The episode was 3.15 "Consequences". Xander had been trying to insist that he should be the one that talk to Faith because they had a connection, and Willow figured out first that he meant that they'd slept together. Then she'd had a good cry over it because, presumably, she still always sort of thought they'd be each other's first. It's a pretty natural way to feel about a life long crush.sigpic

Yes, she had. But a part of her will always love Xander, just as a part of her will always love Oz and Tara respectively.
Also, she and Xander had been best friends since they were in kindergarten. When she found out that Xander had sex -- a big step into adulthood -- she felt left behind. Like Xander was going into a path she hadn't reached yet.sigpic

They were still only a couple months removed from an affair of sorts that probably had Willow feeling pretty conflicted in general, as well. It's normal for people to have that kind of selfishness about people they've loved, whether it's reasonable or not. Although he'd have found it out off-screen, I have no doubt that Xander also had a flash of jealousy when he realized that Willow and Oz were sleeping together.sigpic

I view the scene (re: Willow crying) more as a moment Willow felt insecure. I don't know about anyone else, but I remember when some of my friends lost their virginities before I did, I felt like I was missing out on something. Like they were growing up faster than I was.sigpic
