I've seen more than I thought I would have. Then again, I did major in film for a few years before I switched to fiction writing. But haven't seen nearly as many movies as I used. After about 1999, I stopped watching so many because TV became my bitch instead. Too many movies disappointed me and sort of broke up with them. But we still have some hot sex every now and again. some of these definitely belong, some i hate and some need to wait at least a year before they are considered all-time classics. how did say... south park, the blair witch project and the 40-year old virgin... beat amadeus, winner of 8 oscars with both leads fighting for best actor? hey, i'm all for populist pictures like ghostbusters, terminator, big, etc... most of my favorite movies are in that vein (toss in perhaps beetlejuice to add to the edward scissorhands/ed wood tim burton love fest), but there are a lot of movies that should be moved in instead of half of the oscar winners from the last two years (let's wait just a little while longer).

and while i love risky business, rain man and jerry maguire... where's top gun? the most famous tom cruise movie of all!

the fugitive would be a good addition to the '80s/'90s harrison ford era.
