But going by 2parter standards, the 3 i put and
Wish/Doppelgangland, Harsh light/In the dark, Becoming 1&2 and weight of the world/gift all deserve 10/10 imo.
    very hard choice.
I cant see 1 2parter thats less than an 8/10

I voted before I saw your post, so I voted for 4 episodes.

My votes are for Suprise/Innocence, Becoming 1+2, Grad Day 1 + 2 and other. Well written episodes with great acting, beautiful storylines and heart breaking scenes.

My other is of course Power Play and Not Fade Away. Those two episodes are epic, Angel's speech, the grey area, the team fighting until death because they want to, Lindsay's death and the death of Wesley. Goodbye Folks!

I do ... Gone/Wrecked are two of the worst episodes ever.

First of all I probably wouldn't have said some of those were two parters, like Wrecked and Gone because they continue two completely different stories and The Wish and Doppelgangland because although they include the same character they're two different stories. Also Who Are You and Five by Five I would've said was a four parter with This Year's Girl and Sanctuary.

But anyway, I chose Becoming Parts 1 & 2, Who Are You and Five By Five and Other which is Power Play and Not Fade Away.

Becoming Parts 1 & 2 because they're really well written with a good mixture of flashbacks and present time storylines. I loved seeing Buffy getting chosen and killing her first vampire and all of Angel's backstory. I also loved the return of Kendra, the apocalypse with Acathla and, of course, the epic swordfight with Angelus and Buffy which led to his death. It was interesting to see Willow doing magic for the first time. Also, the last two scenes are two of the saddest with Buffy killing Angel and that score and then the Sarah McLachlan with Buffy leaving etc.

Who Are You & Five By Five because Faith is one of the the best characters, it was interesting to see the body switch and watch Eliza play Buffy in Faith's Body and vice versa. It was also interesting to see Faith/Buffy choosing to do the right thing with the vamps, the reaction to Riley saying I love You and the way Faith/Buffy interacted with the Scoobies. Funniest scene with Faith/Buffy experimenting in the mirror. It was also interesting to see Faith's transition into Angel which allowed her to become slightly darker with the torture and everything and her final breakdown.

Power Play and Not Fade Away because with Power Play you had the whole is he/isn't he evil thing and the final fight in Angel's office, his speech and then seeing them all do their thing in Not Fade Away. It also had great fight scenes and Wesley's death was tragic, as was Lindsay's, but the way Illyria reacted was really great. And Angel's infamous last line, which kind of puts Dawn's "What are we gonna do now?" to shame.

Yeah, I wouldn't call all of these "two-parters", either.

In any case, I voted for Fool for Love/Darla, Once More With Feeling/Tabula Rasa and The Weight of the World/The Gift. (I was considering voting for Surprise/Innocence and/or Becoming #1/Becoming #2, but I don't like their first parts all that much.)

SUPRISE/INNOCENCE: I thought this was just ultimate Btvs. It was the first Major twist, and everybodys acting was at its best. I also Prefer Angelus to Angel. Angelus s2 is probably my single favorite storyline in the buffyverse.

WHO ARE YOU?/FIVE BY FIVE: Another Major twist, and Faith is just amazing. I started watching Btvs from s4, so i didnt even know who Faith was, and when This years Girl came on i couldnt take my eyes off the screen. I was like 'whos this'? a new amazing character, she has the same sort of charisma/presence as Spike. That Faith 4 parter was, like Angelus s2, one of the best stories in Btvs.

FOOL FOR LOVE/DARLA: I Just had to pick this, Spikes the best character(imo) and this was the best flashback(imo) in all the buffyverse. William and his 'effulgent' poem, then getting bit by Dru was very well done. And how good was it getting to see how he killed the two slayers.

who are you?/five by five isn't a two-parter. they're actually a huge chunk of time apart. the two parters are this year's girl/who are you? and five by five/sanctuary. different.

nevertheless, i voted for surprise/innocence, becoming and fool for love/darla.

some of those aren't two-parters and you missed a lot of angel ones.

                2-parters:
Welcome To The Hellmouth / The Harvest
                What's My Line?, pts. 1 & 2
                Surprise / Innocence
                Becoming, pts. 1 & 2
                Bad Girls / Consequences
                Graduation Day, pts. 1 & 2
Harsh Light Of Day / In The Dark
This Year's Girl / Who Are You?
                Five By Five / Sanctuary
                Fool For Love / Darla
                Bargaining, pts. 1 & 2
                End Of Days / Chosen
A Hole In The World / Shells
Power Play / Not Fade Away

                3+-parters (or more accurately--arcs):
The Trial / Reunion / Redefinition
Over The Rainbow / Through The Looking Glass / There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb
                Offspring / Quickening / Lullaby
Villains / Two To Go / Grave --advertised as a 2-parter and aired on the same day, but isn't a 2-parter. it's an arc.
                A New World / Benediction / Tomorrow

and most of season 4 ats is one big, long episode.

i would say a lot of these are only 2 or 3-parters due to a special character appearance or how they were advertised. two to go / grave is a 2-parter in advertisement only--it's a 4-episode arc. i'm also iffy whether end of days / chosen constitutes a 2-parter--it's also an arc. the only thing 2-parter about it is angel's special guest appearance (which i'm sure was part of the marketing). and there's a lot of overlap special characters that still don't make it a 2-parter. the yoko factor / primeval is also considered a 2-parter officially. again, i see arc with some progression of action in between episodes--but pretty separate identities. there's more 2-parter-ness about sanctuary / the yoko factor (in the crossover sense). ditto with lies my parents told me / orpheus being a crossover.

