As much as I would love a Buffy movie, I guess its not going to happen. If they were to create a buffy movie now, the actors would almost too old looking. Attached is a pic of the crew around 2008.

That was funny, but they could still pull off a Buffy film, I mean they have make-up for stuff like that, but it could be set later, I suppose, so they wouldn't necessarily need said make-up, but I think all hope of a Buffy movie is lost now anyway.sigpic

Hehehehe... Riley looks really funny!! *lol*
I would love a Buffy movie, I would definitely go and see it. Maybe they could play it in some near future like somebody said here before, 10 years after Chosen or something like that. The problem would be for the not human characters such as Angel and Spike, mostly for Spike 'cause James M. has just turn 46 on August 20th, and as lovely as he is, is does look much older than when he started in the show, they had to use a lot of make-up and even then I don't know if they could pull it off.
So maybe he wouldn't be in the movie, which will disappoint many fans, or they could turn him and Angel human, getting them to shanshu or something like that. It'll be a reason to acknowledge that they look older, and hey maybe with both of them human, Buffy will have to dabate who will get her cookies.avatar credit: me!!

The only actor I've seen that really looks aged is probably JM. That photo of CC isn't very flattering, she looked far younger at Paleyfest this year. Alyson looks basically identical to what she did in 'Chosen' in my opinion and at Paley I'd say SMG looked a lot like she did in season 4 of Btvs (prob just the hair though) nevertheless, she didn't look that much older in my opinion. Nicky still looks young, DB looks younger than he did at the end of Ats s5 anyway and Anthony Head was basically his age anyway so it wouldn't matter if he aged.
I think they could pull off a movie quite easily. They already suspended the whole 'vampire's don't age thing' belief back in Ats s5, particularly with Masters so I don't see why it'd be greatly problematic if they just did it again for a movie. It wouldn't ruin my enjoyment at all.
Besides I think the four main people they'd need would be Sarah, Alyson, Nicky and Anthony anyway as they're the "core four" and David and James aren't even technically Btvs anymore anyway. I'd actually say that Michelle is more vital to a movie than either Angel or Spike as there'd more explanation as to why Buffy's sister isn't around her than either of those characters. It'd be great if we could get all of them but I'd say those five are the most vital anyway.

Judging from recent tv shows that have been made into movies I'm going with a world of no.
The recent X Files movie was a longer episode that didn't translate into an interesting movie. The Sex and the City movie was too full of stories so no one character apart from Carrie and Big got any interesting screen time. The Simpsons movie was once again just a glorified episode that I would have rather saved my $15.50 on.
And then Serenity... a good movie. But no where near as good as Firefly.
The tv and cinema genres are so different that I can't imagine it's easy going from one to another - please see mentioned examples!

I think it's never going to happen. I guess no-one in the big movie business just isn't interested in that or else it would have happened quite a while ago.
But if we were just fantasizing. I'd certainly want to see Buffy 7 years after Chosen. And there definitely is a way around JM being older. You could just make Spike human. And happy Spuffy ending is obligatory too, of coursesigpicbanner by litzie avatar by diane

5+ years after the series finished...i would definitely say no; everyone except Giles is too old. plus there's already that comedic Buffy movie back in the early 90s.veronica mars: "i've got a kidney with your name on it, no questions asked."

Oh wait, hey, English isn't my native language, I guess I'm allowed to make some mistakes now and then... All right what I meant was that I'm guessing no-one in the movie business IS interested in the Buffy movie.

If they were gonna do a movie I think they'd have to have as big a big bad as possible so that they could have a crossover movie, it would make more sense than just a Buffy or Angel movie and it'd be a nice way to see the characters all interact.
I suppose there could be seperate movies, like a Trilogy where there's a Buffy movie and an Angel movie and then in the conclusion they join forces to combat this all powerful evil.sigpic
