Just wanted to say the art looks so different now the colour guy has been changed, looks like a totally different comic. Not sure which one I liked better.

Definitely interesting stuff. Still loving Nina in this book. I've been rewatching Nina in Season 5, and I've decided she actually was awesome the whole time, so I'm going to enjoy her even more in "After the Fall".

Definitely interesting stuff. Still loving Nina in this book. I've been rewatching Nina in Season 5, and I've decided she actually was awesome the whole time, so I'm going to enjoy her even more in "After the Fall".

Yeah I never actually had a problem with her character, although I found her kind of pathetic in 'Power Play' when she reveals that she knows Angel could only ever achieved real happiness if he was thinking about Buffy whilst she was banging him. I just found her character pointless to the whole story of s5 really, she didn't really have a purpose.

Looks like that is going to change in this though

I'm loving the Angel/Wes relationship right now. Angel doesn't really trust him but feels sorry for it and I feel sorry for Wes too, but don't know if I trust him either

Angel doesn't think Connor will trust him again after what happened. I'm actually expecting it to be the exact opposite as it'd be a surprise to Angel an us as the audience. I think everyone kind of expects Connor to blame Angel and start with the father/son issues again, it'd be more interesting if Connor stands by Angel and his decision.

I like the idea that the demon lord would be going after Connor though, if he was smart... or at least that is the impression I got for why Angel was trying to reach him.

Just..the cover...the cars. I know it was always about the cars but, damn. I hope there's a good reason for the Spike-draped-in-"tail" cover...like, he's actually the whore in that scenario.

The Wes/Angel trust relationship issues, v interesting and good. Oh and the Connor stuff looks promising (sending your son to hell like other people send theirs to college ) Not sure about Nina...could be interesting if they take her wolf persona to a more merged place than they did Oz's. Though I'd want a reason for that...is it because she's in hell?? Is that affecting her demonyness? That'd be interesting...if demons in hell gradually change, become more demonic...less in control...wilder? So not only is Angel dealing with consequences, he's dealing with rage (a la Giles in A New Man )

I think with Nina it was stated she was like this because both the sun and a full moon was out at the same time. So half of her is the wolf trying to get out, the other half is her human self.

I think it's not that he wants a shot with her again and more about calming the awkward situation of his ex blaming him for her current problems and state of things plus the fact she's a feral hybrid that now has a appetite for bloody meat while sniffing Angel like he's is going to be that next bloody meal.Plus all those weapons from her group pointed at him.I think Angel wants to get out of this situation as fast as possible and with all his body parts still attached.

I think the same, I really hope that is the case btw.

Connor does have a new view on life and the fight now. He sees himself as a superhero and I can see Connor seeing Angel as a hero as well. And that is what Angel needs, somebody who doesn't see him as the bad guy.

About Nina, I liked Nina in season 5 and I was happy to see her back. Her situation is well done and I would love to hear more of her. And hey! She shares a name with me.

Wesley, he looks a bit like Giles (First time I see a picture of comic!Wesley.). I feel sorry for him, poor guy.

I don't think Connor is pissed at Angel.. hadn't crossed my mind actually, until someone else brought it up. They better not kill Connor off.
And yeah, it seemed like Angel just thought Nina was crazy and wanted to get out of there ASAP. Hard to tell for sure though. I guess she was ok in season 5.. a little dull.
Looking forward to some Spike!

I was very excited to see Nina in Issue #1 ! But I feel sorry for her at this point... She's so "mixed up"!! It's almost as if she doesn't recognize Angel except on some very "sub-human" level! LOL!! Angel seems to be gently removing himself from the situation he is in with her. But he seems to be reaching out to connor. Hopefully we won't enter another season of Connor tantrums like we did with Dawn. That just NEVER got old... *sigh*

Agreed. Which is why I hope Connor does the totally unexpected and actually supports Angel rather than blames him. Angel expects him to, we as an audience expect him to, how bout the writers try something different? I hope they do.

i totally want angel, wesley and connor to be the new inner circle of trusted friends. especially for wesley and connor to be on angel's side and understanding what he is trying to do.

wesley looks quite pulled in two directions... he has to go back and forth with orders he doesn't believe in, yet is trying to and wanting to help angel (even wishing to go with him on one of his rounds--and like ghost-spike, can't do anything, but he wants to feel like he is). i want to see angel and wesley getting really close and bonding as the equal gray-area leaders they always were. and i want to see connor turn into his father's best bud. i really do.
