    Okay -

So, this is a totally "Fluffy Buffy" thread!

I was watching Season One episodes and noticed the clothes the characters were wearing. (Probably the scene where Buffy's trying to pick out something to wear on her date with Owen and chose - *gasp* the gold Lurex dress - YIKES! What? I notice these things... Whatever. )

It made me think of all the Season's Fashions and wondered which were my favorites? Or what outfits were my favorites? I know - I told you - Fluffy Buffy - but I thought it would be FUN!

So - this is for all the Fashionistas and Fashionistos (let's be fair!):

-What Season's Fashions do you like best?? (Include S8 if you want!!)
    -What Episode(s)
-Which character(s)? (Guy's and Vamps too!)
    -What Outfit?

    C'mon - Have some FUN!!

I don't think there's one particular season that I think had the best clothes. I guess if I had to choose it would be Season 7. Remember that guys cause that's one of the only things the season had going for it. I like Buffy as the grown up wearing dress pants and such. I love dress pants and dress suits mostly because I'm not a dress kind of girl. There's a pair of dress pants/slacks (whichever you prefer) Buffy is wearing in Potential when she tells the potentials that they're all gonna die. I've been looking for them forever now. It has like a belt/strap thing but it doesn't go all the way around. Here: http://www.screencap-paradise.com/ca...bum=142&page=3 My favorite episode with the best clothes has to be Bad Girls (at least I think it was Bad Girls whenever Buffy went and confronted Faith). It's Buffy's Jackie O look at the end that makes it the best clothing episode. The Jackie O look is my favorite out of all the characters looks. As you might tell already Buffy is my most stylish character. She had the best clothes. One of my favorite outfits was probably the most simple out of them all. During First Date when Buffy and Anya are trying to get the stain out of Buffy's shirt, Buffy's wearing jeans and a tank top but it is just the cutest outfit.

I think S6 was my favorite style of dress for the girls...I really liked what Buffy was wearing in Smashed - the pretty lacy top with the long skirt and then the casual denim jacket with it...I don't know why but that outfit has always stood out to me.

I also liked the way Willow dressed in Season 6. Especially the outfit she was wearing in Tabula Rasa. And since it's so close together with Smashed, I guess mid season 6 was my favorite.

There's also another outfit buffy wore in Lessons that I loved. That cream colored top that had ruffled out from the waist to the hips, and then the low riding hipster tan pants. I always thought that outift was very flattering to her rather boyish figure in a feminine way.

I was really drawn to Buffy's wardrobe in Season 4 when she went to college. I loved all the skirts and sandals.

Willow had some funky outfits too! And I liked the ribbony chokers she wore with them (I like chokers...)

Season 6 and 7 are also favorites for Buffy. In S6 it was black - to match the darkness she was feeling. Also - lots of tight jeans! And that was a great season for coats! Loved the one at the beginning of the S6 where she meets Spike at the museum. And then later the yellow one she wore and got grass-stained. I always fuss from the side-lines when that scene comes up!! Because it was a really nice coat!

And the scene where she steps outside so as not to here the arguing that's going on and crushes Spike's cigarette out?? LOVE those boots! They are the best!

And even though it's the saddest scene to me - the outfit she wears when she breaks up with Spike in AYW is so nice. It's frilly, romantic and has a hint of the poetic.
        Front - http://www.screencap-paradise.com/ca...230&fullsize=1
        Back - http://www.screencap-paradise.com/ca...235&fullsize=1

Season 7 - just the opposite. Notice the amount of white she wears! Purity, absolution of sin!! The outfit she takes Dawn to school in is very mature and grown-up - classy. (I searched for pants like those!)http://www.screencap-paradise.com/ca...362&fullsize=1

Also the top she is wearing in Beneath You when Spike - speaking of - I always liked the blue *tight* shirt *sigh* - makes an appearance at her house for the first time after she knows he's back is really cute. Again, love the necklace worn as a choker.

Now someone who always got my attention in the wardrobe department was Anya! She had some of the prettiest dresses in S6 when she was working at the store. And in S7 - Emma had lost quite a bit of weight and looked really sexy in jeans and tops! There is a backless sweater - I think it's in S7 I would LOVE to have! (I'm still looking for a cap of it...)

Anya's top from OMWF - the butterfly one is a favorite of mine - because I really like butterflies. And in the next episode - Dawn is wearing a cute butterfly t-shirt I like.

And of course anything leathery that Buffy's in!

THOSE ARE THE PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly I haven't been able to find a pair like that ever. I've found one's with a tiny strap about an inch and a half thick and I'm like, no! It needs to be fatter/thicker. Season 7 was the best season for pants on this show. I'm always trying to find one's like them but have had no luck.

That's the ones I thought you were talking about!!! I found a pair - but like you say - the belt wasn't wide enough! They are dressy/casual - you could wear them anywhere! Spring's coming! Keep your eyes peeled!!

Oh don't you worry I will. You do the same. If I ever find the "right" pair, I'll inform you right away. They're just the perfect pair of pants, that's all there is to say about it. I think I should start wearing my dress pants. I could wear them to school or something.

I sure will! Sometimes Gap and Limited have cute dress pants you can get away with for school and work.

I thought the Slayer's look in S7 as guidance counselor was pretty cute. And Anya always had really nice outfits for the store.

I wish I could find that backless sweater of Anya's...

Maurices has some cute dress pants as well. I bought 2 pairs of different shades of brown ones not too long ago. One pinstripe and one solid brown. Very cute.

Guidence couselor Buffy was probably the best look in S7. Xander was pretty stylin in his work outfits as well. A nice shirt and pants can never hurt a guy. My least favorite would've been Spike this season. I don't know what they were thinking when they were putting his wardrobe together.

