What do you think of Anya&Xander relationship? Does Xander seem more pretty with Cordelia? OR Anya is the best for Xander? Also, what do you think of Hells Bells? Should it be like this? Should Xander leave Anya or marry her? Could they have problems (like the demon showed in Hells Bells) when they got married ?

Anya&Xander...What do you think?

I think they were SO MUCH better than Cordelia&Xander, I mean Cordy&Xander's relationship was a different one, actually it was a bit like Buffy&Spike in s6They were like, arguing then suddenly starting to kiss each other
I was upset when I watched Hell's Bells. Xander wasn't going to concern that much, everyhing is b/c of that demon thingy. It was so depressing for Anya, she walked all the way to the altar with music by herself..I think they should have married!! They'd have been a nice married couple like I thought while watching "I'll never tell" in OMWF.
The only thing I liked in Hell's Bells is the conversation between Spike&Buffy, and Spike's behavours, trying to introduce that girl(his date) to the others

I loved that Xander left Anya at the altar, it brought interesting stories, and managed to make Anya a serious "real" character, unlike the "cartoon" version she used to be.
I felt sadder for Xander in Hell's Bells than Anya. Anya had only suffered in the end, Xander, however, was struggling throughout the episode.

I think Xander really wanted to marry her, and it started to hit him after The Gift that it might end up like his parents. Nonetheless, Xander had still carried on even with the doubts (he should have discussed his fears with Anya or someone) it was when he lived through the visions that he couldn't go through with it.
I agree that the blame lies on Xander, I still felt bad for him. It was obvious he was hurting by the decision, but deep down he knew it was the right choice.

I think it was the right decision not to get married, too. It was just a very unfortunate situation that the realization came on the wedding day. But it was also nice to see -- in an era where the decision to get married is made more casually than the decision to, say, buy a dog or a new car, Xander stepped up as a young person who realized it was better to not get married than it would be to get divorced or stay in a relationship that would start heading in the wrong direction.
I liked Xander with Cordelia better, though. I honestly think there was never a point at which I couldn't have believed in them getting back together. I really would love to get some sense, in Season 8, of what impact her death has on Xander specifically, but all the Scoobies.sigpic

But I digress....in any case, I would really have loved to see how Buffy and Xander most of all would have reacted, both to Cordy's death, and her relationship with Angel....would Xander wonder about their similar tastes in women?
As far as Xanya though, I have to say I like it more than Xander/Cordelia, just b/c it seemed more like a normal relationship, none of the secrecy and hiding stuff, openly dating each other, accompanying each other as a pair, hanging out, living together....plus there was such love and humor between them, and I love how they start out (her asking him out to the prom was classic, lol), how for once there's someone wanting to date Xander (surely you appreciate that one at least KoC!), etc. I do think Xander cared for her a lot, of course--just look at The Replacement, the Into the Woods speech, Selfless, and Chosen....poor Xander!
I wish Anya didn't have to die....

Xander and Anya are one of my favourite couples after Tara/Willow, I thought they were funny together and it was better then xander/Cordelia (Althought I wonder what season 3-5 Cordelia would be like with xander now)

I loved Xanya so much, one of my favorite Jossverse couples!
It was so sweet, but at the same time, so sadI prefer them over Cordelia and Xander by far, because their relationship started so cliche. Two people that hate each other really love each other
It got much better in Season 3, especially with "Lover's Walk" but Xander and Anya were so perfect for each other
"Hell's Bell" was so emotional and amazing: I loved it.

I can't really speak on who he was more "pretty" with, but I found Xander/Cordy entertaining and comical(the classic opposites attract), but that was about the extent of it. Couldn't really do much more with the relationship, but I still enjoyed it and atleast initially, wished they had stayed together longer.
I thought Xander/Anya worked so much better on many levels. Their both kinda oddballs and will stick their foot in their mouth from time to time. But also in some ways their relationship was built on that straight-forward honesty.
I could have seen them getting married but knew it wouldn't happen going into Hells Bells. Several months before that I remember reading an article with Joss talking about how characters in Buffy could never really find sustained happiness in a relationship. He always knew that suffering and pain worked so much better on TV. After reading that I knew pretty much every romantic relationship in Buffy would eventually end badly. After that, I just kinda chalked up what happened in Hells Bells to what Joss had said.

Although the Xander/Cordelia relationship was entertaining, he was better suited for Anya. They clicked and they worked. The fact that he felt doubt just meant that he should have postponed the wedding so they could work through the issues they had. Though at least in season 7 they appeared to be getting together again and I'm fairly confident that if Anya hadn't caught a slight case of death that they would have been together foreverTap dancing hurts if you fall in the sink

It's a hard choice because I honestly loved both Xander/Anya and Xander/Cordelia. But I'm gonna go with Xander/Anya, since we got to see that relationship deepen a lot more. Like at the end of the episode "Into The Woods", that was a very beautiful Xander and Anya moment.
As for Hells Bells, I felt more sad for Anya than I did Xander. While I love Xander as a character, he really has a way of ruining his relationships. Like as he did with Cordelia. I felt just as sorry for her in "Lover's Walk" as I did for Anya in "Hells Bells".Xander: "That means you're winning."
Anya: "Really?"
Xander: "Yes, cash equals good."
Anya: "Oh, I'm so pleased! Can I trade the children in for more cash?"

Anya's admission in "Selfless" that she had 'clung' to Xander for the sake of having an identity drew their entire relationship into question for me. People have already argued, very often and often unfairly, that Anya was a lifestyle accessory to Xander or that he treated her badly, but Anya makes an explicit admission to that effect.
Xander and Cordelia were both strongly independent characters who simply grew into each other, and I think it was a better core. I think that, had Cordy not been shipped off to "Angel", they might have even gotten back together. Turns out, she'd have been better offsigpic

Actually, Anya also admits to Spike that when she first dated Xander her intention was to use him then lose him. But then she grew to love him as a person.
