Is Buffy season 2 better than Angel season 3? Is Angel season 1 better than Buffy season 5?

Conclusion, Buffy's best seasons were better as the Angel seasons, but the Angel seasons were better as the last Buffy seasons. I'm all for BtVS 1t/m 3 and after those three seasons Ats 1 t/m 5. All IMO ofcourse

Wow, I'm surprised that I never thought about what my ranking would be when combing both shows. I usually do them separately, so let me think...

AtS 2. It has some iffy eps but I totally love the arc and it has some most excellent eps indeed!
BtVS 4. It might not have the best arc ever but a lot of the stand-alones are super killer!
BtVS 6. I just love the darkness and depravity of it. It has a number of weak eps but it has some truly outstanding ones. And I am one the fans who enjoyed the arc.
AtS 4. It almost felt like a season of 24 with the immediacy of it. How one ep ended and the next picked up where it left off. Very exciting, imo!
BtVS 5. Awesome arc. Some stellar eps.
AtS 3. Good mix of mythology and a little fun. Also has a number of excellent eps.
AtS 5. I didn't think I liked it that much and then when wwe were playing the elimination games, I realized it has a ton of eps I really rather liked. So I cannot deny it has some goodness!
BtVS 2. Also a great overall arc with high drama. But there's some really boring stuff in there.
AtS 1. As a whole I don't care for it too much but there are some spectacular stand out episodes.
BtVS 3. I don't know. I like it. I'm just not it's biggest fan. BUt Faith added some fun and flavor, yo.
BtVS 7. Um, it's kinda choppy and the writing could have been better. But ti does have its redeeming qualities and I loved the finale. I felt satisfied and got closure from it.
BtVS 1. The show was just testing to see what it wanted to be. Most all the eps missed the mark with me. But there's three of them I think are more or less fine.

For some reason, with most shows, I tend to enjoy the latter seasons more than the earlier ones. There are some exceptions. I don't know if this list completely captures my opinion as I have not done a rewatch of either show in a few years. But I did the best I could!
