in the garden, shouting orders at the potentials, acting like the boss and telling that girl to ''Drop and give me 20''... i wanted to kill her. Just who does she think she is.

Didn't the girl Kennedy called a "maggot" commit suicide afterwards?

I doubt that was because she got called a maggot though.

Gladly. You see out of all the potentials there was actually something about Kennedy. She wasn't always well behaved, she was capable of being bratty to a legendary level and if she has a future with Buffy and co (and especially a future with Willow) then she need to learn a hell of a lot of hard lessons very quickly.

But whereas I some times confuse pretty much all the other potentials with each other Kennedy actually had a character that was well developed an different. She wasn't a clone, she wasn't strictly vanilla, was Kennedy.

Tara never made all that much impression on me as a character i'm afraid to say and that's probably because she's too nice. Kennedy is forceful opinionated, has misguided confidence and reacts to authority badly but she's interesting and she adds spice to the season for me. Another nicer charcter would have felt like they were getting rid of Tara to ship in another Tara with Kennedy we got something different

Oh, and the maggot comment was not what caused the suicide, that was the First. Kennedy's comment might have been wrong and i'm sure the First used it but i don't think you can put her death at Kennedy's door.

Fair enough though I wasn't really blaming her. More subtly suggesting that she had something to do with it.
