For me i got into buffy becasue one day i was ill and looking for something to watch so i saw season 2 on dvd that my mum had borrowed and thought ill give it a watch and got hooked instantly then borrowed season 1 then went to number 3 and so forth and now own them all which i happy with
I was seven when I first say "Out of Mind, Out of Sight" back in '97. I always caught the odd episode when I came across it. After watching "Becoming, part 2," I devoted myself to watch every. single. episode.
And I haven't looked back since.
I was working a strange shift at that time and my dinner break was right about the time Buffy would come on. It was kind of "mindless fodder" at first - something to take my mind off my work - little did I know it was some of best TV - evah!
I liked the first 3 Seasons okay... Willow was my favorite character at first in the first Season. But then Spike came in Season 2!! And then Oz and Faith in Season 3! When Spike became a character in Season 4 I was SOLD! Glued to the set in Seasons 5 - 7!

Was just channel surfing when I was 13, and SMG was what caught my eye along with the very interesting opening credits. My first episode was "Witch" in season 1 and I watched until the show went off the air. I liked it because I kinda went through high school watching the show and it was very different from anything else on the air. I have never liked teen dramas and still am not a big fan of sci fi or horror, but something really worked on this show.
I loved the writing and the chemistry between the main characters. I loved the way SMG looked in the first season, with the more natural look(and natural hair color) and being a slightly more normal weight. I also was a big fan of Seth Green before he was added to the cast. I really enjoyed watching him in seasons 2-4.
For the longest time I wasn't a fan of the show, I never watched it because of it's late time slot and I wasn't liking the idea of anything to do with Vampires. Then my local acting class had us do scenes from tv shows and I got cast as the 'I think I'm stuck' vamp from season 7. I read the script and loved it so I rented the DVD that week. I've been hooked ever since and have seen all the episodes repeatedly
I had seen several episodes, or at least bits of them, as they aired. I distinctly remember bits of "Out of Mind, Out of Sight", "Lie to Me", "Bad Eggs", "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered", "The Wish", "Dopplegangland", and "Fear, Itself" on TV. But I didn't pay attention or care.
Then I started dating a girl who loved Buffy, so I was forced to watch "I Was Made to Love You". Then "The Body" the next week. Then completely hooked. I had caught up on all previous episodes before Season 6 was really halfway over.
3 years ago or so a friend of mine and her faimly came to our place. And she was like "turn on the TV!! Buffy will start!" And I was like "what!?". Then I turned on the TV and we watched together the only little thing that I remember about the scene was willow and xander in library. Firstly I wasn't really into but then I learnt that It was Harvest or Witch. So I was lucky to watch it when the show was at the begining.
I was in a mode of watching TV shows on DVD, and a friend of mine pitched BtVS to me. I'd heard good things about it, so I ordered it up on Netflix. I liked season one well enough. Passions convinced me that my friend was right. Becoming was the most brilliant thing I'd seen to date, and I became utterly obsessed. When the last disc of season 3 failed to work, I went out at midnight to buy the set. Bought all the rest pretty quickly after that.
It took me a few weeks or more to watch the first season. I watched season 7 in a weekend. All told, I burned through all seven seasons in under two months. That was two and a half years ago. I've never been a *fan* before -- never imagined I could love a TV show so long and so hard.

It was by chance, really. I walked into a room where my sister was flipping through channels. She stopped on FX and Buffy was on. We watched "The Freshman" and then "Living Conditions". My sister gave up on it, but I loved it. So, here I am. A fanatic
I was 7 years old.. getting babysat. My babysitter wanted to watch "Becoming Part II" as I distinctly remember.. and I don't know what struck (maybe because I had a crush on her ).. but I began watching season 3 as soon as it came on.
Now remembering everything, and looking upon myself.. I find it very surprising and intricate that I knew when the time it came on, the name of the show and the channel just from one episode that I barely was watching (although maybe she pitched it to me..) I can't remember if my eyes were glued or not, but I do know it made an impact. And here I am.. loving the series ever since and watching it more and more.
I was 17, and in year 11 I guess flicking channels (we only have 5 here so), I flicked onto Welcome to the Hellmouth and it was funny but scary and dramatic! I've never had a show feed me so many emotions all at once. Wasn't really hooked though until Angel took his shirt off in 'Angel'.. and then I became a 'I have to watch this show every week no matter what I'm doing' person in season 3 when I finally found another Buffy fan.
Buffy fans are odd, and cool intelligent people. One time at an old job I had when I was 20 or so working at Dominos (ergh), the manager asked me what I watch on tv, and I said 'Buffy and Angel, and I don't care if you make fun of me Brendan.' He smiled and said, 'Oh really? They are my favourite tv shows.' I love the universe(s) Whedon creates, they feel very real.
I started watching BTVS by chance. I was flipping through channels and I discovered one that was broadcasting Buffy season 4. I got interested but of course had a lot of questions, but I liked it the same. One year later, the same channel started airing the series all over again. So, I started with season 1 and got interested, then came the rest of the seasons and I loved it. I just have to say that I started the series thinking it was something and then discovered something else. Amazing!
My sister and i saw the Buffy movie when it first came out and we loved it (hahahaha tragic i know) so when we heard there was going to be a TV show we knew we had to watch it!! So we did, i think i was 12ish?
When I was 9, my sister was watching it. Because of my age, I was not really watching but when I got older, I started to watch it like a crazy Buffy-fan!!
When I was 12 (7 years ago), Buffy started with season 1 again in the Netherlands. A friend of my was already watching, so I started watching. I fell in love with the characters and everyday I was watching Buffy.
I started with Angel a year after that.
I can't remember how old I was, but I remember that I was watching BBC2, probably because The Simpsons was on and I really couldn't be bothered to change the channel, so I just left it on and Buffy came on, I wasn't really paying attention to it to begin with and then I saw that the main character was working in a fast food restaurant. It was DoubleMeat Palace and I remember thinking, "This is weird, surely she should be slaying vampires, hense the name of the show?" And then the whole story developed and I was fixed, I think I missed a couple of episodes because I remember the next episode I watched being Seeing Red and then the story that followed, but by the time season 7 was shown I was completely hooked, thinking how great it was.
Then Sky One started showing the show from the beginning and I watch and that Christmas I got the complete boxset for Christmas.
