Who survives to Angel :Aftermath?

Well, I would guess from the title, Angel, though human or demon I don't know. Since Kelley Armstrong said in her interview that her favorate character is Fred, and since Illyria lends herself so perfectly to the graphic novel medium, I am guessing Illryria. Since Kelly is known for portrayal of female characters, I am also thinking Nina or Gwen. Personally I find Gwen more interesting, not that Nina had much of a chance for development, she was basically what Angel settled for since he couldn't have Buffy or Cordelia. I think there is alot more to Nina than that. I have always enjoyed the character of Gwen. Spike is a must, he is just too adorable and hilarious, and can carry his own series with or without Angel. Connor's story has barely been started. I hate to say this, no matter how much I love Wesley, but I think his story arc is just about over. Will he have a happy afterlife with Fred? Does Fred even exist anymore other than fragments in Illyria. Typical Josh angst and tragedy would be to send Wesley onward without his muse, proving that even in the afterlife, per Mr Whedon, NOONE gets the happily ever after.

Wesley will likely make it. He's both really popular and a great punching bag for drama. I can't see the franchise giving him up anytime soon.

Spike, Illyria and Connor are the other ones I don't see going anywhere. Angel is a given.

I think the loss in After the Fall is going to be Gunn.

Didn't Brian already said that Groo wil survive because he hoped that Groo would make a come back after ATF?

To make sure that it won't be a boys club ... I think that Nina stays, the same for Fred/Illyria.


And Wesley, I can't imagine that they let Wesley go. But I'm not sure how he survives.


Lorne, I'm not sure. Brian made Lorne a secundary character. It can be that he stays that way ... maybe he will stay mayor?

I think he is either going to be trapped in hell and/or ends up stranded in the future. I think he will sacrifice himself in some way to save the group.

Angel, Spike and Conner will survive for sure. I would be totally shocked if any of them died.

I'm thinking Illyria will make it too. She's just too interesting to not explore further.

Wesley? Either he'll stay a ghost or be released from his contract. We don't need another resurection.

If Fred dies I hope to God that she gets some kind of afterlife with Wes. They both deserve it.

Gunn will die too. I'm thinking he'll play some part in his own death... not saying by he's own hand, but I think he'll go out on his own terms. Maybe picking a fight with something that he can't possibly win against like the Dragon or Illyria.

I think Gwen will die. She's betrayed the group and whether she has good intentions or not, there's going to be a punishment. And it will give a layer of angst to an otherwise well-adjusted Conner.

Nina will survive because she's starting to become interesting and the cast needs more females. If Wes, Fred and Gewn die the cast will be getting pretty small too.

Cordy The Dragon will die because if LA returns to normal, there's really no place for a dragon in the "real world."

My instincts tell me that Lorne might die because that's just about the most horrible thing that could happen.

I think that Angel will survive even if I doubt of this when I see the cover of issue 13 or the cover of issue 14 with

I think Lorne will survive too but he'll let the team like at the end of the tv show.

The issue 12 of after the fall is so amazing that we can't know how the story will continue.

I think it's fair to say that Angel will survive, it is his gig after all, but I don't know in what form it'll be. I sort of want him to stay human because he deserves it, but I kind of want vampire Angel back too. If they turned him back does that mean they'd need to re-ensoul him or would he change back with the soul already, if the PTB stepped in or something?

I think Spike and Connor will definitely survive, Wesley might do too if W&H is restored in real LA or if it's still destroyed. I'm not sure about Illyria, she probably will, but the cover for #14 has me doubtful, but that could be just as misleading as #11. Lorne and Groo probably will too.

I think we might see Eve or Lindsey at some point, although I'm assuming Eve's dead too because of what the voice in the White Room said to Wesley?

I think it's doubtful Gunn will survive, the same could be said for Gwen and Spider.