I haven't seen any backless sweater's as of yet but I'll keep an eye out for those too.

S7 Spike? Yeah, the black jeans and jacket were okay for - "normal-not-a-vampire" Spike. But Spike isn't Spike without the leather duster. But the blue shirt is a personal favorite!!

I also liked the "mottled" sweater he wore one season. It was so different to see him something other than the black tee and jeans it looked great!

Everyone seems more grown up in S7!

Now the comics have been showing Buffy is some really cute footwear! And I've bee liking the tops they draw her in. I wonder if Georges has someone model in a top or if he just draws something he sees - either in media or in his mind!

I'd be willing to bet he probably just flips open a catalog for someplace fashionable. What's fashionable anymore, Abercrombie & Fitch? American Eagle?

Spike's blue shirt was a decent change of pace, it wasn't scary like Angel's white shirts were.

I think Buffy's best outfit was in her dream in "Hush", or at least one of the best.

-What Season's Fashions do you like best?? (Include S8 if you want!!)
                          I don't read season 8, so I can't count those styles.
But I really liked the wacky season 1 & 2 styles. Those fitted in the show pretty well. If I had to choose clothes to wear myself, I would like to have the clothes of Buffy in season 3 and 4. Normal clothes with more color as the clothes in the last seasons.

                          -What Episode(s)
Buffy, Cordelia and the guys looked great in the Prom.

-Which character(s)? (Guy's and Vamps too!)
Buffy in season 3 & 4, Cordelia in season 3 and Dawn in season 7.
I liked season 3 Xander and season 4 Riley. For the vamps, Angelus had an amazing style.

                          -What Outfit?
I liked Angel's white blouses and shirts *runs away* It gave him a less dark look.
Buffy in her prom outfit. and her tanktop with 'Hug Me' on it ... season 2 somewhere.

I really hate this top BTW:
                          klik
And I dislike Spike blue shirt in season 7. *runs away again*

And I thought that Tara had one poor wardrobe ...

                            Right, getting my shallow on....

What Season's Fashions do you like best?? (Include S8 if you want!!)
It varies a lot from character to character. No look is better for Giles than that white T-shirt in Band Candy, while Willow rocks season seven with her structured, slightly gothic looks. Buffy has some fashion howlers in every season, but I like some of her season 4 and season 6 kit the best. Loved that t shirt about going to hell and escaping..crap, can't remember what it said exactly, but pretty sure she wore it during season 6 at some point? In season 4, the halter she'd patrolled in "many times" was cute.

Can I be a big fat girl and say I really liked Dawn's disney princess dress in OMWF? The one she was going to hell to be Sweet's bride in...?

*runs away and hides in fashion shame*

Generally, I quite like Andrew's clothes. I like men in geeky outfits.

I'd forgotten that patrolling halter! Buffy's non-school clothes in S4 took a huge fashion step forward. Naturally, the Band Candy Giles is a totally hot look. And S7 on horseback is not too bad either! Anya shows some really cute grown up clothes in S6 & 7.

Of course, Spike's leather coat is the ultimate in coolness. Hard to tell for Angel, with the all black wardrobe. His clothes all look the same to me.

Willow's clothes taste not only went up the elvator to the grown up departments, she went straight to the designer houses in S 6 & 7. Maybe it was that depressing wardrobe evaluation she did in The Body!

Tara totally rocked with her bohemien theme....some outfits seemed a little *unique*, but she totally carried the look.

All the cast wardrobes were so totally upgraded in S6, I wondered if THAT was where all Joyce's insurance money went!

Very true re Joyce's money. Buffy talks about "food and clothing" being where they spent the money. But I have a feeling there wasn't much of the former but a LOT of the latter.

Heh! I could never take that bit in the body seriously. Partly because I felt it was too self-consciously done ("look, here's how someone reacts to REAL GRIEF! Look, it's just like life!"). But also because I was like...damn, yes, get yourself some proper grown up clothes you little multicolour moppet!

I thought the thing about the shirt was brilliant... but only because Anya found it, put it away, and it was never spotted. That really is authentic. That was reality. On a TV show, she complains about it verbally and Willow gushes with relief that she has it.

But, that's not really a fashion thing, is it?

Xander's best look was the suit in "Lessons". There's an episode where Willow is wearing either brown or black boots that come up at least above her calf and a long skirt, that was pretty snazzy. No idea when it was.

Dawn was always pretty well dressed.

Oh my, how could I forget that halter? That was one of the cutest things Buffy ever wore. I spent all my time paying attention to her pants and not her shirts. Did we ever even see her patrol in that halter before? It's odd that Buffy never had a paying job other than the Doublemeat Palace yet she never wore the same outfit twice.

I forgot about the hats! That's pretty good. I don't understand why any of the characters wore hats. The only hat that ever worked on the show was Buffy's black winter hat in Becoming. Although I never understood why she's wearing a winter hat in California. The worst hat Willow ever wore had to be in This Years Girl http://www.screencap-paradise.com/ca...920&fullsize=1 I mean that is just one god aweful hat.

I did like the clothes in season 4 as well. Besides some big fashion faux pas they made with Xander and Willow in some episodes everyone usually looked great. As for how Xander usually looked I think I prefer his high school years more than his adult years. Although I do agree with KoC that his suit looked good. But then again what guy doesn't look good in a suit? One of my favorite battle royale outfits has to be the Grad day one of Buffys when she goes to kill Faith. Somehow those girls can pull off leather, something I can't do. Therefore I'm jealous. Enough said.

Oh I dunno. I wasn't all that keen on that blue shirt really. It looked like he'd stolen it off Dawns washing line!
