My question to you is: what is your favorite musical moment in the series?

No, I do not specifically mean Once More With Feeling. It can be from OMWF, but doesn't have to. It could be "Close Your Eyes", "Full Of Grace", "Goodbye To You", "The Final Fight" or any musical number in the whole show.

My choice has to either be "Full of Grace" or "The Final Fight". Both are amazing, but since someone FOR THE SHOW composed "The Final Fight", I'll go with that! It was amazing what he did with that piece. It was a great action piece that was truly fantastic. I can listen to it over and over again

    You?

My favorite Musical moment was "Goodbye to you" By Michelle Branch- Tabula Rasa. It was a great scene showing Buffy and Spike kissing in the Club. and everything that went on in that Episode that song really Fit It.

Oh, too true, my friend. Too true. I have to say that that score alone completely redeems anything that might be wrong with the finale. It's so powerful and moving and haunting and triumphant. It honestly makes me eyes tears up. And I love when music can do that.

Also, I am a HUGE Aimee Mann fan so I really love when she performs at the Bronze in "Sleeper." The fight that is choreographed alongside "Pavlov's Bell" is great! But she does another awesome track in the episode too, "This is How It Goes." I Aimee!!

I wouldn't say that it redeems it

I totally forgot about Aimee Mann!! I don't really listen to her stuff, mainly because I just forgot to haha, but "Pavlov's Bell" was amazing! I loved that a fight was going over that song, and it was just perfect. I love that this show actually gets the real people to perform it. Such as Michelle Branch and Aimee Mann. That's what we get for having The Bronze

Mine's not a real song but in the first scene of the episode "The Dark Age" :
Giles: Must we have this noise during your calisthenics?
Buffy: It's not noise. It's music.
Giles: I know music. Music has notes. This is noise.
Buffy: I'm aerobicizing. I must have the beat.
Giles: Great! You work on muscle tone while my brain dribbles out of my ears.

Oh and the parts of "Living Conditions" when Kathy kept on playing Cher's "Believe". Honestly, who doesn't love that song?!!!!

Oh, so many....among my favorties are Buffy's dream at the beginning of Surprise when she walks into the Bronze and that amazing song is playing, Buffy jumping in slow-mo while the gorgeous "The Sacrifice" (my all-time fave piece) plays, Buffy kissing and then stabbing Angel in the end of Becoming Part 2 with "Close your eyes" playing, the "Full of Grace" scene, the "Goodbye to you" sequence, and the final fight scene.

Though if I had to pick one I'd pick Buffy's death scene! Gives me chills every time I hear the song....

"angel" - sophie zelmai - "i'll remember you" ...imo, *the* quintessential bronze scene and the best piece of music used there.

"surprise" - rasputina - "transylvanian concubine" ...drusilla's iconic moment in her red dress going down the spiral stairs at the factory and her party.

"innocence" - alice faye - "goodnight, my love" (from shirley temple's "stowaway") ...perfect overlap into the credits. sums up the entire episode. the fact that the song is from a shirley temple film sums up the fact that buffy still is 'innocent'.

"becoming, pt. 1" - christophe beck - "show me your world" ...as we go from liam getting turned to angelus emerging from the foliage and the fight set to beats of the music.

"becoming, pt. 2" - christophe beck - "close your eyes" ...right before the sword plunge. heartbreaking. by far the best piece of composed music for the show. the most humable theme for sure.

"amends" - christophe beck - "dreaming of..." ...it's a variation of "close your eyes" that is possibly even better than the original with the music box sound.

"bad girls" - curve - "chinese burn" ...best use of strobe lights ever.

"rm w/ a vu" - the mills brothers - "you always hurt the one you love" ...talk about a brilliant song choice in the phantom dennis & maude pearson flashback.

"reunion/billy/evil-cordy arc" - robert j. kral - "?" ...the drusilla's nursery theme/stalker-wesley/evil-cordy theme is one of the most underrated kral orchestrations... so much so that it is probably my favorite piece next to "close your eyes" (and its variants) and it isn't released on c.d.

"If there is no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do."
"Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh and cruel. But that's why there's us. Champions."

Oooh, is that on the CD? I do love that transition, awesome...part of what makes Becoming part 1 so incredible and underrated!

Lol, I think this is only supposed to be Buffy songs, but I totally agree, that is by far my favorite musical piece from Angel, and the most memorable--though IMO it's most memorable in association with evilJasmine!Cordy in season 4, since it was played in association with her seduction of Connor in more than one episode.....especially the scene in Inside Out when Connor in slow mo drags the victim into the other room to be slaughtered....damn! Hearing this music just gives me chills too, like "The Sacrifice" does....

Yeah, I wasn't certain if it was available on cd or not....that sucks that it's not, I really wish they'd release a second CD of Angel music, with that music, the other late season music, and a normal version of the opening credits theme....

Goodbye to you, it wasn't until about between Year 11 and 12 of High school when that song really ended up relating to me, let's just say pretty much all of that song meant something, more then any other song meant (Well Wish I could stay when Tara/Giles sings it comes close too, aleast Tara's bit anyway), the only thing was the end of the song "You are my shooting star" (I see why that didn't include that part in the end of Tablua Rasa too)

Hilda Celeriac: You better tell me everything or I am gonna go Lex Luthor on your ass!
Hey guys, if you know Amber is coming to Brisbane or anywhere near it, then page me (Well PM, just referencing Buffy)
