I like Drusilla! I'll sign up. I've always liked her, ever since her first appearance in School Hard. She was so tragic and beautiful-- here's hoping she shows up in either Season Eight or After the Fall.

Drusilla is a really cool charcter. I wish she was and is used more. I want just one episode that has Angelus Spike Dru and Darla together just like the old days.

Okay so I am right in the middle of watching season 2 of Buffy and it made me remember how much I love Dru!

She is creepy and bad ass yet terribly tragic. Plus I love her outfits

Should she be with Spike?
Pre-soul Spike? Yes! I just think Spike was so much happier with her, there was so much angst with Buffy and for so long he wanted Buffy to feel the same way he did. And they were both jus t so...evil together. Very hot much more than is other relationships in my opinion.
Now soul Spike..I just want an encounter with the two of them so much, I just think it would be tragic but I want to know what Dru would say and do.

Just how deep was her relationship with Angelus? Especially compared with Spike? It was very deep. In someways Spike would/will never be connected to Dru like Angelus was. Angelus literally created her.
However I don't think that should discount her relationship with Spike,I do believe she loved him whatever way vampires can. I think she was happy with Spike. I think they had a very special err romance Thus they will always be connected.

Why do you like Dru?

I think she's often the most overlooked of the Fanged Four-- Spike and Angel are obviously the most focused on, but even Darla gets her own redemption arc in the series. Plus, the evil deeds of the other three have been described throughout the shows in great detail, but I think that Drusilla's just as deadly and dangerous, only...quieter. I also think her gothic style of dress and beauty is sort-of like the classic image of vampires. It's very horror-movie-esque, especially in Lie to Me, and I think the show lost some of that in the later years. Dru's one of the only vampires who is scary every time you see her.

I love her in Reunion, when she's with Holland, Lilah, and Lindsey preparing for Darla's "birth". Dru's babbling on about how she can't wait for "mummy" to rise, how it's going to be great, etc., and Lindsey's clearly humoring her. Dru addresses Darla, and he asks if Darla can hear her. Dru turns to him and says slowly, like she's speaking to a child, "She's. Dead." Love.

Also, I like "What will your mummy sing when they find your body?" in Lie to Me, because it's so very creepy.

Should she be with Spike?

Now? No. But I would like to see how he thinks of her, and she him, now that he has a soul.

I think that she had a very deep bond with both of them, despite having been with Spike for about three times as long as she was with Angelus. But I think ultimately, she was Angelus's and Spike was hers, in both the sense of siring and everything else. She could control Spike, but never Angelus. She belonged to him, to do with whatever he pleased. She and Spike were more on equal footing, I think.

I'm not the fan, that's my sister but I have to agree that she is a well-portrayed character.

My sister recently pointed out that it was not fair at all how everybody of the original vampire quartet got at least a bit of redemption, except Drusilla, and how her storyline was left unfinished. Well, she's right about it being unfinished, Dru just disappears at some point. So at least a cameo in S8 or ATF would be a good idea, in my opinion.
As for a souled Drusilla... my sister is all for "give her her soul back and let her hook up with Spike again, they're sooo sweet together" (but she's only starting on Buffy IV and Angel I now, so she hasn't really seen much of what happens between it all, just heard some of it from me)... souled Drusilla, now I wonder what she'd be like...

As fond as I am of Drusilla, I'd be annoyed if every single Fanged Four member got a redemption arc -- the writers are already stretching it with Angel, Darla and Spike. And besides, that's the beauty and the tragedy of Drusilla's character... how unfair her turning was.

I'm certainly up for a Drusilla-Buffy or a Drusilla-Angel-Spike confrontation, though.

Her story really is something. How someone so innocent and delicate was made into someone so cruel and creepy. And I totally agree with Enisy, I really don't want to see her redemption, that would be too much. Why should every single one of the Four be redeemed? Her fate is tragic but there's the beauty.
Poor Dru. She lost all of her vampire family. I really wonder what she's up to right now...

Oh I prefer an unredeemed Dru as well. I like her 'mad, bad' and dangerous to know' myself. She just wouldn't be Dru to me otherwise. Here's a piccy for her thread.

I think she'd still be barking mad. Angelus tortured her mentally before she was turned, so if she's still that way as a vampire now I think she'd remain the same should she get her soul back. I agree that it'd be unnecessary to redeem Dru, because she's so crazy that the soul isn't necessary to explore her issues like it is with the other three vampires. In 'What's My Line?' she demonstrates that she's still angry towards Angel for what he did to her family and takes great pleasure in torturing him because of it, whereas we probably wouldn’t see that side of Angel, Spike or Darla without a soul.

I do adore how Dru seems so mentally deranged and yet, still exhibits great wisdom, and great evil. Despite being insane she knows very well what she’s doing and is quite calculated and ruthless, as seen when she kills Kendra or waits for Angel to come and try and stake Darla before she can turn. It’s what makes her so dangerous, and I think it’s the reason she’s lasted as long as she has. It’s great to imagine her still out there doing her thing whilst the rest of the ‘fang four’ have either died, or changed.

Really, giving her a soul would be rather redundant, Angel got his, then Darla (however briefly) and then Spike.. we really don't need Dru as well.

Thing is out of Spike and Dru (season 2 versions) I've always found Dru to be the most scary. Mainly because theres nothing as unsettling as a truly insane person, with that much power who can go from laughing and staring at the stars to ripping the nearest persons head off.
