Buffyforums + London + booze = ?

A few of us have been chatting about the idea of having some kind of Christmas/New Year BUffyforums drink/party/something in London. Plans so far are incredibly vague (date really open to whatever people can make, whether it's November or January!)....but anyone interested? If there's loads of people, maybe we could hire a room in a pub? Or otherwise just meet in one.

What do you think? When might suit you?

EDIT: I'm compiling a list of dates people can do...I can pretty much do anything that's not too close to Christmas (oh and can't do Nov 15th)

Well funnily enough I'm actually going to be in London at that time of year. Though I'm not sure it really depends on how busy I'll be. I'm going with a couple of mates and it really depends if I can get some free time, but if I can I could probably make it.

The only dates I know I definitely wouldn't be able to make it is the week that Christmas falls into. Otherwise I can be flexible.

Just as a thought, would people prefer an evening-in-the-pub deal, or would it be better to start in the afternoon? I'm just thinking of what would be easier for people to get to and especially back from, without worrying about last trains and nightbuses.

I vote somewhere between 5th and 7th! Cause that was when I planned to be back in London before I flew back to Vancouver

But the bottle would be following me around England and then Amsterdam and then Paris and then England again and then just allll over! But again we will see

Well Vampmogs and myself are coming from other continents Just timing. PLUS London is HUGELY populated! PLUSSS any Forumer in England could get to London pretty easily really. Doesn't cost too too much usually.

Depends what you call cheaply. Rail fairs seem to have gone up so much (shows her age ) in the last few years.

For those in other parts of the UK there's always the coaches who's fares are a lot cheaper.

I'm off to WriterconUK today in fact and that will cost enough and I'll only be traveling from London to Reading.

Ooh, do not get me started on train fares...the fact that it's often cheaper to FLY to other parts of England is just ridiculous.