Well as they said Earlier Gone/Wrecked Really not all that good. Lets get on with it I Picked FFL/Darla as this is possibly the best 2 parter on the list and I love Spike and The Fab 4 Vamps. Next wouldve been The Wish/Doppel as I like seeing Willow as a Vampire in Doppel Plus the Wish is one of the best Eps. Last I Picked Two to Go and Grave, Dark Willow plus Willow Vs Buffy plus Xander's Speech about Crayon breaking Equals great

Yeah, I agree with Nile, most of these aren't two parters. Darla/Fool For Love is a crossover, as is WAY?/Five By Five. The real two parters there are TY'sG/WAY? and 5by5/Sanctuary. Also, Trial/Reunion isn't a two parter. It's a three parter: Trial/Reunion/Redefinition. And Two To Go/Grave is really Villains/Two To Go/Grave, and Wrecked/Gone are not two parters, it's Smashed/Wrecked. Sorry....and a few were missing. Oh, and The Wish/Doppel aren't two parters. There also about eight episodes apart. And, like Nile said, you missed some really awesome "three parters": Offspring/Quickening/Lullaby is ****ing amazing, and A New World/Benediction/Tomorrow is great, minus the last episode.

But my all time favorite "multiple parter" is definitely The Trial/Reunion/Redefinition. The latter isn't as good, but it's still pretty good and action packed. The Trial is in my top 10 Angel episode, and Reunion's in my top 5. They're emotional, hilarious, action packed, and just plain awesome and riveting. Great, great stuff.

Aren't Reprise and Epiphany a 2 parter as well, if they are ... they deserve my vote as well, because that are two of my favourite episodes ever.

Who says a 2 parter has to be next to each other?
Im looking at it from an overall Buffyverse perspective.
I mean, yeah, theres some crossovers and stuff in the list but
we may as well class them as 2 parters for this list. It makes it a bit tougher to pick.

2-parter has to be next to each other. absolutely. otherwise, to use an extreme example, is never kill a boy on the first date a two-parter with spin the bottle because cordy says "hello, salty goodness" in both?

just because vamp-willow was in two episodes, doesn't make it a two-parter. and that doesn't mean ground state, a long day's journey and players is a three-parter because gwen was in three episodes.

a two-parter is when an episode continues directly into the next episode and the story from the first episode is the same story going on in the second. part of it is also advertising by the networks in the cases where the episode names weren't the same (hence "pts. 1 & 2"). the only true two-parters are the ones with the same episode titles. others are somewhat honorary because the story went on in a two-consecutive-episode arc and was advertised as a major changing-point type moment... like, if you want to see what happens, tune in tomorrow/next week! dun dun dun!

surprise/innocence is an example of the advertisements being used as a way to move the show to a new day of the week (monday to tuesday). it was the network saying, if you want to see what happens to angel, you have to watch tomorrow rather than next week... the show is moving to a new day. part of the two-parter status comes from that.

most of these two-parters or continuous arcs are ones where the episodes have a big cliffhanger in between that causes you to have to wait until the next episode for the resolution of the same plotline. the wish and doppelgangland have completely separate plotlines. one is about cordelia and one is about willow. the connective tissue is the b-plot with anya and a character guest spot. if vamp-willow had appeared in a 3rd episode, it would be clearer that she's just a recurring character, rather than a two-parter. there's no cliffhanger in between the episodes.

I wonder if we can restart this poll - using only two-parters that The WB and UPN promoted as such. (Crossover two-parters like Fool for Love/Darla could still be among the selections.)

                                Wrecked/Gone
                                and End of Days/Chosen

For one thing, I love the Willow arc in Season 6, for some reason I compulsively watch her self-destruction, I find it to be the most fascinating thing about her character.

                                Plus Randy Giles is hilarious!

And the last two episodes, for me, are so much about empowerment that I can't stop watching them. About having the power to change the world, it makes me feel important I like it!

I guess I didn't realize that some of these were considered "two-part" - especially the Buffy/Angel combos.

I voted for Who are You/Five by Five - because Faith is one of my favorite characters.

Fool for Love/Darla - because FfL is my favorite Buffy Episode (and Spike episode)

And Wrecked/Gone - because Spuffy is my favorite Ship.
