  • Episodes you skip?

Not just have a general vague dislike for, but actively seek to NOT watch by skipping, when doing a marathon or whatever...?

I skip 'Superstar'. Can't stand it. I'm not sure why, I don't hate the premise, but the episode itself I have zero interest in...

"Superstar" is a good character study of Jonathan and has some very funny lines, so I watch that. I skip "Him", which I find eminently cringeworthy.

Go Fish! Hate that ep, really, really hate it.

It's so skipable too because, for me, it slows down the whole end of the season. The momentum is better if you just go from IOHEFY the pace is actually better.

When I'm doing a "full watch" I skip nothing. But when I'm not, I'd skip "Beer Bad," "Superstar," "Gingerbread," "Doublemeat Palace," "Him," "The Puppet Show," "Some Assembly Required," "Inca Mummy Girl," "Gone," some other stuff, and sometimes Season One (lol).

Teacher's Pet - One of the worst ever.
(nearly Angel - just for Buffy thinking she's in love after being around Angel for a total of 30 minutes. Saved by Darla with guns.)
(nearly I, Robot... You, Jane - A void of nothingness except for Buffy and Giles' nukes argument.)
Nightmares - Terrible plot, with nearly no insight into the actual characters and no lasting effects.
(nearly Some Assembly Required - It's always those evil football players...)
Reptile Boy - And the Moral Of The Story (tm) is...
Lie to Me - Same. Plus Angel is on the screen way too much.
(nearly The Dark Age - Seasons 2-4 we have a Designated Giles Episode. This was the first and worst.)
          Ted - See Reptile Boy.
Bad Eggs - Mind-controlling eggs. It gets no worse than this. Even I Robot, You Jane was a tiny bit fun to watch at one point.
Killed by Death - Woohoo for random siblings we've never heard of and even lamer villains!
Go Fish - See Reptile Boy.
Beauty and the Beasts - More people we've never heard of, and another Life Lesson.
Amends - The magical plot device fairies hate you, Joss.
Living Conditions - Do I need a reason?
          Beer Bad - Pointless.
(nearly Wild at Heart - The angst gets old after a few watchings, and Oz was best as the witty, loyal guy.)
(nearly A New Man - Giles already had an arc. It's only saved by Giles getting out of the car to scare Professor Walsh.)
(nearly WTWTA - See Reptile Boy. Saved by all the Scoobies trying to get help, which was hilarious.)
(nearly Shadow - An entire episode of people making fun of Riley. It gets old. Plus, Joyce's arc never really drew me in. Saved by the "She's not mine, is she" line.)
Crush - destroys the whole "Spike is pretty much a good guy in late season 5" theory, which I like because of what happens in The Gift.
Wrecked - Drugs are Bad. (tm)
Doublemeat Palace - Unnerving. Should be put somewhere in seasons 1-2, where all the bad filler is.
(nearly Normal Again - for the huge retcon)
(nearly Beneath You - Terrible demon. Saved by Dawn's comment about Spike waking up on fire.)
(nearly Help - Pointless. Saved by Dawn and Amanda scenes.)
(nearly First Date - Another pointless one, saved by Core Four scene, Buffy scenes with Wood, and recording the First.)
Lies My Parents Told Me - Don't get me started on this one.
Buffy: It sounds like it's difficult for you. Maybe your sister makes it hard for you to establish your own identity. You said she's controlling, she doesn't let you make your own decisions -
Dawn: Yeah, and she borrows my clothes without asking.

I never skip an episode and I always go for a "full watch".
What I love in a TV show is evolution, BtVS worked amazingly in this area, the more eps I see, the more the evolution is important, plus every episode has at least one good part.

I only rewatch the first three seasons, and I never skip an episode. But I skip scenes, sometimes I watch just one scene of an episode. But I never skip a whole episode.

OMG I'm going through my series run now and I soooooo wanted to skip Inca Mummy Girl. I hate that episode with a passion! I was perfectly fine through IRYJ and Teacher's Pet but it's Inca Mummy Girl that I can't stand. I tried getting through it twice actually and the first time I had to go so I turned it off and then the second time it was playing while I was walking around the house doing housework. I can't even sit through it it's that bad. The other episode that will do this to me has already been stated, Superstar. I've probably only watched it once or twice (same as Inca) completely and haven't wanted to witness the wreck again. I don't like Jonathan that much to dedicate an entire episode around him I'm sorry.

You take the bad with the good, I mean, if I wanted to skip the bad I would watch one or two episodes in season 4 and then skip the rest, but like I said, you take the bad with the good.

Wow you guys are skipping some good episodes.. like The Witch, Teachers Pet, I Robot You Jane, Inca Mummy Girl, Reptile Boy.. Bad Eggs is pretty bad but I love when Xander tells Buffy to be careful then falls over. Go Fish (Purely for Xander naked-ish, Buffy beating up a jock, and Johnathan), Doublemeat Palace, Him, Killer in Me. Oh and Gingerbread rocks!

Ones I might skip would be.. the invisible girl episode from season 1. Some Assembly Required.. but Cordelia is funny. Anne.. Beauty and the Beasts, Choices. Always, always, always skip Goodbye Iowa.. don't think I've seen it again since it aired. Real Me.. but it's not that bad.. just so much Dawn. Most of season six.. bar the handful of good episodes.. although it isn't a bad season, just not for me. Think I enjoyed all of seven.

Well I always skip Beer Bad, and usually Fear, Itself as well (I watched it recently to give it another chance...still disliked it!), and when I was rewatching season 3 to give it another chance I couldn't make it through the entire Zeppo episode, let alone go through Choices again...so those as well!
Promise that you'll return to me.

Yes about The Zeppo. I just went through that disc today and I didn't even watch the episode. It was just background noise for me. I think it's funny how so many people hate Beer Bad. I really like it to tell you the truth. It's fun and light hearted. I don't watch it too often but when I go through that disc I always watch it. Mostly to see Buffy hit Parker 'cause man he deserved it.

"Gingerbread" is the worst serious episode of the series. "Beer Bad" is the worst overall. I didn't think there were "Gingerbread" fans out there!

*stands up slowly as if in AA* My name is holypotatoes and I too am a Gingerbread fan. It has that escence of cheese that is needed sometimes. It was a good concept. I especially like MOO and when Joyce and Mrs. Rosenberg are talking about how they should do this again sometime and have lunch. Come on that's funny. As for Beer Bad being the worst overall, there's a few others that easily overtake that position.

I loved Season 1 of the show. It was so light hearted and innocent then. Not something you get a heck of a lot from then on.

I don't really like to skip anything. I guess that's just me, I like all of it.

That's an unusual choice, I think. When I was watching for the first time ever I though the premise sounded dumb, and wanted to skip it, but my friend who was watching with me convinced me to watch it... I was renting the discs from the video store at that stage and I think I watched it in total at least four times before my week was up and I had to return them!!!

OMWF is probably the major one - it's like having my teeth drilled.

What else...episodes where the Troika feature heavily; Beer Bad, Superstar, Hell's Bells, Normal Again, Listening to Fear, Older and Far Away...and much of season 7.

Ive never skipped an ep during a full watch of the season but I will next time round lol. Im gonna miss out 'The Puppet Show' and 'All the Way', I just dont like them much. I do love the fight scene in 'All the Way' but overall I dont enjoy watching Dawn run around with Joan of Arcadia :P
