Scream 4! Yes, a Cult Classic is coming back with a 4th film!

Well, I have some news for all you horror movies/Scream Trilogy fans. Scream is coming out with another film in 2010 (around Halloween) The company Weinsteins has put Scream 4 under their belt. The ideas are up in the air and scripts are still being looked at. The idea is still in it's early stages. I know people have a lot of question.

1. Will they return to Woodsboro
2. Will Neve, Courtney, and David comeback?
3. Will they ruin the trilogy?
4. Will the 4th one be good?
5. And why is Randy coming back(might)????

Kevin Williamson (writer of the first three films) Wants to return, he's just waiting for Neve to come around. He states that it wouldn’t be a Scream film with out her. Neve hasn’t said no, but she hasn’t said yes ,neither. It looks like Wes Craven will not be returning to the new installment of the Scream Trilogy. (never say never)

My thoughts:
Well I think the 4th installment can either make or break this franchise. This 4th film has to be better than all 3 of the originals or close to it. Can they do it? I don’t know... I'm not saying they shouldn’t do it, but if they do it cant be shitty. I do want Neve, Courtney and David to return. They helped make scream a cult classic and they are the original three characters that have lived through all three films. ALSO !!! They need to return to Woodsboro, that’s where it all started. I grew up on these films, and know them word for word. This movie is the movie that encouraged me to become a writer. Scream 4 HAS TO BE GOOD!

Right now this movie idea is iffy and I hope it works out b/c I’m excited for it. Scream has always gave me this classic 70's/80's horror feel to it and I want to keep it that way. I just hope this wont ruin this cult classic. I just wish more films like Scream can surface to the theaters. All these supernatural flicks are getting stupid.

I absolutely love the Scream franchise, and personally, all 3 films were amazing, no matter what other people thought. A fourth film is great! However, I'm not sure if it's going to be a success without Wes Craven or Neve Campbell. Without any of the original cast it'll just be another lame slasher flick, but I'd still watch it. Whatever happens, I'll be excited for Scream 4. Hopefully they won't create brand new characters and a brand new story. As long as they mention the past murders, or Sidney, then that's fine by me. It'd be great if they return to Woodsboro though!

I do want Neve, David and Courteney to come back, however I don't want the film to be centered on them. Maybe if the three of them die in the opening scene!

Even though I'm for Scream 4, I do believe it'll ruin the triology. The three flims were amazing, and Scream 3 had a perfect ending. But, we'll never know if it's a success or not unless they make it!!

Yes, Go scream 4. and We never actually Saw randy die they just implied it over that the next movie. I loved randy so I would be glad if they brought him Back Plus I cant wait to see this film if it goes through, It would be awesome

No, don't make another Scream film! Don't get me wrong I loved them but this is the problem with hollywood these days. They're trying to make a buck off something that was already a hit to the point where it screws over the greatness that was before it. I loved the 3rd Scream movie. It's probably my favorite of the 3 of them but I really don't want another one happening.

Well, I'm excited for the the 4th one, also. I do think it will ruin the trilogy b/c the first three films were AMAZING!!! I just hope they do the 4th one right. But to be honest, I dont know whats the point of doing a 4th one b/c they tied the story the three ones up pretty well. BUT!! I still cant wait for the 4th one. I hope Neve, Courtney, and David come back b/c they're just awesome. I do want some of them to die off. *fingers crossed*

I think if they do make a fourth one, they should do sorta what The halloween franchise did in like their Ninth movie. Kill the one he's been stalking at the beginning of the movie and have the rest of it be based around something new entirely. That would be interesting

I'm with Stacy on this one. I loved Scream franchise and the fact that Scream 3 gives all the reasons for what happened in the 1 and 2, Scream 3 was a closure. Don't re-open it!!!

That would suck. If they are going to make a new movie, they should have all the original cast members. If they can not get the original cast members, they should burn the script and never talk about it again. The problem with movies and their series nowadays is they never get the original people. I would like to see a fourth Scream, but only if they are going to do it right.

I don't think this should be made, I think the Scream franchise will be used just to milk the cow as the saying goes, there isn't much point in having a sequel if there is none of the original cast returning or the creator. I thought the whole point in the films was that they focused on Neve Campbell's character which is why the killer always focused on her, it being her boyfriend in the first because his dad ran off with Sydney's mother, then her boyfriend's mother to avenge her son's death and finally her long lost brother in the third movie.

I just don't see the point in making a new movie with a completely new group of characters and storyline, why not have it with a new title and have the storyline where it's a guy who is a copy-cat of the original killers, that would kind of make sense.

In my eyes that would actually be a good idea!!! It would make sence it could be like a spin-off I guess I dont know. But I've been thinking... I really think they should just leave Scream alone. The first second and third made sence and fit together in an awesome way. Why would they re-open a chapter???

I think the problem with hollywood is that they don't kno when to stop! No one can come up with original ideas so they are making thirds, and fourths, and remakes. Leave scream alone. The first three were great,.. let's not ruin them buy making a fourth. I honestly dont think it can be good, but more of a been there, seen that.
