How about we go for a battle of major powerhouses:

Glory vs. Illyria

I'm pretty sure all that anyone around this fight could do is try to clear the streets. I'm going to give it to Glory by a nose since she seems more durable than Illyria.

Definitely Glory. With the super strength and the minions, she'd overpower Illyria. Plus, with no Key around, she wouldn't have to deal with guilt, Ben taking over, etc.

I think Illyria has a shot. Glory has so little control over her self, where as Illyria can even pretend to be Fred.
And she might be able to talk to plants.

The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning toward Illyria. Illyria is an actual warrior. Glory managed to wipe out a few dozen knights in less than a minute, but she also was also held in check by the scoobies. Illyria had that *awesome* moment of killing Spike, Wes, Lorne, and Angel in about 15 seconds.

Glory as strong as she is...only has super strength and durability. Illyria on the other hand has great strength and also the time altering powers which I think would give her the upper hand in the battle to ultimately win.

However, Glory is also immortal and therefore cannot die, I am sure Illyria could? If Glory couldn't die and she matched Illyria in strength and speed, then chances are she'd manage to kill Illyria, whereas Illyria couldn't kill her.

The only real weakness that Glory has was if she turned into Ben after being slapped around too much, and thus Illyria could kill Ben in a matter of seconds. However, in order for this to happen one would assume Illyria would give Glory quite a beating. I think their strength is equally matched and the fact Glory is so speedy she blurs, well what good would Illyria's time slowing really do?

I'm not sure how strong she is supposed to be, but I think would be on the same terms as Glory, that is before she was power sucked anyway. Are we supposed to be viewing both Gods at their highest level of power?

In terms of strength I guess one could ask, do we think a troll hammer could do the same damage to Illryia that it did on Glory?

Illyria could also create those portals. All she would have to do is open one up to a dimension on eternal torment or something to that effect and trick Glory into it. Because we all know she isn't the brightest God in th heavens.

Glory does die... Giles actually kills her. Such a great scene. Now she's in Ben drag but she does die as we think of it. Not sure where the hell-god spirit goes from there but that Ben-drag is a serious Achilles Heel. They even directly say in the plot that Glory as Ben can be wiped out. Kill the man, kill the God. Big with the moral rumblings about taking the life of an innocent and all that.

Plus you have the whole, need to suck human brains to keep her mind in the game. She'd be toast.

Illyria would wipe the floor with her if she were in her pre-power drained state as we first see her on Angel. It would be funny too. Major carnage.

From what i understand Glory cannot remain as Glory (as opposed to Ben) for an indefinate amount of time, whatever mental or physical conditions she is in. Therefore i believe that Illeria could do her whole time altering thing and wait for glory to turn into Ben and then she has an easy kill.

However I do not see Illeria doing something like that but I think that she could put up fight enough to last long enough for it to happen anyway.

Do we mean Glory as in Glory/Ben, or do we mean full blown Glorificus? Because theres a difference.

As Glory/Ben, I think Illyria could beat her, it'd be a hell of a fight, but I'm sure Illyria woul win. Because of Glory changing into Ben, Illyria could kill Ben in a heartbeat and be done with it.

As her full godness (lol), Glory would so win. She can't die, and is super powerful. And Illyria can die, I think.

oh, I think Illyria would kick Glory's ass! Buffy did, and she was only a slayer! Illyria was, well, she rocked! Glory was too whiny. She'd start yammering about a shoe or her hair and Illyria would have her tied in a pretzel before she finished a sentence...
