So, the best set in the Jossverse. I had the main ones:

Sunnydale High, Giles' House, Buffy's House, The Magic Box, Hyperion Hotel, Wolfram & Hart, and Serenity.

My pick is Serenity. Most space, and it fits all the characters so well. Just beautiful.

I went with the Hyperion Hotel, it's a beautiful set and so many good times there. Angel belongs in the Hyperion hotel. I also love Sunnydale High. But the Hyperion Hotel feels more like home.

Well I hardly think you can really compare a spaceship to normal building sets....but in any case I would say the good old Hyperion Hotel--I just love that place, and missed it so much in season 5 of Angel. Maybe it's because Angel is my favorite of the three shows... But I agree with Nina--it does feel like home!

As for Buffy sets, the Magic Box was always my favorite....

I picked Serenity, because can I live there? As previously mentioned, it was beautiful and matched the characters so well. My second pick would be the Hyperion Hotel, even though I'm not the biggest fan of Angel, I loved that set and missed it in the 5th season. My third would be Sunnydale High, probably because two of my favorite seasons occured there. I did like most of the sets in the verse though.

I picked the Magic Box, although it was a close call between that and Buffy's house! I just love the organised chaos of it all

I adore Serenity so that gets my vote. If it weren't an option it would have been Hyperion Hotel though. Both are beautiful sets.

Well, Serenity is their home. The bed rooms, the engine room (the basement, I would say), the kitchen, etc. It's their home.

My second pick would soooo be Hyperion Hotel. One of the reasons I disliked Season 5 was the change of location and characters, because the Hotel basically defined Angel for most of the show.

My third pick would prob. be The Magic Box, and it's me favorite set on Buffy because I kind of dislike Giles/Buffy's house. It feels so....boring And Sunnydale High is nice, but it's just a High School.

Oh, frak! I forgot to mention Angelus' Mansion and The Factory in Buffy, both great sets too.

I had to pick the Magic Box. Hyperion Hotel and Buffy's house coming stronly behind it. It was a hard choice but I think I'm still a bigger Buffy Fan than Angel Fan (still both though - of course). All of the sets really are amazing!

I picked Sunnydale High because of the library, if that had been a specific place you could have picked that would have been my favourite. I adore it, I don't think they've ever managed to capture a better set since IMO.

I also really liked the Hyperion and like the castle in season eight, but I'm guessing it's suffered the same fate as the library. And Angel's mansion was really great as well, generally I prefer the more 'gothic' sets from earlier seasons of Btvs than the Magic Box and Buffy's dorm room ect.

Magic Box. The set was so homey, so familiar, suited the characters so well in S5 and S6. They all felt like a big family.
                    Second choice, Sunnydale High
                    Third choice, Hyperion Hotel

I picked Serenity because, hey, spaceship!

But Buffyverse-only I'd have to choose Sunnydale High. There's really nothing like the Library for making it feel like Buffy. The Magic Box would be next.

The Hyperion gets my vote. Are You Now or Have You Ever Been really left me with no choice. The Serenity is a dead close second, but the Hyperion just takes my breath away just a little bit more.

Um, those and (more importantly) the ORIGINAL Angel Investigations office!

Yeah, my fave Buffy set would be The Magic Box as well...maybe because I Giles so much, and b/c it was such a great place for humor, and a comfy home away from home....I was sad when it got destroyed in the end of season 6!

am i the only person really, really fond of angel's first apartment?!?!

the hyperion is my favorite, of course (love that building--and i could kiss brian lynch for bringing them back to the hotel), but angel's first apartment is also one of my favorites. also the factory.

i actually love the spartan apartment a lot more than the mansion (though, i liked the fireplace and the garden--the outside is an ugly modern art building despite the famous architect). i just love how how you have this tiny little bachelor's apartment full of art pieces and personal relics--and of course, the color of the vibrant red bedspread just pops when you see pictures of that room--very representative of what that room came to mean during the series.

the sunnydale high library and courtyard with the clocktower are also memorable areas. the sun cinema is a classic. the first incarnation of the bronze was better--hated the remodel. my favorite thing in the bronze was the hanging metal chair that darla sat in when she turned around and smiled at jesse. and the factory's spiral staircase is one of my favorite things in that set.

imo, the hyperion and angel's first apartment, to me have that added bonus of representing an aspect of angel's personality or story. the hyperion represents the fact that, despite having a family now, he has hundreds of rooms to be all by himself (as bethany pointed out)--and it had a history of lost souls and his own morally gray past even with a soul. angel's first apartment sums up so much of bangel during the time that room was used on the show--your eyes immediately go to the only colorful thing in the room--which is the bed. the rest of the room is gray cement. and the color of the bedspread of the bed that buffy loses her virginity on as well as unleashes angelus' bloodshed over sunnydale is red. very symbolic.

only angel's first apartment and his angel investigations batcave ever had relics of angel's past.

                              1) the hyperion
                              2) angel's sunnydale apartment
                              3) sunnydale high's library
                              4) spike's crypt / the cemeteries (including restfield)
                              5) the master's fallen church/lair
                              6) angel's batcave
                              7) downtown sunnydale
                              8) the factory
                              9) the gypsy camp/darla & angelus' borşa apartment
                              10) the L.A. and sunnydale sewers

a few honorable mentions--the beijing set (actually was a mexican village backlot), the mansion, the pratt home, the galway tavern/street, marseilles, the early bronze (it also seemed more darkly lit, seedier and with more mysterious, lurking danger than in the later seasons--it kind of grew brighter and more respectable with bigger acts--and the old sign logo rocked so much more), cordy's apartment (poor lonely dennis should be taken in by A.I. somehow), etc...

i definitely prefer the gothic/old-fashioned sets.

I chose the Magic Box out of that list. It's just so well put together, and it served the scoobies really well during the seasons.

I also liked the coffee pump. I think it's a bit overlooked sometimes. But on one of the DVD specials you get to see it properly, and i love that its made of vintage car parts. The guy who designed and built it really put his stamp on it.

And the Hyperion Hotel was just gorgeous in all it's majestic splendour. A beautiful building. I often dreamt of buying it and living in it myself. hehe.

I loved buffy's house! Her house was beautiful and i always wished i could live there, lol. Also it was the main basis of the first seasons and the first seasons were my fav. by far!

I picked Sunnydale High because of the library, I love how old fashioned it seemed and it suited Giles completely. I think I love it so much because that is where it all started too. If I had to pick a second though I think I would have to pick the Hyperion.

I had to pick 'other' because its too hard to choose. Basically, I thought all the sets were fantastic, very original and so important to the stories of each of the shows. I always loved any of the sets that were Angel's, though - right from the beginning in Buffy S1, I loved how Angel's environment was so different to all of the other characters' and how much it could reveal about him. They always made me want to jump into the telly and have a pick around, lol, they were so detailed and full of interesting stuff! Oh, and I quite especially loved Angel's apartment - his bat cave - in AtS S1.

Oh god, so hard to make a choice as they were all wonderful, but If pushed I'd have to say 50/50 the Hyperion/Wolfram and Hart.
