Yeah, The Final Fight, Close Your Eyes, and The Sacrifice are all amazing, but I like The Sacrifice just a little bit better--so haunting and iconic, and def. the most memorable to me (sometimes I have to think for a second to recall Close Your Eyes's exact tune). I can just see Buffy jumping every time, and her grave....plus I love how it starts out so slow and quiet, but then crescendoes...though I suppose they all do that!

God, I love that song...
But again, I adore all 3--Sacrifice, Close your Eyes, and Final Fight--nearly equally, I just prefer the Sacrifice slightly more....

I didn't even have to look at the options. The Final Fight is my fave. It gives me chills and it is very cinematic. It doesn't feel like a tv score at all! Honestly, that score is one of my fave things about the entire finale.

am i the only person that isn't really fond of "the final fight"? it sounds like a rip-off of the "lord of the rings" music.
"close your eyes" is a better, more haunting and beautiful piece of original music.
and the best peace out of "amends" isn't "magic snow music"... it's "dreaming of..."
"If there is no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do."
"Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh and cruel. But that's why there's us. Champions."

It is an excellent score - the tribal undertones and the contrasting softer vocal sections launching into the almost frenetic percussion/brass sections - I LOVE that! GOOD stuff!-TP<3
"At that point I'd love a fight and a heart to heart and then of course naughtiness and happy ever after."

I like parts of the Restless suite--esp. the part where Tara speaks to Buffy and it's really quiet, or when Willow is writing on Tara....but it's jsut so long and rambling, and not as memorable....
And Nile, I do love the Final Fight, but I agree that it's a little less original that the other pieces, which is what I was trying to say....

Well It's so hard to choose one because I mostly love all of them
But I voted for Close your eyes. I know Sacrifice was very important It was very dramatic and touching but Close your eyes is really really special for me. I can't forget Its effect on me. I was very upset and felt so helpless.
Another one is, Amends, the magic snow! That was a real proof of Buffy and Angel's love and I truly can say that Amends is one of my favourites of the show and the epp that I watched most oftenly.sigpic-Set by DeadLoversDawn from Evthreads-

Actually, what you said is actually a compliment, since Howard Shore used the London Philharmonic Orchestra, which is the best of the best of the better. The fact you're saying Duncan's score sounds much like it proves what talent he had making epic tracks from a computer and a piano.
Chris Beck did the same, and should be praised as well but not equally. At certain parts, I could tell Beck was sitting in a room on his computer.sigpic

I hate to say it but the only ones I distinctly remember from the episodes are "Close Your Eyes", "Hush", "Sacrifice" and "the Final Fight".
And it's so hard to choose between them... "Hush" is so haunting, "the Final Fight", as people have said, is so cinematic and probably the best part of Chosen... "Sacrifice" is this gorgeous piece of music... I think the only problem with "Close Your Eyes" is that it's way overused in the second half of season 2, as opposed to just being at the end of "Becoming part 2". But I think I'm still gonna have to vote "Close Your Eyes".
